Since @taylorswift just shared her quarantine project, I wanted to share mine. Introducing my new business!
I’m Lindsay, and I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy currently practicing in Tampa, Florida. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise & Sports Science from the University of Georgia and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Mercer University in Atlanta.
Since graduation from physical therapy school in 2018, outpatient orthopedics has been my calling. I love treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, and I specialize in the treatment of orthopedic conditions in performing artists. I help my clients overcome the challenges that come with all styles of dance. I firmly believe in injury prevention through screening and using evidence-based, functional recovery strategies specific to each dancer’s needs. That is why I am dedicated to providing ballet dancers with wellness programs to help improve their technique, prevent injury, and get them the roles they want.
I serve ballet dancers that are new to pointe shoes and are struggling to:
1. Get over on their box
2. Balance without the barre
3. Complete a pointe class without feeling pain, disappointment, or a sense of failure.
I teach ballet dancers how to overcome these challenges by
providing them with an 8-Week WELLNESS PROGRAM specifically designed to strengthen major muscles groups critical to success on pointe. Want to balance in pique arabesque for days? I've got you.
Why do I do this? I danced from the time I could walk to my early twenties. I know what it feels like to have instructors hurl corrections at you without providing a solution for the problem other than, “you’re just not working hard enough”. The frustration, the anger, the dejection . . . I’ve been there. That’s why I want to work with dancers today as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I want to empower dancers through knowledge about their individual bodies — I want to teach them ways to overcome those corrections they just can’t seem to fix, no matter how hard they try. I help dancers tap into their potential so that they can get the results and the roles they want.

the fact that she goes INSIDE her piano to find warmth and comfort....her gripping onto the piano in the middle of the water.....music was the one thing that was ALWAYS there for her

I’m even more obsessed with this album upon waking this morning. It is, without a doubt, a lyrical masterpiece.

Honestly, fuck big machine label group. The fact that after Taylor left we’ve gotten 37 songs, 2 albums, a folk album, a documentary, 4 videos directed or codirected by Taylor, AND SHE OWNS all of it in about ONE YEAR! They were holding her back and I’m glad she’s finally free! I’m so happy and proud of her!
