Dash: How did you learn Ghost Speak? Was it difficult?
Danny: Oh, it wasn’t too hard. I mean, all I really had to do was disregard any and all safety precautions set by my parents, follow my inflated ego into an unknown contraption into another world, and you know, turn it on while inside in order to fry my brain with the power of a thousand suns. Normal stuff.
I know this has been said a lot but it’s still so sad that Danny’s entire secret identity is built around keeping him safe from his family instead of the usual superhero secret identity trope where the hero is trying to keep their family safe from the villains. Like, all of Danny’s enemies know his secret identity. He has to keep it a secret from his family to protect himself from them. It’s such a twist and it’s so sad

They’re based off of his three favorite character types: Pretty Girl, Villain with Teeth, and Bird. Now just imagine the male trainer as a “Don Bluth Boyfriend” type and we’re set.
