oh my. hi! how are you? hope you’re doing alright! basically i’ve been all about wandanat for the past few days and just rereading every possible story of them… but as i went through a bunch of posts i stumbled upon this!!

hi sweetheart! funny enough, it’s still sitting in my drafts untouched so i can’t say for sure yes or no but there’s always a possibility that i revisit it. usually i delete drafts that old but for some reason i’ve not touched that one :)

erm…you support writers aging up characters who are canonically minors? bc I’ve gotta break it to you that some of the ppl you interact with do that and support ppl who do…yet they have 18+ minors dni all over their blog…hmmm how does that work?

putting this under a cut as to not clog up dashes with discourse.

i feel that aging up characters is such a non issue. look, i have never and will never claim to be the most ethical person here and this hellsite is the last place i’d come with the intent to better myself in that department.

aging up is a common and logical storytelling device. i’m not going to sit around and complain that someone is actively trying to avoid something that i have deemed « wrong ». it’s like wanting someone to be prosecuted for a crime that they took extra steps not to commit just because they had the means/ability to commit them.

especially considering the fact that teenagers in media are being portrayed by actors in their 20s/30s. of course people in their 20s/30s are going to find them attractive, they’re literally the same age.

they’re fictional characters. no real person is being harmed because there is no real person to be harmed. and frankly, how other people choose to interact with their favorite media/characters does not concern me as long as it does me no harm.

you are under no obligation to be a gladiator with a keyboard. if you don’t like or don’t agree with something, simply do not interact with it. it’s that simple.

i’ve read it like 10 times at least…. and everytime i just melt a little bit inside-

i also love that it’s from wanda’s perspective, it makes for a really interesting read and it makes it super different from most fics that follow a similar story- that and just the dynamic between wanda and r, and nat and reader, and ahhh i love them- they my babies

i love writing from perspectives other than reader, there’s just something so fun about playing around with other characters thoughts and feelings and it leaves me a little room to make sure the reader doesn’t seem too out of character for people reading it. hopefully it’s easier to get immersed in the story when i’m not directly stating what the reader thinks and feels. :)

happy new year sweetheart! unfortunately i can not give you a definitive answer because i never really know when/if i’m going to write. my life has been absolutely hectic nonstop for the last year for reasons out of my control. but i truly do hope to get back to writing sometime in the new year! so we will see :)
