I find it so hilarious that I can scroll my Mastodon feed with total confidence in public and not my Tumblr feed despite the fact that Tumblr doesnt allow adult content and on Mastodon I follow several NSFW accounts including some artists that draw straight up explicit porn, but on Mastodon everyone just respects and uses the integrated content warning system that hides images with a CW unless you choose to view them and Tumblr is still trying to rely on a horrendously broken automated content filtering system that will ban a photo of a mountain range if it looks a bit too much like a boob but allows thousands of porn bots to rage unchecked. Like most Mastodon instances just ask nicely for people to CW their nudes and everything is fine. Tumblr tries to automate it all and fails tremendously.
