Online vs Offline writing

Online writing can be published or unpublished work on the internet. Since anyone can post online it becomes difficult for the reader to be confident whether the content is of good quality.

Online writing is naturally more informal because it is the authors own responsibility to review and edit their content. In addition, it is the authors responsibility to not compromise their work and follow the publishing process. But online writing is available at any time and easy to find.

Online writhing can be more engaging because the author can add multimedia elements. Quality content includes links to there sources or other relevant resources, making it easier for the reader to find more information. The reader can quickly scan the content to find relevant or important information they’re looking for. Offline writing has its own set of pros and cons. Physical books and articles can be archived for longer because physical copies exist. On the downside this copies can be destroyed. At the end of the day books are seen as outdated and boring.
