I just realised that I do post a bunch of things with sound and like me some of my followers might not have independent control of tumblr's volume(or we don't want to have to mess around with the browser's volume in the controls) so If you'd like to be able to control how loud tumblr is I highly recommend the Tumblr Volume Slider by Kiwisoup! It's very simple but really useful! Here's the link for Firefox!

We miss when this website was usable

there used to be volume control sliders on the videos by default (have to get a fucking plugin now)

blogs used to have *pages*, which meant that while their exact content would update as they added more, you could actually navigate them properly, if you lost your place, you'd know you were "about 20 pages in" and could start from there!

used to be when you were a few pages deep into someone's blog and clicked a link to a different post, or someone else's page, and forgot to open it into a separate tab, clicking the back button would take you back not just to the blog you just left, not just the page you just left, but the post you just clicked on would be centered in the screen!

used to be clicking on a post used to bring you to that post, not show you a reformatted, decontextualized version of it!

this site used to be usable, the internet used to be usable, this world used to be livable

Getting that first review and having it be a 5 star really made me excited to try and optimize and improve what is already there. I'm thinking about putting up a discord so people can give feedback or test the extensions I make.

Why is it so incredibly hard to upload extensions to Opera??? It took me like 30 seconds to figure out how to do it for Firefox. Everything about Chrome and Opera's documentation feels intentionally confusing.
