Because it's been rolling around in my head for a while thanks to the Indigo Disk DLC release...
Bells Hells Pokémon Teams!
These are all vibe based, limited to the six Pokémon teams, and everyone gets at least one Legendary and Shiny. Some will be evolutionary lines because I could see them coming into the campaign unevolved.
Chetney
Stoutland- received as a Lillipup when Chet was a kid, this majestic old dog is his oldest companion. I think Stoutland speaks nicely to Chetney having a pretty normal life before he became a werewolf. Aslo, Chet can ride his Stoutland around, which is fun
Phantump- met as Chet trained in the Bramblewood, this spirit of a child in a tree stump/wood fell in love with Chetney's toy carving. Chet loves the joy this Pokémon feels with every project
Snover/Abamasnow- this tree Pokémon was caught during the Icelost years that Chet was present for in Tal'Dorei
Banette- Chetney is worried about his toycraft becoming obsolete, and this Pokémon is an abandoned toy. Also Chet talked about letting his grudges stew before werewolfdom
Lycanroc (Midnight Form, Shiny)- it's a Pokémon with something like the classical wolfman-werewolf shape, so werewolf vibes, baby! Caught after Chet got lycanthropy, shiny because it matches Chet's original color scheme
Zacian- look, it's a wolf that's set to shank a bitch. Tell me that doesn't vibe with Chetney
Orym
Sirfetch'd- Flying-type with a sword and shield, obviously meant for Mr Sword and Shield of the Air Ashari
Honedge/Doublade/Aegislash- Orym's memento of his husband that always travels with him is Will's sword, so the ghost sword(and later sword/shield combo) makes sense for Oym
Comfey- friendly cute flowers for Mr Druidcraft gifts
Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot- the normal-est bird for the normal-est guy. Yet capable and more striking the further down the line they get
Appletun (Shiny)- got it in Byroden as a reminder to enjoy life and pie. Also, little guy solidarity. Shiny because green apple for Orym who wears green
Shaymin- more friendly flowers for Orym, and the Sky Form is a little fighter like him
Fearne
Darumaka- Fearne needs a fire monkey to mirror Little Mister and this is the round fire monkey shaped like the Little Mister plush
Braixen/Delphox- fire Pokémon with a bit of a witch aesthetic for the fire girl of the Witchy Bitches
Impidimp- a Fairy-type with a mischievous streak for our mischievous fey
Skiddo/Gogoat- for the goat-ness of being a faun and a little druidic Grass-type
Gloom/Vileplume (Shiny)- for Fearne's love of poisonous flowers. And shiny because it's green and orange, which are Fearne's colors
Moltres- a burning phoenix Pokémon that Fearne worries will take on the Galarian Form that her Bad Future Self had
Imogen
Mudsdale- workhorse for the farmgirl who loves horses
Ponyta (Galarian)- cute unicorn pony with Psychic typing (not Galarian Rapidash because I think it's ugly)
Blitzle/Zebstrika (Shiny)- the Electric-type "horse" (zebras are close, okay?) Pokémon for our storming electrical Horse Girl. And shiny because Zebstrika is purple when shiny
Hattrem/Hatterene- Imogen's witch Pokémon. It's Psychic-type and sensitive to emotions, making it sort of like her mindreading
Elgyem/Beheeyem- Psychic-type and kind of alien-ish and said to mess with people's heads, this Pokémon showed up to Imogen after her Exaltant powers awakened
Spectrier- Legendary horse that comes in Imogen's two colors: purple and red
Laudna
Rattata (Alolan)- to mirror Pâté. Potentially shiny as the deep red and black are Laudna's colors
Mimikyu (Shiny)- a broken doll-like Pokémon for a person who feels like a broken doll. And shiny makes it a pale black and white like Laudna
Mismagius- Laudna's witch Pokémon, and ghostly of course (Also collar gems like Delilah?)
Leavanny- a bit of a crafter Pokémon and protective of kids
Meowth (Galarian)- the Alolan Meowth and Kantonian Persian are the kind of Pokémon I could see noble ladies having, so Laudna decided to catch her own Meowth... and ended up with a scrungly Galarian one. But she loves them anyways
Marshadow- it's shadow theme matches Laudna's Shadow Sorcerery. And Laudna does spend time trying to copy the Ladies of Whitestone...
FCG
Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss- Pokémon that are about bestowing happiness, because that's all FCG wants for their friends. Possibly not enthused by Togekiss being so bird-like, while Togetic is definitely on the edge of comfortable
Happiny/Chansey/Blissey- classic Pokémon Center helper and healers line for the cleric
Porygon/Porygon 2/Porygon-Z- artificial Pokémon for the artificially made person. The bird-ish shape might weird FCG out a bit
Fidough/Dachsbund- obtained after they got their oven installed, this Pokémon helps FCG with his baking endeavors
Iron Thorns- secret Aeorian rage-mode Pokémon since Future Paradox Pokémon look like robots and Tyranitar, which Iron Thorns is based off of, is known for raging around (also reflects Ashton having a Tyranitar a bit)
Magearna- a man-made clockwork Legendary for the Aeormaton
Ashton
Golett/Golurk (Shiny)- a rock person Pokémon for an actual rock person. And they're also powered by mysterious energies. Probably Ashton's original Pokémon. Shiny for green glow lines
Tyranitar- acquired as a Larvitar in Bassuras and a point of pride to have fully evolved given the reputation of such a Pokémon in that city
Tinkaton- also caught in Bassuras as a Tinkatink. It's a Pokémon with a big hammer and the evolutionary line would probably be semi-common in the scrap heaps of Bassuras (Also the Corviknight hunting as a get rid of birds that FCG fears/hates)
Growlithe/Arcanine(Hisuian)- for Ashton's strong loyalties. Possibly acquired after attempting to absorb the Spark of Rau'shan for the Fire/Rock typing, or just had since a kid from Hishari
Cosmog- suddenly appeared after Ashton got galaxy-brained because it's a little galaxy guy from another (higher?) dimension. It's Ashton's innocent baby who doesn't know how to stay in the damn pokéball and not reveal his soft side
Regigigas- this is the big titan Pokémon, hauling continents and shit. Not to mention that the Slow Start ability reflects how Ashton had a titan shard for twenty years before they really got it to do anything spectacular

