With the cost of living through the roof in California, (I’m talking about $2000 for a one bedroom, not including utilities), my husband and I had to make a few sacrifices so we could ensure we were still able to save for our house and for other things. Now being parents, we knew our son needed his own space so I turned our walk in closet into his bedroom. Idk why but I’m so thrilled with the outcome so far. There’s still some work needed to be done, like glow in the dark stickers on the ceiling, but other than that, I’m so proud of myself hahaa

I think if they didn’t have adoption at such a high cost and instead do thorough investigations on applying potential parents, more P.O.C would be willing and able to adopt. There honestly shouldn’t be such a high price on saving a child’s life , especially if it’s to the right people.
