‎Alī b. Abū Tālib رضي الله عنه said:
‎“The world is departing and the Hereafter is approaching, and each of them have their own children. So be from the children of the Hereafter and do not be from the children of this world.
‎Verily, today there are actions and no reckoning,
‎but tomorrow there is a reckoning and no actions.”

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn رحيم الله said:
"Reaching Ramadhān is a great blessing upon the one who reaches it and fulfills its right by returning to his Lord; from His disobedience to His obedience, and from heedlessness to His remembrance, and from being distant from him to turning in repentance to Him.

it is jummah so don't forget to read surah al-kahf! every letter you read of the Qur'an is worth 10 good deeds (hasanat).
that means just by reading "الحمد لله" from the first ayah of al-kahf, you receive 80 hasanat.
if you read the entire surah, you get over 63,600 hasanat! that's 63,600 hasanat to testify on your behalf on the day of judgement!
and if you struggle while reading arabic, you get double that reward- so over 126,000 hasanat!
so what are you waiting for? claim your hasanat - it only takes 15 minutes!

Take a moment and make a duaa. Any duaa for anyone, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem and truly reflect over who that duaa is made to. His might and His willingness to respond to it.

You gotta ask yourself time and time again if you’re ready to meet Allah. Are you in a position where if He took your soul back at this time, you’d be yearning to meet Him or afraid to encounter what you put forward of your deeds? It’s so easy to lose focus of the end goal so ask yourself and be honest with yourself. If your answer hits you like bricks, you’ve got work to do.

Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah said:
“The morning and evening adhkar play the role of a shield; the thicker it is the more its owner will not be affected. Rather, its strength can reach to such an extent that the arrow shot at it will bounce back to affect the one who shot it.”

I love this Arabic proverb:
‎تدعِي القلوب بما تشتهي فيجيب الله بما هو خيرٌ لها
‎“Hearts pray for what they desire, Allahﷻ answers by what is best for them”
‎you won’t receive except what Allahﷻ wills for you!

august, be good to me. bring my angels in human form. remind me of my faith, show me the harvest of this year’s pain. for everything that i’ve lost. give me the grace to carry on. teach me humility and self forgiveness. move my heart into ease. guide my mind into peace.
