a) someone literally just asked me about it on my main which is a hilarious coincidence b) it's called wings of shadow, let twilight fall.

For those curious, it's based on a (misremembered) scene from the twilight princess manga in which Link loses an arm, gets thrown off a bridge, and drowns in three inches of water, then healed by the light spirit. My version goes differently, because the light spirit heals him, but forgets the arm. And also gives him wings. And gills. (The current goal is "how inhuman can I make him be (within reason)?")

Introducing the next Tournament: Best Princess Dress!

We've determined who the Best Princess is, but what about the fashion? With so many different outfits to choose from, it's now time to decide which princess is the most fashion-forward!

Submissions will close November 20th

Rules:

-The dress must be from a fictional media

-It doesn't have to be a ballgown or very "princess-y" as long as it's a dress worn by a princess (If you're unsure whether your character qualifies as a princess, read this)

-You can submit multiple dresses, but please don't spam the same one

-No problematic media (ex. Harry Potter)

-No dress is guaranteed an entry, so be sure to submit your favorite!

Uses swords to kill people as leader/ princess of the league of assassins.

She was trained in sword fighting by her father, Ra’s al Ghul, who’s considered one of the best swordsman’s in the DC Universe. The sword is now her primary weapon; She looks good while using it.

Uses two swords at once. Skilled fighter and swordswoman. Assassin; Very hot

If the person who submitted Princess Sapphire didn't bother with propaganda, I'm happy to help! Sapphire is the OG shoujo action girl and also the OG androgynous anime swordswoman. She fights crime! She has three (3) separate identities and a totally different relationship with her love interest in each of them! Her aesthetic is basically "what if the Takarazuka did Disney's Snow White?"! She's a fun character in her own right, but also she was massively influential in anime and manga. Without her, a good number of the other popular competitors in this tournament (Lady Oscar, Utena, Sailor Uranus) wouldn't exist, and I think she deserves some respect for that.

We're here to decide who the best book siblings are

We all know the drill by now, but just to be clear, here are the rules:

They can be two or more siblings

Adopted siblings are allowed (of course), but they have to be actual siblings, not childhood best friends who say they're like siblings to each other, or anything like that (eg Kell and Rhy from A Darker Shade of Magic are eligible, but not Kaz and Jesper from Six of Crows, even though Kaz calls Jesper by his brother's name at some point)

You can submit as many siblings as you want, but only once for each!

By "best", I don't mean the ones who work best together or the ones who get along the best, they can be an absolute mess if you want, this is just a popularity contest

Here’s a tournament for characters whose secondary ability seems to be how quickly they adopt children. To qualify for this tournament, a character must have at least two kids who are not blood related. For the purposes of this poll, adoption does not have to be legal, it can be emotional, or even just a headcanon. We are all fans of found family here.

Submissions will stay open until October 23, 12 pm CST, or until I say otherwise!

Welcome to the Disabled Characters Showdown Part 2

General Information:

Who can be entered:

Anyone can be entered that is disabled. This includes physically disabled characters, neurodivergent characters, and characters with mental health things like anxiety or depression. This is pretty much limited to canon confirmed characters (We’ll get more into that in a bit). Everyone that was in the prior round here and pretty much everyone from @gay-disabled-characters-showdown are free game but not guaranteed in unless they are submitted.

The usual suspects (We will make a post that will be updated as we go with other banned media)

Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Toothless and Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon. This is due to them being the finalists in our first round.

What counts as canon confirmed:

Best: stated in canon

Other options: word of god confirmed, or heavily coded, they just aren’t gonna have a specific label due to setting.

What doesn’t count as canon confirmed (especially for things like PTSD): they should have a lot of trauma, but there is literally no acknowledgement of anything that could be construed as such.

If you are not sure a character qualifies please send us an ask.

Some notes on timing:

We have to write image descriptions for all the characters, which means to get the showdown set up it takes us a kind of ridiculously long time. This means when the showdown gets started is likely to change. Additionally, please don’t have any crises until the showdown ends on August 26. Unless you send us a message we won’t be able to respond until then. Any asks that we get by that time will be responded to, and then we will disappear off the face of the earth until like the 1st or 2nd of September.

Submissions:

Characters can be submitted in the google form linked. If you are not comfortable using a google form you can also shoot us an ask. You can submit as many characters as you like, but please do not spam the same character. The amount of submissions will not help their chances of getting into the showdown. We are aiming to have this as large as possible. When will submissions close? Who knows, certainly not us.

Please do not assume your character has been submitted just because they are from a popular media, they probably haven’t been.

Disclaimers under the cut.

1.) Please tell us if we are using the wrong terminology or are doing something offensive, we are trying our best but are also only human.

2.) This showdown will be as big as we can get it probably, however, we reserve the right to not include characters at our discretion.

3.) We will block without warning, please be civil when interacting with the content.

4.) If you have an issue with one of the characters feel free to send us an ask and we’ll figure out what to do from there. That being said this isn’t really about who is the best representation.

this is the obliterated character tournament, enter your favorite character who has been killed in a way that ended in their bodies being mangled beyond recognition.

Qualifications 

the character must be dead

they must be visibly injured (Mufasa doesn’t count, he looked fine, he was just dead)

the character’s body must have been mangled in some way that makes them hard to recognize. body parts should be in places they shouldn’t, or should be crushed in ome way or another (if they where just munched on by a zombie or gutted that doesn’t count)

the more unique and gruesome the better,

some examples of deaths that could be entered into the tournament: (head crushed by a ceailing tile, crushed by a door and trampled on, exploded, head turned into a ballon, cut in half, put in a wood chipper, etc)

feel free to enter as many characters as you want, and to send asks with propaganda, but character bashing is unacceptable.

i knowww people love them however they give me a massive ick. not bc amons an animal although some people could argue its problematic i dont care about that i care about how weird he is to her. its just like stoooopppppp thatttttttt every time i read it. kudos to the art tho

She's a girlboss who is sometimes a little vain but still loves her friends and will do anything to save her kingdom. Also she was in love with a guy since she was like 8 and he continuously rejected her, and then she found out he was in love with her archenemy. So yeah, she needs this.

She's kinda spoiled and high maintenance but gets better. I just think she's a fun character

i loved the land of stories series as a kid and i especially loved red because shes sooo full of herself and wears beautiful dresses and expensive jewelry and stuff (she became a queen lol) but also she does come to genuinely care for people and her friends and has a good heart (even if she does brag about it) she’s a very funny character x)

Red Riding Hood:

She tamed the Jabberwocky and calls it "Kitty". She calls the Big Bad Wolf her "puppy". She's kind of really creepy.
