A quickie design for the day: Nokama hordika and Gaaki (they/them)
I had fun drawing both of them, I used an orca's design as insp for Nokama here, tho some bonkle mutuals helped out in getting ideas churning for the others and Nokama here.
This is my first time thinking about Rahaga too, and I haven't even jotted down what I think a Rahkshi would look like humanized, buuuuuut tbh it'd probably just be their movie versions but more fleshy and all. And Gaaki being they/them was just a creative liberty uwu
Enjoy~
If you were to cut off the Great Spirit Robot's head (bear with me a second here) and line it up with its torso, it would take up a considerable portion of the space in there. So, with that in mind, and considering that the island of Mata Nui covered the GSR's entire face, does that mean the island of Mata Nui was as large as, if not bigger than, the two "continent" landmasses in the robot's chest?
‘Near the cockpit, Vakama and Onewa strategized. Despite their disagreements, the two Toa had developed a grudging respect for each other. If Vakama still had his moments of doubt, and Onewa still thought with his mouth too often, they remained the best tacticians among the Toa. Whenua had been invited to join their council, but had refused, preferring to keep to himself.
The Toa/ Turaga Metru didn’t actually have to split the Matoran off into six separate villages and live far away from each other, but it was what they were accustomed to in Metru Nui so they didn’t really consider any other option.
So, learning about other areas of the Matoran Universe where Matoran of different elements share a village would be strange for them. I imagine reactions varied from “why would they do that, that’s not natural” to “why didn’t we think of that?”
Anyone else find they have really different feelings towards the Toa Metru vs the Turaga of Mata Nui, despite knowing that they're the same characters?
For me sometimes it's logical, like how Toa Matau is kind of like the dorky younger brother I wish I had, while Turaga Matau is kind of like the dorky uncle I wish I had. Other times though it's like,
