Some Muu-sings [Accepting]
"Books! I love books. Such handy mortal inventions that keep all kinds of things inside of them! Not even just pages!"
There was thus summoned a massive, unending pile of books from behind Muu to emphasize the point.
"Anyone can learn from books or pass information through books, or gifts, ideas, snacks, the like! Mortals have invented these audio variety but hmm... not quite the same as flipping old parchments stained with perfume and the black drops of ink from a scratchy quill. I guess that makes me old school!
"Humans don't have the bajillion appendages I can make so of course they had to make a way to make many books very quickly. Maaaaybe I had a lil bit of a nudge there but I can't say!
"Some of my favourite books are the old outdated atlas books, old science text books from mortal schools, and of course romance novels. Can't satiate my hunger for those! The ideas that humans used to believe were correct bring me a laugh. Some of the arcane theory attempts from other mortals? Hilarious! It's also endearing to see how close they get. Like, go mortal realm go! You can do it! It's helped me with streamlining my guide making process. If a silly mortal can figure out my tomes, then boom! I've done a great job. There is always something to learn from a good book!"

"There are SO MANY KINDS that mortals try and categorize but then they keep inventing more! It's fantastic how that impossible task just generates more and more! It's not too much of a thing around the void but y'know. Forbidden knowledge is my area of mastery so of course it got into my tentacles eventually!
"It's magnificent, even if it started out as just a little fictional idea. It became reality eventually! Yes mortals were all business and possessions and power focused -wow that kinda sounds familiar, huh weird- but now they can bond for love and love alone!
"Of course when it got to 'forbidden romance' that's where I really started getting my scholarly habits to work. You stick forbidden in front of anything and woosh! I instantly know about it and can research it! I'm no slouch in my domain after all. I had to spread it to the rest of the family but, of course that was a huge taboo so I had to be careful.
"I added a new section to my endless library on the subject alone. It's my pride and joy of secret tomes. Nothing has brought me more joy in the last few eons!"

Stuff About Muu until I Get Canon Content
Muu loves romance and has dedicated themselves to conducting studies to help expand knowledge on the subject. Muu is also very dedicated to ensuring the family happiness, even if it means disregarding all the damn rules.
Isn’t sure of their gender or alternative, euclidean form of which to not drive the masses insane. So their grand idea was to just wear a blanket over themselves. Work first, self discovery later! Also blankets are cozy and easy to buy online.
Muu tends to be shy and skiddish around new people, or persons they have had little contact with. The family and D are exceptions. They usually show a bit more outgoing attitude when speaking about their passions or around their favourite family members. They don’t tend to hide their feelings.
As a shoggoth of forbidden knowledge, Muu has likely bent more than a few rules. They dabble with mortals and have several different online accounts of which to obtain or hand out artifacts or their tomes with. D happened to be the first successful attempt.
They don’t remember if they wrote the Necromonicon or not. It’s possible, but they do at least remember making it look pretty. They aren’t sure where said book ended up though.
Muu is typically the smallest of the family by choice. Still a giant orb of unfathomable shapes, organs and appendages, but the blanket makes them look cuter!
Emotive to a near fault. Muu tends to have a bit of a... composure problem when it comes to talking about their passions. They make quick friendships with anyone who shares in them.
Being incredibly intelligent has given Muu some insights and perks that keep them at a decent standing in terms of power, though may be the least powerful of the family. They don’t mind though!
Everyone’s well being is put above Muu, which is why they were willing to risk the wrath of Nyanlarthotep for Estir and Ln’Eta. Even during that particular reality, they didn’t plan on banishing Auntie, only putting her in a temporary time out due to panic and fear that an angry Nyan invokes when she’s upset.

“My power does not serve to permit transgressions made against me, Muu.” She spat, already knowing full-well she could break any spell the shoggoth could put together and that she could end them easily.
And yet, she didn’t. She allowed them to continue their work, and allowed them to continue speaking, in spite of everything.
False-feline ears, of the feminine shell Muu had helped create theirself, perk listening to the other ramble in their clarifications and justifications; clawed fingers tapping rhythmically upon her arms. Not snapping or interrupting, as much as her spiking fur might’ve suggested the tension required to do so.
No, no she waited for her to finished, and waited in silence a time after that… her impatient tapping nearly to outright clawing.
Before, she her silence broke.
“If only to ensure you never bother me with such again, fine. You may make the book, and we’ll see the nonsense fruit that it bears.”
While she certainly made a good show of looking angry and annoyed, the towering goddess’ voice betrayed a different kind of tension than that. An unbecoming nervousness. A worry. A fear, even.
“That’s fair, I understand you do...”
Wait.
Wait Nyan said ‘yes’.
Well she didn’t actually say yes but she agreed to the publishing. That was confirmation enough and they didn’t think they would get this far. Muu’s many eyes lit up aglow under the blanket and a heart shaped image in each of the pupils. The tentacles wriggled with sheer delight as the softest of ‘eee’ing sounds could be heard.
Muu was holding back for Nyan’s sake.
“Ymg' vulgtmah ymg' vulgtmah ymg' vulgtmah!” That was as close as a thank you in r’lyehian as one could get, though it sounded like excited gibberish, even by elder god standards.
Colourless parchment and tomes of different styles came from the uncountable tentacles from under the cloth, as if Muu was always prepared for such an occasion. “Outside of checking in on progress, if this doesn’t work out after a few tries, I shall not bother you with this ever again! I swear my book collection on it. Shoggoth’s honour.”
Now came the tricky part. If Muu wasn’t so excited they may have picked up on that slight change in Auntie’s voice, but nope. Excited shoggoth was excited.
“So I normally do these alone but... since this is a special occasion, you can tell me what to include and what to omit from the tome! For the final printing of course. Estir was involved in her process but Ln’Eta’s was a surprise gift. It’s only appropriate that you get first say on yours.”

