Although he was much kinder than she had thought he would be. Not that she expected him to be rude exactly, though, there were rumors he use to be. Hard to believe those rumors now.

     ❝Actually, there was a reason I wanted to talk to you.❞ The real source of her nervousness. Self introductions are easy, asking someone for a favor was not. Especially one as odd as hers. ❝Uhm... how do I put this... you're a second generation slayer right?❞

Well, that explained the familiarity. He noted the fidgeting and did his best not to do anything to make it worse, nodding once.

"Makes sense, yeah. We're usually out on jobs or just stopping in to grab another, recently. Nice to put a name to the face, though." He offered a hand to shake, hesitating only slightly.

"Mind the static -- usually gets people at least once." Whether he wanted it to or not.

☂ ❚❙❘ Hands clasped together eagerly at the excitement. Perhaps Juvia wasn't as big of a fan of sweets as much as Erza, but she was very found of them. More so creating the baked goods compared to eating them. But going to a fancy shop would certainly give her inspiration for her next endeavor in the kitchen.

     ❝Yes lets.❞ A peek at the map and then the girl turned to the proper direction. Waiting for her companion to match her so they could begin to the walk together. At the mention of the others, Juvia pulled out her lacrima telephone. She was still getting use to using such new technology but she found an old chat when all the girls and told them their location. ❝If they can't join us maybe they'll like to know to pick out a slice for them?❞

IT'S THE PERK OF BEING a well-renowned wizard. One becomes reacquainted with high-paying clients, establishing great connections and reaping handsome rewards. Erza isn't materialistic, but she doesn't turn down a gift acquired through hard work and legal means. It's a bonus that she's allowed to invite her friends over.

          ❝Where should we start? Good question.❞ She taps her index finger on her chin and thinks for a moment, getting her answer when she hears her stomach rumble. ❝Let's eat,❞ she decides. ❝I heard they have an amazing selection of cakes here.❞ Her eyes light up. ❝I believe they'll travel here after their mission. ♫ ❚❙❘ She quickly looked away after catching herself looking far too long. It seemed the other had unfortunately noticed as well, leaving Olexa embarrassed and slightly ashamed for her rude behavior, even if it wasn't intentional. Her eyes darted around, gluing themselves now on to the magazines right in front of them.

The cover gained her attention and she ended up picking it up out of nerves. Wanting the appearance of doing something, less the idea she was only in the area because of the celebrity next to her. Truthfully the girl had little interests in most magazines. This one was informative at least and not full of gossip about her friends' life. Lucy had even once tried to get her to interview with them after Olexa had gained her own mini fame thanks to her guild status, but she was far too shy to accept.

     ❝N-no sor-sorry. I-I'm the-the one in-in your way I-I...❞ Words were never her friend on a normal day, let alone with someone she admired. How she wished she could just disappear right now, but that would do her little good. So instead she just took a deep breath. ❝I-I'm Olexa Holl, I-I actually am a-a musician li-like yo-you...❞

There was nothing quite so humbling as a train, she thought, while eyeing the heavy tracks within the station. Everyone was at the mercy of the train’s schedule, whether they were rich or poor, powerful or not. Yet not everyone thought so. She sighed at the way a nearby businessman huffed about the train’s delay, he seemed to think it was a personal affront against him and even stomped his foot. By nature (and perhaps by magic), she was not the type to let that which she couldn’t control affect her too much. Like water, it was best to go with the flow, she believed.

With her arms lightly folded, she turned her eyes to the stand of magazines before her and skimmed over their titles. As the latest issue of Melody Magic caught her eye, she became aware that she had caught the eye of someone else. While being stared at was an incredibly common experience for her, she never allowed herself to become too used to it that she would ever be caught off guard. As she tended to do, Evie gave no indication that she felt anyone’s eyes upon her, she merely continued to serenely observe the glossy covers in front of her. After a moment, while discreetly assessing the young mage watching her, she reached for the music-based magazine and tugged it free.

She flicked through a few of its pages before turning and finding the eyes of the young woman, offering her a smile. “Sorry, am I in your way?”

Freed & Olexa: Freed’s education included learning certain musical instruments, particularly the piano and violin. This gave him and Olexa something to talk about and bond over (along with her lullaby project) and sometimes, when he hears of a concert or show, he invites her to attend with him.

Leo & Olexa: Sometime after the GMG, he visited the guild and spotted the recently joined Olexa. Old habits die hard, he flirted with her but soon stopped as she seemed uncomfortable, and he changed the topic to ask her about her magic. He has an interest in music, particularly classical, so he was genuinely interested in what she had to say and took care to be friendly and not flirty.

