Around the Sims 4 | Bunk beds

I was a bit excited when I got this request from a Patreon: “ will you update your bunk bed for the new bunk beds coming with the patch?”. Yes! Bunk beds!!! Tiny houses, kid bedrooms, all my favorites!!!

And then, what a disappointement to see EA made their bunk beds useless… Thankfully, Lotharihoe enabled the slots EA had made to put furniture under the beds (otherwise, what is the point, seriously?!). I recommand you to download the mod if you haven’t already!

I remade all my mattresses as “top bunk bed”. You can eventually get rid of the “top/loft” single mattresses made for my pre-patch bunk beds. You can also put one-tile object (desk, dresser…), if you don’t put them on the ladder side.

I also remade all my frames to match with the ladder placement, and, for the one-ladder-only model, I made a right and left versions. The frames are made to not clip with my duvet, which is wider than the EA sheets, so put the frame first, then the mattress, so you don’t have a part of the frame disappearing in the walls. :)

It will be released on Around the Sims 4 the 30th of April. It’s available in early access for Patreons right now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE SIMS

This was a little secret I have been keeping for quite some time. I was approached about adding some of my creations to the game for a 21st birthday update. I chose about 10 of my creations from all the way back to my first furniture set, with these 3 items you see above chosen. I really proud that some of my favorite items have made it into a game that has had a substantial impact on my life. It really does give me a creative outlet and the product of that can be shared with an amazing community. 

It’s also nice to know that people that are unable to use CC (like console players or vanilla games) also benefit from a few more items to use. I hope you enjoy these Maxis supported items, but if you are interested in the items I made to accompany these, you can find them at the links below (though you fellow cc addicts probably have them already 😆)

GUIDRY’S SUMPTUOUS SEATS by amoebae

The sofa suite in the new Paranormal pack is just what we’ve been crying out for… but the swatches not so much.

Here you’ll find several recolours with a few different options, all with 48 Image Spectra swatches.

Violetta’s Loyal  Sofa: V1 = plain seats with beige-toned blankets and cushions; V2 = plain seats with grey-toned blankets and cushions; V3 = plain seats with multicoloured blankets and cushions (the gif above shows some of the different options in V3).

Frisky Loveseat: V1 = leaf pattern recolours; V2: ornate pattern recolours.

Favorite Chair: V1 = leaf pattern recolours; V2: ornate pattern recolours.

The Dearly Departed chair only comes in one plain version for now. Once some enterprising soul has removed the blankets and cushions from the sofa, and perhaps made a 2-seater version, I’ll look at recolouring the patterned versions of it and the chair to match.

The Frisky Loveseat and Favorite Chair have bigger file sizes than I would have liked, because try as I might (and I tried for hours) I could not get rid of compression artefacts when using png or dtx5 textures, and so had to save as uncompressed dds.

Country Crafter - Nifty Knitting-Inspired Buildmode Set

A brand new year, and a brand new set of buildmode items to share. Nifty Knitting was one of the more enjoyable SPs to come out in recent memory, and also a treasure trove of content ripe for expansion. I started this while working on the Buymode Addon but was set back when I decided to add more colours to the set which required me remaking all the package files and generating all the new textures. But it’s done now and I think it helps fill the void for those looking for a more classic but simple window set who don’t have the similar Quaint Cottage Set I made for Get Famous. This will work outside of the Pack and stands on it’s own as a great versatile set. I also went overboard with the number of door variations, but I don’t care LOL

Enjoy The Lentil Things Restaurant Set

The set includes all the basics for building a restaurant of any theme! The simple approach with these items allow you to easily customize any venue to whatever style you want while fulfilling game requirements for certain lots.

The host station monitor can be placed on any counter surface so you can keep your restaurant to whatever theme you are going for.

The host station work similar to a sink and can be placed on any counter and cut outs the countertop. I also overrode the Industro Sink to serve as a the waiter station as well while still functioning as a sink!

This set also comes with several clutter items that are restaurant themed.

All of the restaurant items require Dine Out but the clutter is all BGC!

I wanted to make this maxis counter less cheap-looking. Don’t know if I succeed. I hate how some maxis meshes stretch textures and make them blurry :(

Krampft Industries Value counter retextured in 2 random wood textures and recolored in 16 colors. First swatch is completely random, others were copied from one of Michelle’s swatches, so I guess these are maxis wood colors, but don’t quote me on that.

Counters have dirty states. Countertops and cabinets are both recolored.

Obviously some of the best brick in the game, I needed to have it in more colours. This comes in 44 Image Spectra colours, with extra options for different bottoms so you can mix and match. Shown here on the tall wall height, on shorter heights the bottom section will seem to take up more of the wall.
