“In truth, I’m not particularly certain myself..” he pauses a bit. “Usually I think fortune telling is a bunch of nonsense, but I..I should stop judging things so quickly so I suppose I’m rather curious.”

Mondo was surprised by the sudden forcefulness, eventually calming down.
“R-right... sorry Taka-chan...” Mondo took a few deep breaths and calmed down
“I’m sorry... I just really need to be here... my family’s school hangs in the balance...”
psychic-sidekick-and-friends:
“But taka chan if I can’t perfect this routine I can’t pass my exam and if I can’t pass my exam, I’ll be forced to leave! I can’t let that happen!!” Said mondo defensively, almost on the verge of tears.
So that was why he’d been seeing him doing that lately… Though that didn’t excuse that he was going to hurt himself or permanently be unable to walk properly if he kept that up despite that, quiet sternness along with worry in his crimson eyes as he gently grabbed the other’s hands and made him do the calming techniques he’d been taught.
“B-breathe… Y-you… Y-you’ll only hurt your c-chances more if you don’t rest… W-we both still have q-quite a bit of time left… I-I’m sure it will heal before then…”

“But taka chan if I can’t perfect this routine I can’t pass my exam and if I can’t pass my exam, I’ll be forced to leave! I can’t let that happen!!” Said mondo defensively, almost on the verge of tears.

Mondo continued to dance until he felt a sharp pain and stopped. Stopping the music. Damn his ankle! Even when it was almost healed he couldn’t finish the routine! But he had to!! His future depended on it. Even so he sat down and massaged it for a bit, unaware of his friends’ worries for now…
It wasn’t until several minutes later that the absence of the music happened to pull him out of the state he was in, concern in his eyes as he opened them to see the other massaging his ankle. Was he still in pain from that incident or had he just harmed himself again right then? Either way he was by his side in the blink of an eye and gently tending to it as he made sure the other rested.
“Y-you shouldn’t strain it… I-it won’t heal p-properly if you do…”
