So in 2021 Sarah did an interview saying that while she was finishing up ACOMAF and writing ACOWAR at the same time, she went out with her editor and she was drunk explaining what Stories she would like to tell. She said she wanted to tell the stories of Nesta, Elain, Mor, Azriel, to her editor. (She said this in this interview: https://youtu.be/XrC23s33UxI?si=PMztG1FrXZbDjfZi)

Then two weeks later, her editor called her and told her “we want to buy the spin-offs”.
so now we know that she signed the spin-offs while she was working on MAF. she signed one of the spin offs as an “Elucien book”
Then later when MAF came out and after the drunk rambling with her editor. She said this:
Now we know she signed the spin off before MAF release. Then in this comment she confirmed Elucien.
Then in 2021 she said this:
Sarah in 2021 literally confirmed her planning for the next book did not change from the rambling with her editor, the rambling that was before she confirmed Elucien!!😭😭
She’s basically saying that she did not change her mind on Elucien.
Drunk rambling with her editor about the future stories —> signed the spin-offs —> MAF release —> the Facebook comment —> in 2021 saying it didn’t change from her drunk rambling.
Look I have a lot to say about the way Rhysand treats Nesta but I think he is judged too harshly for what happened UTM. “He let an innocent girl die!” Yes, what did you think he meant when he said he had to do atrocious things to keep himself and his court safe? Things that still give him nightmares, make him sick? He’s shown significant remorse for what he had to do. At no point does he deny that he chose himself and his family over everyone else. Rhys took Claire’s pain away. What was he supposed to do? Give up his 50 year cover, his life and his family to save her? Be real
i think one of the most interesting aspects of Aelin’s character is that, despite being the chosen one both by the gods (nameless is their price) and by birth (the queen that was promised), she doesnt kill ANY of the big bads herself.
cain? chaol kills him. arobynn? lysandra. the king of adarlan? dorian. cairn? rowan. erawan? yrene. maeve? fenrys.
so many stories have the chosen one hero battling down with their enemies and eventually slaying them. and aelin absolutely has a part in all their deaths, theyre simply just never by her hand. she has every right to claim those deaths for herself, but she doesnt.
aelin's the chosen one, but most importantly, shes chosen by her PEOPLE, by her FRIENDS!!! and those bonds that she forged is what saves the world in the end and i think thats beautiful.
Just imagine being the poor bastard who one day tries to pick said girl up for a first date only for some guy called the Lord of Bloodshed answering the door in seemingly great spirits but clapping you so hard on the back your ancestors' bones rattle. A jovial, good-natured gesture...and a warning.
Meanwhile while your date's mother, Lady Death, glares at you silently and unmoving through the doorway.
Hear me out. I don't remember if Lorcan scars like a human or like a fae, I genuinely don't. But regardless of the text - that doesn't even mention his skin tone, mind you - I always imagined him with scars. Now keeping that in mind, Lorcan took that lashing for Rowan, right...?
I don't know, the scars just add to his character for me. And at this point I don't even care if it's accurate 💅
