hey. hi. friendly neighborhood tumblr rp veteran/old here. just a midweek reminder if you need it that it's totally cool that your activity is INCONSISTENT. sometimes you wake up and the gods have blessed you - you're cranking out reply after reply, PARAGRAPHS of gold dripping from your fingertips, you can't fucking miss. and sometimes even writing a single sentence for a treasured mutual is TOO MUCH and you spend your 'writing time' alternating between staring at the blinking cursor on your screen and bashing your head into your keyboard wondering where the hell your talent went.

they're both FINE. they're both NORMAL. they're both OKAY.

no one is getting a PAYCHECK here, no reasonable person expects your creativity to adhere to a schedule. sometimes you have it and sometimes you don't. and sometimes you don't even know which it is because you just wanna be YOU today, enjoying your life instead of channeling other voices for a story.

PLEASE check in with your mutuals just to let them know where you're at from time to time, but that simple communication? is all that's required for holding up your end of a writing relationship.

Yeah, of course it was happening like THIS. Of course Tony was finally admitting to being in LOVE with her after all this time while simultaneously complaining that her bratty demeanor was taking years off his already stressful life. Of course they couldn't just have a TENDER moment of sincerity but had to color it with playful banter and affectionate digs. Of course he was naming the thing that had always existed between them but blaming HER for it like she'd pushed him off a cliff and into this predicament without his consent - lamenting like he was her victim rather than the active participant they both knew him to be.

Frankly it wouldn't feel right for it to happen any other way because ... well, then it wouldn't be THEM.

"You're such a LIAR." MJ hummed, her face mirroring his own exasperation while her voice shook from the FEROCITY with which the hoard of butterflies his words had unleashed in her stomach was whirling around. "You know EXACTLY how it happened - you're a sucker for a beautiful redhead and SHIT TALKING is your love language. I'm PEFECT for you and it was only a matter of time before your pulled your head out of your stubborn ass and admitted it."

It was kind of a MIRACLE that Clark had kept his identity a secret for as long as he had because man would he be an absolutely ATROCIOUS poker player. MJ had practically been able to SEE tendrils of anxiety pulsing in the air around her boyfriend from the moment he'd swooped into the apartment, knew there was something weighing heavily on his mind. So she leaned into his affectionate touch immediately, trying to comfort him with her PROXIMITY. She pressed her back against his strong chest while she fastened her earrings into place with an easy SMILE. "As much as I LOVE it when you lay the world at my feet? You know that all I need is you to have a perfect night." MJ reminded him softly, crossing her arms and letting them rest on top of his own as she began to sway them both to music in her head.
