Now that I'm not constrained by Twitter's character limit, I can finally say this unimpeded:

Oh my GOD, Ritsu + Reigen + smoking is so sexy, whether it's Ritsu berating Reigen for doing it (especially around a kid like him, how DARE he, what kind of irresponsible adult is he???), or begging to be allowed to try it (not because he's interested in having an indirect kiss, no, this is purely for the experience of inhaling poisonous smoke into his lungs).

College-age Ritsu smoking after sex and surprising Reigen, because Reigen would never have guessed that HE, Mister Stickler-in-the-mud, would have taken up something as scandalous and damaging as smoking (possibly before he was even twenty!).

Working adult Ritsu lighting the tip of Reigen's cigarette with his own, or passing one back and forth between them because between the two of them that's all they had left.

Young brat Ritsu manipulating Reigen into getting into the habit again by insisting that it's fine to smoke around him. Maybe he stopped because of Mob, but his brother's not here right now, and Ritsu doesn't mind it at all.

Reigen's grey suit and his grey sweat-clothes that he always sleeps in, the grey hair growing in at his temples as he gets older and the rims of the glasses he eventually has to wear, they're all smoke-colored, and smoke becomes Ritsu's favorite thing. He falls asleep at night to thoughts of smoke-clouded rooms, and presses his nose against Reigen's smoke-scented lapel while he dozes on the train next to him.
