interlanguage interactions among Arabic-french bilinguals in a migratory context
Hello, I'am Saadia a student in the master degree in french and francophone studies at the Jean Jaures university in Toulouse. My research subject is on the discipline of language sciences and is entitled: interlanguage interactions among Arabic-french bilinguals in a migratory context. I'am going to talk you about my research.
When a person or group  moves in the time and space, he takes his language and culture with him. So we are confronted with a contact of languages.
This research is concerned with this language contact and in particular allows us to look at a situation in bilingual contact involving Arabic and French. We wish to make a modest contribution to a better understanding of this issue. In order to carry out our work, we have formulated the following working hypotheses: -speakers who are often bilingual value code-switching and consider it necessary practice. -the emergence of borrowings in speakers speech is not random, there must be reasons that justify the use of these new linguistic units.
We are interested in answering these questions in a linguistic framework by looking into the field where the actors are Syrian students while analyzing their speech.