“I’m aware. I wished to make the knowledge fresh in your mind.” She hissed, glaring down at them. “And don’t think I’ve forgotten that you attempted to have me banished instead.”
Venom in her voice aside, she can’t help but tilt her head at the shoggoth’s sudden boldness to be speaking up at her so directly. What had gotten into them, she wondered? Too many entertaining their thoughts of romantic love, she supposes… in any other circumstance, it’d be a welcome change, but… tch.
A tired rumbling groan escapes the void at what they said next, crossing her arms over chest. “Yes, yes, I’m sure they are, and that is why I’m no longer taking action over it. That doesn’t mean I have to approve of their doomed flights of fancy.”
Claws grip and lightly dig into her arms, thinking about it; the fleeting impermanence of that happiness, to know the pain of something you adore so much wither away. All that is mortal and material will disappear in time, and even with the Dog persisting through dreams, that surely couldn’t last forever either. The joy in that short time will pale next to the weight of the loss that will hang over them for rest of their existence…
Memories stirred in her writhing mass, of faces she could scarce remember anymore, reduced to vague feminine forms calling desperately out to her… only broken by Muu’s next words.
Thoughtful eye slowly narrowing into a squint.
“You… wish to make me a book.
Why? Some vain hope that another mortal might banish me with it?”
Oh, a tiny speck of curiosity? This was Muu’s chance!
“Auntie, you’re much more powerful than me! Even if I did write a tome to banish you,” which you kind of did Muu, “You’d have been able to break out within no time! I’m just a lil shoggoth of forbidden knowledge! Besides, you banishing me is very scary! You’re too strong! I was very scared for myself writing that. It wasn’t personal, I promise!”
It wasn’t an innaccurate statement. Auntie Nyan-Nyan could absolutely obliterate them given the right motivation.
As for the tome in question, Muu shook their... head, face? Whatever it was, they shook themselves in denial at Nyan’s question. The look of skepticism was warranted, but Muu didn’t take offense. It was only natural after the tense situation, and Muu was hoping to rectify that.
“No no! No more banishing! An RSG!” That of course meant Romance Survival Guide. “I have notes and tomes for everyone! That way I can maximize the spread of happiness. The glum mood was getting very stale, and you’re the only one who hasn’t confirmed you’d want it published!”
Writing the tome was something Muu did regardless. Forbidden knowledge was their life blood. Romantic forbidden knowledge was their passion. Getting it out to the ‘public’ was another story. Normally the others asked Muu to write something for them, but sometimes Muu felt bored. That’s where this whole fiasco started.
The tentacles wrapped around themselves a little nervously. “So... yeah? Make you a book proper? Have you find some happiness... No tricks, no banishing, no mean stuff. So long as you don’t think of banishing me again... and to say sorry for being scared and mean cuz of being scared before. I don’t want you gone, Nyan-Nyan, I just wanna see you happy.”

D wasn’t exactly sure who this was at first, but they seemed excited to see him and seemed to be well rather other worldly themself, so he was sure they’d be cool, so he’d happily return their wave.
Then they said they’re name.
“You’re Muu?? Oh my girlf- goddes- deity-ties, it’s really nice to finally met you- And of course I didn’t! You’ve helped me out more then I could ever repay you for, so of course I’d do the bare minimum and stop you from being banished.” D earnestly looked very happy.
“Really I should be thanking you, if you given me Ln’eta’s guide…” D was quiet for a moment, trying to find the right words for what he felt, the right words… There weren’t really any, were there? “Well… I probably would’ve wasted the rest of my life chasing shadows… So thank you, I owe a lot to you.”
“That’s me! That Muu!” They imitated Ln’Eta gleefully.
There was a giggle as tentacles writhed around each other. The excitement was literally brimming under the blanket. It was so enthralling to have a friend to talk to! A book enthusiast and someone who successfully followed the instructions!
“You helped me from being banished! I’d say we’re pretty even there friend! Oh that’s exciting to say-” More burbling giggles. “I remember how confused you looked at first when the tome arrived! Oh right sorry, I always sneak a peek for the reactions. I can’t help it, I’m always soooo curious to see how my handiwork is received!”
Thank the higher powers for alternative realities in which Muu could appear. Weird places these spaces were! Muu was just a floating orb shaped something under a blanket, a few stray tentacles writhing around with the one main eye peeking out. At least D didn’t have to look up at them like the others! Muu was by comparison, very small.
“So how have you been? You know being your new self and all? Things been going gooood?”

There was a whine from under the cloth. “I can see all the realities too y’know...”
They seemed a little more confident today despite being normally intimidated by Auntie Nyan-Nan. Of course they were a shoggoth and forbidden knowledge was literally their calling so eventually they would have been unbanished or broke out, right? Who writes their own banishment book without a fail safe?
“But Ln’Eta and Estir are so happy here! You don’t want to deny them that, do you?” There was something else on Muu’s mind that they just couldn’t place. Something else that was bothering them.
Oh!
Tentacles wriggled under the blanket spiritedly. “Did you want your own book too? I made one for everyone else so far, so it’s only the right thing to offer to the Great Crawling Chaos.”
“The only version of reality in which the Dog gets a treat from me is the one where he aids in a certain someone’s banishment.
So I suggest thinking before you speak.”
