Damian's new classmate was what most people would deem as strange, Damian however could not see him as anything other than suspicious. Daniel Knight had joined in the midst of the school year, claiming to have moved here with his father Fredric Knight (first area of suspicion, a parent willingly moving both them and their child to Gotham) for a new start following his fathers divorce. The boy was reclusive when not spoken to directly, however he would not stop talking when a topic of his interest would come up. After searching further into his past (as he does with all his classmates) Damian found a relatively normal past, the only outstanding things being a noticeable drop in grades at the beginnings of freshman year relating to an undisclosed accident resulting in lichtenberg scarring starting from Daniels palm, and presumably up his arm being hidden by his sleeve. Apparently this accident left Daniel with irregular tremors and, every once in a blue moon, seizures. Damian had thought about taking this suspicious blockage of information to Tim or the Bat Computer to be bypassed, however the idea of sharing Daniel this cases existence with the rest of his family for some unexplained reason bothered him greatly, so Damian has come to the decision to figure out Knight’s true intentions on his own.

Meanwhile Danny’s just trying to live his new, semi-normal life in peace. After a reveal gone wrong results in some good old vivisection, Jazz Sam and Tucker recruit the help of Clockwork to find Danny a new home, where he can heal from both the physical and mental wounds. Clockwork ends up dumping Danny into the DC universe alongside Fright Knight, who was insistent on going with him, feeling responsible in helping to protect his young prince now since he feels he failed the first time. So with a bit of spacetime razzle dazzle, Tucker messing with stuff he probably shouldn't have messed with and a very tearful goodbye with promises to check in every day, Danny goes off to start his new life as Daniel Knight. It was going ok so far, he took half the year to himself, focusing on healing. Also so Frighty could adjust to the whole pretending to be human thing. Danny doesn't have any friends yet, and to be honest hasn't made the effort to make any (Jazz would be disappointed if she knew that), but there's this one boy in Danny's class who might be even weirder than him. Danny can feel Damian's eyes on him, knows how he follows him around without a sound (Danny really shouldn't be able to tell, he only knows because he isn't fully human(and in a weird way, Danny thinks that's kinda cool)), and whenever they do make eye contact Danny can see and feel the boy fluster and shy away.

Maybe he just needs a friend too.

Damian is just liminal enough (also possibly a growing halfa), that sometimes he has...quirks.

The most annoying one by far is when he gets stuck speaking a language no one knows (ghost speak) for hours on end.

Minor annoyances are glowing eyes (he just avoids people until it calms down), objects falling through his hands (he just uses his reflexes to make it look like he was doing a trick), and randomly gaining the ability to see the souls of the dead (thankfully it's obvious what they are, and they're useful witnesses).

He thinks he's just a meta coming into his power, and keeps forgetting to ask Duke for advise. (He's got better things to do, cases to solve, sparring to go to-)

Well, he thought that was it.

Then he went into his full halfa form after an...incident.

This whole thing is why Jon receives a call at three in the morning demanding instructions on how flying works.

Harley Quinn watches from her window as a teenager with a glowing raccoon on one shoulder, a tiny scraggly kitten on the other, and a half dozen glowing green rats trailing behind him, just walks past her apartment.

Billy Batson did not expect to be spotted turning into Shazam by a gloomy goth girl who was hanging out in the alleyway he dove into to magically change. Frightened of the possible repercussions, Shazam simply fled. No time to cover up his tracks, the situation he needed to attend to was urgent. After the fight Billy went to a diner to celebrate his victory in defeating Mister Mind once again. He felt like an ostrich sticking his neck in the dirt, avoiding the very important task of tracking down that goth girl who spotted him in the alley. Lucky for him he didn’t even need to find her, as he looked up from his burger and fries he spotted her walking towards his booth. “Hi, I’m Sam. We need to talk”

Everyone has a soulmate mark on their hand and it glows when you move towards them and glows brighter the closer you get. Poor Danny has one that never glows. Even during the whole thing with the reality gauntlet, never glowed once. He thought maybe his soulmate passed away but it doesn’t glow in the infinite realms either. Then one day he falls through a portal to another world and it starts glowing. After he finds them does he even want to go back?

This prompt left ambiguous to fit anyone in DC but I’d definitely do DamianXDanny if it were me, LMAO

Like Dr. Fate is a Lord of Order. Klarion is a Lord of Chaos. But? By their very natures? NEITHER are correct? Klarion is just both mischievous and more of a dangerous asshole day to day. Less consistent.

Absolute Order is a bad thing. It stifles, stagnates, and destroyes. Absolute Chaos is much the same. Destructive, formless, and self-cannibalizing. You need BALANCE. But??? Does Balance need THEM?

Or does he fuckin HATE those guys?

Real dialogue

The Batfam (mainly Bruce and Tim, later Dick) start getting suspicious when Damian wants to end patrol earlier, is on his phone more and more, and begins sneaking out. Nobody really wants to say it, but as the youngest in the family starts to act differently, they fear he has changed his mind regarding his morals and is in contact with Talia to go back to the League.

Only, when they are desperate, do they call in Clark (and essentially Jon) to spy (use superhearing on him) on Damian when he sneaks out once again. Things seem fine, until he goes to a spot that is clearly a meeting point and waits. Minutes later, Clark hurriedly informs them that Damian is meeting someone.

Just not Talia.

Tim is the first to ask who when Clark interrupts with a-

"He has a boyfriend?! Jon, did you know about this?!"

That has them all reeling back.

Boyfriend? Their youngest has a boyfriend and was keeping it a secret?

It's when Oracle (who was tasked to find anything regarding Damian when he was out) sends a video from the meeting spot Damian is at do they see two figures.

One in black, grey and red. Damian.

And the other in black and grey. The mysterious 'boyfriend'.

Damian is poking the other in the chest with a frown, clearly annoyed and the boy only puts his hands up, an apologetic yet fond smile on his face.

They manage to hear the audio and Dick nearly passes out when he hears them speak.

"Honesty, do you have to run off every time you go 'ghost', you're constantly endangering yourself and it's going to get you caught." Damian says, frown still on his face before he's stepping back and crossing his arms.

"I know, I'm sorry, babe, honest. It's just that someone needed my help and I wasn't thinking all there."

'Babe?!' They all thought.
