Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie mehr Zeit mit ihren Freunden verbringt als mit dir. Du hast ihr beigebracht, dass du nie anwesend sein wirst. Du hörst nicht zu, wenn sie spricht. Du erinnerst dich nicht an die Dinge, die sie dir erzählt hat. Du fragst nicht, wie sie sich fühlt oder was sie bedrückt. Du hast ihr beigebracht, dass du dich nie so sehr um sie kümmern wirst wie ihre Freunde. 

Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie anfängt, Dinge ohne dich zu planen. Du hast ihr beigebracht, dass du immer nein sagen wirst. Du hast ihr beigebracht, wie sie ihre Zukunft ohne dich planen kann. Du hast ihr beigebracht, dass du nicht dabei sein willst, dass du lieber allein bist als mit ihr. Du wolltest die Welt nie mit ihren Augen sehen.

Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie dich nicht vermisst, wenn du weg bist. Du hast ihr beigebracht, dich nicht zu vermissen. Du hast ihr das Gefühl gegeben, dass du sie nie vermisst hast. Sie hat nie das Gefühl gehabt, dass ihre Abwesenheit einen Unterschied für dich gemacht hat. Sie hat nie das Gefühl gehabt, dass sie deinem Leben einen Mehrwert hinzugefügt hat. Du hast ihr nie gezeigt, dass du sie vermisst. Du hast es ihr nie gesagt.

Wunder dich nicht, wenn sie dich ignoriert. Du hast sie jahrelang nur ignoriert. Sie war immer diejenige, die Kompromisse eingegangen ist. Sie war immer diejenige, die ihren Terminplan für dich geändert hat. Sie war immer diejenige, die sich mehr Mühe gegeben hat. Sie hat immer mehr investiert, bis sie erkannte, dass es sich um eine schlechte Investition handelte. Eine Investition, die sie immer wieder verliert. Sie erinnert sich langsam daran, wer sie war, bevor sie dich kennenlernte.

Wunder dich nicht, wenn sie anfängt weg zu laufen. Sie fängt an zu merken, dass sie sich auf dich eingestellt hat. Sie fängt an, sich daran zu erinnern, was sie eigentlich verdient. Sie öffnet langsam ihre Augen und sieht, wie sehr du sie für selbstverständlich hältst. Sie kommt langsam zu der Erkenntnis, dass jemand anders sie so viel besser behandeln könnte. Jemand anderes wird ihr nicht das Gefühl geben, unsichtbar zu sein

Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie aufhört, aufmerksam oder fürsorglich zu sein. Wundere dich nicht, wenn ihre zärtlichen Worte sauer werden und ihre brennende Leidenschaft kalt wird. Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie dich ansieht und nichts spürt. Du hast ihr beigebracht, wie man aufhört, dich zu lieben. 

Wundere dich nicht, wenn sie geht, denn du hast ihr nie einen Grund gegeben, zu bleiben!
