âAnd if I had not met my mate..." His words failed him as silver lined his eyes.
He said down the bond, âI would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have... The wait was worth it.â
He wiped away the tears sliding down my face. "I believe that everything happened, exactly the way it had to... so I could find you." He kissed another tear away.â
âIt wouldnât matter to Cassian, though, if Rhysâs son inherited his world-shaking power, or barely a drop. It wouldnât matter to Rhys, either. To any of them. That boy was already loved.
"I panted, sprawled on top of Rhys in the snow while he laughed hoarsely. âDonât,â I snarled into his face, âever,â I pushed his rock-hard shoulders, talons curving at my fingertips, âuse me as bait
again.â
He stopped laughing.
I pushed harder, those nails digging in through his leather. âYou said I could be a weaponâteach me to become one. Donât use me like a pawn. And if being one is part of my work for you, then Iâm
done. Done.â Despite the snow, his body was warm beneath me, and I wasnât sure Iâd realized just how much
bigger he was until our bodies were flushâtoo close. Much, much too close.
Rhys cocked his head, loosening a chunk of snow clinging to his hair. âFair enough.â
âAmren and Mor told me that the span of an Illyrian maleâs wings says a lot about the size of⌠other parts.â His eyes shot to mine, then to pine-tree-coated slopes below. âDid they now.â I shrugged in his arms, trying not to think about the naked body that night all those weeks agoâthough I hadnât glimpsed much. âThey also said Azrielâs wings are the biggest.â Mischief danced in those violet eyes, washing away the cold distance, the strain. The spymaster
was a black blur against the pale blue sky. âWhen we return home, letâs get out the measuring stick, shall we?â
i still need to finish that picture of Nesta on her own, but i decided to do a request given to me by @highfaenesta on my last update. Guess who? I was originally going to draw a scene from the book but none of the poses were working for me so i ended up with this. Hope you enjoy!
(VOTE IN THE INSTA COMMENTS) The winner from HoF pgs 201-400 was #4! âHis breath caught, harsh enough that she looked over her shoulder. But his eyes werenât on her face. Or the water. They were on her bare back.â I really wanted to convey the scene without showing her scars, and instead through the emotion on their faces.
⤠Now go read the next top 3 below the cut & vote on which one you want me to draw!
My interpretation of Feyre Under the Mountain! I know the white translucent cloth wasnt meant to be sparklyâŚbut lets just call it foreshadowing for her starfall dress okay