Leo & Chico: While celestial spirits are not affected by her magic, she still unnerved him during his banishment years, as he wondered if she knew (like Bixlow) what he really was. Due to his reputation as a flirt, it would have been odd for him to avoid her, especially as he’d already developed a certain habit of avoiding celestial spirit mages, and someone might put some pieces together. To get around this, he simply told people that even though Chico was cute, her magic gave him the creeps. After becoming contracted to Lucy, he felt the need to find Chico and explain/apologise to her.

Rogue/Frosch & Chico: Rogue and Frosch visited Magnolia somewhat recently and ended up in the café Chico runs. Frosch became fascinated with her cat beanie and kept trying to climb Chico to touch it, much to an apologetic Rogue’s exasperation.

🕯 ❚❙❘ A new drink was placed in front of the other, chai and lavender. Sounded odd but Chico believed it combined well. The cafe's newest creation, although she would be the first to admit it was inspired by new flower flavors she had heard rumors about from the capitol. Hopefully she was doing it better, after all there for no way for her to actually go out and compare.

     ❝My treat. All I ask is your honest opinion.❞ She was just happy to see the familiar face after so long.

༄ ❚❙❘ She found herself fidgeting with her hands as she made the approach and started off the interaction. A quick glance behind her for support turned to disappointment as the girl realized her team mate had stayed behind. Well, out of the two of them, Rayne was the more social and this was her idea. Although it did not make it any easier to approach someone arguably intimidating.

     ❝Oh!! My bad!! Let me introduce myself.❞ Of course she knew who he was, but it was probably wrong for her to assume everyone kept up with the new members, even if this guild was rather close.

     ❝I'm Rayne Lockser, Juvia's sister. I've been actually been in the guild for a bit now but I guess we never had the chance to talk until now.❞ She could feel herself rambling out of nerves and forced it to stop.

CHICO ― seven year time skip

🕯 ❚❙❘ When the tenrou group first disappeared, it was one of the few times Chico left Magnolia. No matter the trouble or hassle it may take to regain all her lost souls, it would be worth it if she found her friends. It would be worth it even if she didn't. Chico knew she needed to at least try. She feared that she might see their ghosts, but that would be better than nothing. Yet nothing it was they got.

It was not as if they had given up. No one in the Fairy Tail guild would ever give up on the hope their missing family would return. However, they all did their best to continue with their lives, and Chico was no exception. After leaving several times, she eventually collected all her souls and stayed in the city.

Usually her relationship with her father was good. But it was during this time that they started to argue a lot. He wished to help his daughter move on, and his idea of that was to give her work to do. She wished to stay in the guild, even if it started to slow down. When the guild was forced to move just outside of town, making it unable for Chico to remain a member, he pushed her again. In that he attempted to get her to give up on Fairy Hill, which she was up keeping with the remaining girls. She didn't want to let go of the idea that the others would return, and when they did she was certain they would like their stuff back.

Chico struck a deal with her father, she took over his second cafe project in return for allowing her to keep Fairy Hill as is. That is how she created "The Witches Brew", a magic inspired coffee shop and bakery. Her old guildmates stop by constantly, filling her in on what she missed. In return Chico exchanges news with them, thanks to the cafe and her ghosts, she sort of turned into an information hub. Meant for collecting any whispers of their friends but it turned into gossip.

After everyone returned safely, and the guild returned back into the city, the girl gained back her membership. Although she found herself loving the cafe and still spends most of her time there. She stops by the guild in her free time and picks up Magnolia only jobs like she did in the past.

☂ ❚❙❘ An all expense paid trip, sounded like award one would get in a televised show. Juvia was always impressed with Erza. She put it in her mind to ask for the story later. Simply must know the heroic act the other must have put on to lead to such a gift. Especially since their group was usually known for causing destruction, even if they were saviors.

     ❝Where would you like to start?❞ The girl walked over to a directory. Eyes scanning the list of locations this place offered. ❝What time did Lucy and Wendy say they'll arrive?❞ They should probably save some of the rarer experiences when the entire group was together. However there was so much to do regardless. She was starting to feel Erza's excitement.

❝IT IS, ISN'T IT?❞ ERZA enthuses, her eyes shining in excitement. The luxurious resort is a heavy splurge, but their stay is free of expenses. It's a reward from a mission she'd taken. Their patron just happens to be the proprietor of a well-renowned Konzern, owning plenty of resorts.

          ❝Of course!❞ she assures Juvia. ❝You'd be a better companion than those rascals.❞ She grimaces, thinking about Natsu and Gray. Shaking her head, she rids herself of any stressful thoughts. ❝The other girls might get here later. But for now, let's have fun, shall we?❞

CHICO ― ghosts && magic

🕯 ❚❙❘ Legend of City is a rare magic that tends to be passed to one family per city. For Magnolia it is the Hammitt family as the have been there since it's founding. However, despite this fact, their family does not have mages often, and Chico is the first in several generations to have this talent. Due to this, she had to learn a lot of it on her own, sorting out who is real and who has passed.

