Made some fanart for my friend Bakenari! He released a new mask today for his vtuber avatar and I wanted to help celebrate! And take the opportunity to do some character art as well teehee.

started with a 128x72px canvas, then cut it to 72x72.

wanted to see what a pixel art visual novel would look like. i was toying with the idea of making one, and i think this turned out well enough so i guess i’ll do it! ;)

i started this piece by composing models in clip studio paint. then i opened the file in aseprite and drew over it. i think overall this took about five or six hours to complete.

pretty happy with the final portrait. i really didn’t have any ideas for how this character would look like except that she’s bald and mostly bird.

what is firefly island? it’s a project i’m working on that may or may not be a visual novel or a gb studio game. still very early in development!

Another piece featuring my pfp! I kinda gave up on this one so it looks a little bare bones, and not in a noir way. But this was the first piece where I learned how to use gradients, so not a total loss.