the fact that orym, chetney, and imogen primarily guided the communication exercise gives so much insight into the leadership structure of bell’s hells. even the ways that each of them did it—orym giving rapid fire instruction and adjusting the direction based on response. chetney sticking to one mode (clock system) and being direct and methodical. imogen holding pace with thought and encouraging with every step—keeping emotions calm. granted that’s also the players’ communication styles coming through, but still.
at this point, i would say that they form the base that bell’s hells revolves around. orym as the lookout, as the one on alert both in and out of the party. chetney observing and learning about the environment physically and personally. and imogen guiding decisions by calming emotions.

FUCKING. SHIT. Yu. And Bor’dor. Disguised as awkward people needing help, playing on this group’s protective instincts.
“‘And Orym,’ I just morph into the hottest half-elf man you’ve ever seen. ‘Offer’s still open.’”
“Hard pass.”
“What race is he again?”
“I’m a half-elf.”
“And he’s around my age… ‘I’m up here if you’re able to make the climb.’”

I think Orym’s new sword is a Vestige.
Obviously not a relic of the Calamity. But the Vestiges of Divergence were weapons and items blessed by the gods of Exandria and used by there chosen heroes during the Calamity.
The Calamity was started when archmages, using a heighten form of magic only available during an Apogee Solstice, accidentally set the Betrayer Gods free.
In C3, there is another Apogee Solstice approaching and there are powerful magic wielders who are up to no good. It makes sense that the Prime Deities would be search for new heroes and giving them powerful magic weapons the aid in the fight of Calamity 2.0.
Add to this the fact that Matt specifically asked Liam to name the weapon, and it makes sense that Seritanni gave Orym more than just a common magic weapon.
Can’t wait to see what the sword does and what it’s name is.

Thinking about how Orym doesn’t understand why Serataani/Melora would grant him such a gift. And how Liam said in 4SD, Orym felt so terrible about Laudna’s death because—and I quote—“the important people died and he’s still here”
Which heavily implies that Orym thinks of himself as background person in life. The way this has extended beyond his old life as a guard and now seems like oh no Orym literally does not see himself as “important” and thus things like getting a magical boon or being chosen to come back to life aren’t things are supposed to happen to someone like him.
He believes himself to be the side character, the support, beyond the metanarrative of it all as Orym is designed to be a support, he genuinely believes that he’s not on the same level of importance or worth as everyone else.
So when Melora blesses him with this boon, he’s grateful but so confused on why. Why him? He’s not like his friends. They are the ones who clearly are special.
And yet he’s so wrong. He’s practically one of the most important of Bell’s Hells. He’s the glue of this group. Fearne does not steal for the first time in that scene. And instead thanks Melora. She was watching what happened. And while she could have been thanking Melora about Chet, I think she was also thanking Melora for this gift she gave to Orym. Because Fearne recognizes how special he is and she is happy that this goddess does too.
Orym is the first to break through to Chet in the fight. He’s always there for Imogen and is rooting for her. He treats Laudna like a person and showed deep empathy for her sorrows. He got Ashton to open up and is respectful of their boundaries. He is always checking up on FCG and if their stress is getting to be too much.
Orym is important. Not because of any magical powers or destiny, but because he is kind. Orym is special because he wakes up every day and chooses to be kind, to be gentle, to care. That is equally as important to everything else.
And it’s not about having magic or powers. Orym’s not insecure. His problem is that his survivor’s guilt has warped his naturally protective nature into a “I will fall so others never will.” mindset, it has turned his inherent selflessness into a dangerous lack of self worth. It has convinced him he is not important.
But he is. Kindness is important. And one day Orym will hopefully see that Melora chose him because he is kind. Because he chooses to go on.

