The US government funds plenty of dumb and/or evil bullshit, but one of my (least) favorite examples has to be the Office of Cuba Broadcasting. Its sole purpose is to run a propaganda media network in Miami targeted at Cuban citizens. A 2019 report by the US government itself labelled their news programming "bad journalism" and "ineffective propaganda."
But not only is it unethical, it's also 100% pointless. The Cuban government has always just jammed their signals, so no one in Cuba can actually even listen to their programs. It effectively just serves as a right-wing talk radio program for Cuban-Americans in Florida, even though US government propaganda directed at US audiences has been illegal since 1948. Congress actually had to create an explicit carve-out for the program, allowing US government propaganda meant for foreign audiences to be served to US audiences so long as it is "inadvertent."
The program's obvious failures have led to a lot of cuts in recent years, and its budget is now less than half of what it was a few years ago. But the US government still spends $13 million a year on a media network where they rant about how George Soros is a "multimillionaire Jew" who personally caused the 2008 financial crisis. Cut their funding by 100% IMO.

“ Floating Predator “ // © Paul Nicklen
“ Like many of our planet’s top predators, crocodiles are often cast as villains in media headlines and popcorn movies, creating a reputation they just don’t deserve. They have served a vital function in maintaining the balance of aquatic ecosystems across the world for millions of years. Sadly, their populations have been steadily pushed out of their home habitats by rampant development projects and poaching. Recent efforts to protect American crocodiles like this one have helped their numbers recover, but they still remain vulnerable as threats to their environments continue to grow. In Cuba’s Gardens of the Queen, however, crocodiles can enjoy the area’s strict protections along with an incredible diversity of healthy wildlife.”

Cuba is genuinely such an inspiring and beautiful country. It's not just that its people passed a referendum to legalize gay marriage and adoption, but that it came after a year of consultation and modifications by Cuban citizens and activists which made it go way beyond just gay marriage to being one of the most progressive family laws in the world, and was itself enabled by Cuba's 2019 constitutional referendum which was also voted on by its citizens. Cuba is in lockstep with its people and that is why its revolution persists even after 60+ years of sanctions, invasions, and destabilizations by the US empire.
"You can put a man on the Moon but you'll never put an imperialist in Havana." - Fidel Castro

Newest video of a lady weighing chicken at #walmart and it's labeled (& priced) far heavier than what it actually weighs. Found out they were SUED & LOST for that same thing before. If the fine is significantly less than the money they stole, they will do it again! DUH!

30th year in a row that the world votes at the UN to condemn the cruel blockade against Cuba. No other resolution at the UN has this level of consensus
It’s also the 30th year that the US ignores world public opinion. The US govt in fact keeps enforcing & tightening the blockade
