you know, it really does make perfect sense in retrospect why ludinus was not only okay with trent's volstrucker program, but also admitted to finding it useful for his own means. when imogen asked liliana how ruidusborn are awakened (exalted, presumably, for the purpose of being a potential vessel for predathos), liliana responded, "through turmoil. and training."

that's....not very different at all from how trent created the volstrucker. the only real difference is that ludinus' exalted ruidusborn are for an even worse, potentially world-ending purpose

Actually useful things for beginner witches

You're going to need to learn to meditate. Yes I know it sucks. It works differently for everyone so keep banging your head against that brick wall until you get through.

Don't go on etsy for at least 1 year of steady practice. Those crystals are overpriced and most likely mined with slave labor.

You do not need to buy anything. All my spells are done with a pencil paper, some things I found in the cupboard, a cool rock I found, and whatever candle I grabbed first.

You don't need to cleanse anything unless it actively feels bad.

'Love and Light' is bullshit. It's unhealthy to repress your negative feelings that much.

If someone says they have exclusive knowledge they are trying to scam you.

The most environmentally friendly object is the one you already have.

Go outside. Touch grass.
