Since I’ve seen several people now suggesting/imply that Reylo is incestuous, I think those people need a reminder of what incest is. Incest is a sexual/romantic relationship between people who are closely related by blood. Rey and Ben are not related by blood. It doesn’t matter that she changed her last name to Skywalker. A last name doesn’t change genetics. Rey and Ben are not blood relatives, so Reylo is not incestuous. End of story.

Reylo fic recommendation

I’ve been getting back into fanfic reading lately, and I’m far along enough in a fic by an author I like to recommend “Epilogue” by BlueEnvelopes965 as a good TROS “fix it” read. I’m really enjoying it.

It is a completed 51 chapter fic that features Rey, Ben Solo, Darth Plageuis and assorted minor characters following the events of TROS. 

It’s funny and intriguing, and I keep putting work aside to come back and read it! I suspect it will be the ending we DESERVE and didn’t get!

SHORT ANSWER: NO!

It has been reported before that fandon menace is probably the one who disguised himself as reylo beads to attack whoever was against the ship to tarnish the image of fandon reylo. Not that you don’t think reylos are toxic and ignorant, every fandon has its rotten part. But to say that reylos in general has Nazi behavior is just an excuse from Puritan militants who think they are morally superior for “not romanticizing the abusive relationship of kylo ren and Rey” and see kylo only as a Nazi, not a victim, because he is a man, white and straight. FASCISTS create in their minds a standard of purity and morality, then persecute those who do not agree with them, judge as enemies those they consider immoral. And to satisfy the urge to feel morally superior, like an inquisitor in the crusades, anything goes, even rationalizing fiction, problematizing patterns that are part of any narrative. Conflict is necessary, nuances are necessary so that we don’t make shallow and weak stories where shallow characters in their roles of heroes and villains just fight without challenges. You are not morally superior for finding reylo abusive, or silky “bi phobic”.

The point is that it’s not because we like problematic stories that we want to live in them. The fun of the stories is to see nuances other than the conflict and thus be able to explore dark aspects of the human mind in a harmless way. And no, simply ignoring the conflicting nuances that make stories interesting doesn’t make you morally superior.

TReylos doesn’t sympathize with “the fascist kylo ren”, but with the victim Ben Solo who is trapped inside him. And this Puritan culture does not stop the stories will be killed: Ships are the target today, and tomorrow? Wars? Well… then get ready for the cancellation of Starwars, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones after all it is not morally acceptable for you to find it fun to see stories where people kill each other in the name of petty goals, this is offensive to the victims of war right?
