daily reminder that boycotting is not a moral stance but a political strategy, so the whole “there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” argument is not the gotcha you think it is
you can refer to BDS if you’d like a list of companies to focus your efforts on. you can refer to this website if you’d like to become more conscientious about what you’re buying and check for brands/products to avoid.
*please note that i am a palestinian who has been boycotting my entire life. do not try to explain to me in the tags or reblogs or replies what a targeted boycott is or complain about giving up your comfort for something that you (incorrectly) believe does not make an impact. being quiet is free. exercise your right to remain silent today.

sorry to say this but not every act of protest is meant to be palatable. actually scratch that, to protest is to disrupt, it's to inconvenience, it's to make you unable to ignore the protesters message, it's priority should never be its palability.

Don't forget it's still free Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Yemen, West Papua, Tigray, Haiti, Burma/Myanmar, Uyghurs, Syria, Kashmir, Cameroon, Armenia and Kurdistan.
Regardless of who you are or where you come from, if you do not feel outrage, anguish, and grief for these innocent lives lost, something is amiss, and you must consider why you lack the drive to take action.
Their fight should be considered our fight, as it is one for human rights.

The scenes coming out of Rafah are nothing short of horrific.
This is Israel relishing in its impunity. Israel knows that no matter the level of atrocities it commits, it will never be challenged or held accountable by those in power.
Your role still matters though. Keep advocating for Palestine, amplify Palestinian voices, find a protest near you - whatever you do, make your stance known.

what does a free palestine look like?
it looks like palestinians living freely in their homeland without fear of their homes being stolen, their children being kidnapped, their houses being bombed, their borders blockaded, their passports limited, their relatives unable to return to their own land, their produce and taxes and roads being controlled by a racist settler-colonialist entity, their livelihood and existence threatened by a genocidal occupation. it looks like full citizenship of their nation and freedom of movement and choice on their land. u know the basic human rights everyone in the world who is not under occupation has?

400,000+ in Washington, DC for Palestine yesterday (January 13, 2024). One of the largest Pro-Palestine rallies in US history.
Long live the resistance!
