"Hmm? Shorry, I wash eating." His cheeks had ballooned out, stuffed with meat slathered in barbecue sauce and whatever else had come with the food he had ordered that evening. "What'sh going on?"

Mammon sighed and turned his back-handed tap into a reassuring pat on his younger brother's bicep. "Never mind, big guy. You just keep eatin' and forget I said anythin'!"

Beelzebub blinked once, shrugged and did exactly as he was told.

"A'ight, listen up. First, we ain't collectin' humans. Second, ya really think we don't know how short things are gonna be? We know it ain't gonna last forever, but that ain't the point! The point is makin' the time we got matter! Why waste it gettin' all sad and mopey when we could be doin' somethin' fun or eatin' good food, right?"

Beelzebub nodded once. "Mhmm!"

"See? And it ain't like they ain't entertained too! Yeah, I get it — we're a bunch'a selfish, stupid demons that only do stuff for themselves! But those humans are makin' us better, and we owe 'em for it. The least we can do is remember 'em and make loads of memories before they go.