the end of episode 41 was really just: hahaha chetney’s fine now and everyone’s glad and also wouldn’t it be funny if he was naked and now we’re all going to get naked and run through the woods ahahah we’re so silly and goofy and orym smells the scent of his long-dead husband for the first time in years and gets a magic sword upgrade from a goddess for a reason no one is quite sure of and fearne shows generosity for the first time and leaves money behind instead of stealing something and haha they’re naked again and now everyone is streaking together okay good night everyone!

A little funny how I started this art before Devon’s answer in the official Q&A about how Aaravos felt more emotional than physical pain after he was imprisoned.

What are the chances Rayla is still having nightmares about losing Callum, even after two years? And what are the chances that she’s having nightmares about Callum asking her to off him if he gets possessed again?
I (personally) wonder if her “we can’t save everyone” might have more to do with Callum than anything else? After all, her entire line is “we can’t save everyone, Soren; there’s too much at stake.” The context is Aaravos coming back, possessing Callum, potential end of the world. Maybe Rayla sees saving one drake as getting in the way of saving Callum. Because it’s an “end of the world” situation, she might not see herself as being able to “afford” the “idealistic risks” her 15-year-old self could take. (This is speculation, and I’m not here to change minds; I’m just tossing around ideas/this is just the vibe I’m getting. I mean no disrespect to anyone by going against the flow with my speculation. It’s just a story; I’m just here to have fun :)).
Maybe that line is a result, not of a specific event from the two years away, but her fears, insecurities, and feeling that she failed Callum by not finding Viren or Claudia— and because “she failed” finding them, Callum is in danger again. “We can’t save everyone” could (potentially) translate (in Rayla’s mind) “I have to face the reality that I may not be able to save Callum” (even though she will do everything to try saving him).
She came back after two years of failure; nothing to show for hurting Callum/leaving him; to be slapped in the face with “and my favourite: the human mage already tainted by darkness and destined to play right into my hands” (the quote might be a tad off; i don’t remember if it’s “darkness/dark magic”); and to make it even worse Callum’s “I need you to kill me”.
Considering Rayla had nightmares immediately following S3, before Callum was personally threatened in S4, I can’t see her being nightmare free post S4. I’d love to see her struggling with nightmares post S4, even just hints of it (I say hope without expectation or entitlement. Writers gotta write what they feel best drives the story). It might not show up in the following seasons, since the writers have to show what’s most important to the plot (the nightmares Rayla had in TTM might not be important enough to bring to the show, although it’s pretty close to being really important, especially given the growth they’ve hinted Rayla is heading for).
Even if it doesn’t show up in the show, my headcanon is that she’s having intense nightmares about this stuff.

It had been a few days, but every time he closed his eyes, it felt as if time rewound to shunt him back into that very moment.
That moment of darkness. Helplessness, as he could only hear echoes of words he himself would never really say, in a voice that didn’t belong to him, with mannerisms that was far from what he would ever show.
And after they escaped from Umber Tor—it had only gotten worse.

Was thinking about the whole “the sunfire Light can purify dark magic” thing (not only does it make sense for Aaravos to want to corrupt it if it can limit his control over people) and like maybe it won’t come back, or not in this way, but… It could’ve been any kind of ceremony / test. It didn’t have to be something that tests for dark magic; it didn’t have to be something that can remove dark magic. While the sun primal is gone and the staff corrupted, that doesn’t mean a new one isn’t being made and Callum couldn’t try it out. Might be part of what gets the kids to the Sunfire elves / their aunts in S5 or beyond?

My humble take on Callum’s promise…fair warning, it gets a bit violent.