A lot of her magic she figured out herself, along with advice given to her by her grandmother, Hilda, who would recount family stories about mages from their ancestor linage. Soon she started forming friends with the ghosts and took it upon herself to help them in any way she could. Chico, being found of mysteries, quite enjoyed assisting lost souls into moving on, although embracing her magic did little to help her reputation in town. Nevertheless, she grew up to adore Magnolia, especially when hearing stories of it from her new spirit friends.

Between wanting to help people, and her grandmother having her help in Fairy Hills, it was only natural Chico became a Fairy Tail mage starting as young teenager. She felt truly connected there, and while she could only take on jobs in the city, expanding her magical skills beyond conversing with the dead is something she is proud of.

Most of the ghosts she has under her control as friendly. In the same sense that it is helpful, although not entirely necessary, for a celestial spirit mage to be kind to those contracted to work with them, Chico tries to maintain a good relationship with her ghosts. However there are a few on her roaster whom given the chance will leave her. They are powerful in battle due to their destructive nature, but it is for that fact that the girl is forced to keep them at bay. If released they would go and harm the living, which is can not allow.

Chico would like to see more of the country, she isn't diluted that the town is the best there is to see. But there is a sense of duty as the only one who sees this after all to stick with it and protect it. And honestly, she is content with that. Just as long as her guildmates don't leave her again.

☂ ❚❙❘ ❝How fancy!❞ Juvia glanced around the entrance. Just a few steps in and already she found herself in awe. Sure the guild tended to go to a lot of bath houses and hot springs, but a resort felt different. A place to not only relax, but to be taken care of.

     ❝Are you sure it's okay Juvia tagged along?❞ The girl almost brought up how it was a shame the boys weren't invited but she caught herself. Truthfully it was nice to be allowed into a ladies only outing. At least this way it would be more likely for the trip to remain easy going.

After a long week of a strenuous mission, courtesy of her team's chaotic tendencies hindering its success, she's ready to unwind. She dons a sundress and sunglasses, deviating from her usual armor, indicating that she's on vacation mode. Getting pampered at a spa resort, away from the source of her headache, feels like paradise.

I think I found a fc for Chico! The character is very smiley but I kind of prefer looks matching and using less icons than having a lot of ic icons but it doesn't do her original design justice. If anyone has a different character suggestion feel free to leave it!

In other news I will also be moving Lucy and Lilian to request only muses since I don't want to just delete them. I love them both but they're hard for me to write, especially Lucy. I adore her, trust me, but main characters make me so nervous. My blog will slowly be making changes while I start moving stuff around // finish up with the school quarter.

I have so many thoughts on Chico now that I looked into her a bit more and I can't wait to post hcs and other stuff for her!

We were just talking about the fairy tail verse for Monday so I am going to keep building off that !! A lot depends on when Monday would have joined the guild to determine exact dynamics. Olexa and Rayne both joined after the GMG which leads to them being a team, but they are trying to always make friends in their own awkward way. As someone who gets overwhelmed easily, Olexa would find Monday someone easy to approach. Even if they are chatty, the quiet of their conversations would make talking to them not as daunting compared to other guild members. She also has a eye for magic and would love to learn about the different kinds Monday has and uses.

Rayne is someone who is over the top once her walls are down and she would adore Monday's dream magic. Like how Juvia tends to have an overactive imagination when it comes to love, Rayne has an overactive imagination period, and would go on and on about her weird dreams to see what could be created from them. If Monday joins the guild around the same time as them or after it increases the chance Rayne would drag them into team sound waves mission. Regardless Rayne would make friends with them and talk their ear off, asking so many questions about their life. Especially as someone who was very sheltered as a child and barely has traveled around her current counties, she would be curious to hear about life in another.

I view Lucy as someone who is extremely caring but would meddle endlessly when trying to help someone. She is one to try to give advice when not needed or help new members get their footing. She would be one to always check in on Monday to see if they are getting along alright. Maybe even show her around Magnolia, stuff like that.

oh boy do I !! I've had this idea in my head since forever. of Rayne asking Laxus to help her master her dragon slayer abilities after she gets them. I believe due to him being one of the few second gen slayers he would be better suited to help compared to the main slayers of the series. Since her powers are still new to her (canon timeline wise she gets them after main series ended but before 100yq) she has a low handle on them and could use the help.

In general I think both girls could training. Olexa is great at crafting spells and could use outside opinions from experienced mages (like Laxus // the thunder legion) about her creations. Perhaps even test them out on him.
