crazy how in just 4 years of cinema we went from a movie (Birds Of Prey) about Dr Harleen "Harley Quinn" Quinzel emancipating herself from her abusive partner and becoming a fully realised human being through solidarity with other abused women - to a movie that romanticises her abusive relationship in a musical that erases all other elements of who she is as a character. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised given how the last 4 years of real life (see: Amber Heard, Megan Thee Stallion, etc) has shown audiences actually really love to see bisexual women degraded as spectacle. So of course Joker 2 exists. Of course people are excited about it. Because most people actually hate women and bisexual women and don't actually take intimate partner abuse seriously. This sucks so much.
