didn't know she was
distracting him? every
other word out of
pontmercy's mouth was
about this girl, and she
didn't know she was
distracting him? how??
"gather more people to come and help."
that would be the best
thing for cosette to do
right now, after all it's
not like she would be
much help anyway.
would she be? probably
not, and then especially
if pontmercy was
around... nothing would
ever get done.
a glare lasts only a brief second before
fading into a sweet — yet feigned —
smile. her look may be a guise, but her
words ring true.
" forgive me, distracting him
was never my intention. as for
the revolution, i would love to.
give me something to do & i
shall do it, monsieur. ”
she doesn’t say it, but something with
action would be preferable. is now the
right time to tell him she knows how to
work a gun better than most men??

"suicide mission?"
enjolras looks at the girl,
thankful that she was finally
helping him out with
building the all important
barricade, one thing that
was going to help him live
and survive this, this– not
suicide mission. what was
she even talking about?
“i wouldn’t be in your way if you
weren’t on a suicide mission in
the center of the streets.”
she huffs at him, but lifts the chair
effortlessly anyways. let them all die
for this blasted cause. she’ll just play
dead in the wreckage and then sneak
away. mother won’t be pleased with
her, though.

“i’m sure you can grab it yourself,

The protest was next Wednesday.
Next Wednesday. Other than the
Amis, Enjolras had recruited a total
of zero people to attend– what kind
of a leader was he being? A terrible
one even though the terribleness
could be blamed on the fact he had
a terrible cold and could barely
leave his room, but still.
He could do this. He could do this he could do this he could—
"You there!" he cried, spotting
a girl walking down the street.
"Take this flier!" Enjolras shoved
the paper at her. "We'll see
you on Wednesday, yes?"
