Tools Required for Installing Wireless Security Camera System at Home
Wireless security camera systems have two ways to be connected to the NVR (Network Video Recorder).
The first one is by using an Ethernet cable, and the second is through wifi antennas. But in general, the tools for both types are the same such as
Laddar.
Spade Bit.
Screw Bit.
Electric Screwdriver.
Pencil.
Mounting Template.
Electric drill.
Fish tape.
Wire detector.
Electrical Tape.
Hammer.
Hard drive (if it’s not included in the NVR).
These are the most common tools you will need before you start to install wireless security camera system at home.
Note: You may need some additional tools or fewer than the listed above tools but all will depend on your situation.
The installation Steps
If you are installing a security camera system for the first time, you may find it confusing. But don’t worry! By following the step-by-step guide below you will do it professionally.
Step1- Find The Best Available Location
Carefully, when you decide to install wireless security camera system at home with your hand,  you need to find the best available location for the camera.
Choosing a good location for a camera will help you cover and protect your property, and monitor everything happening in your home.
Wherever, inside or outside the home, you should keep the camera at a good spot from which you can see who comes in and out from your area.
Also, you need to keep it high and away from people’s sight to make it hard to reach and protect it from anyone who wants to damage it like intruders, and thieves.
The last thing in the camera placement part is you should make the camera view clear of any obstacle that may affect cam performance such as trees, tall fences, birdhouses, and more.
Note: after you finish selecting the best location for mounting the camera, look at the available power sources that exist near the camera. If there isn’t any power outlet, you can change the camera location or purchase an extension cord.
Step2- Put Mounting Template and Drill Holes
Once you complete the first process, then it’s time to bring your tools and go for the hard step of the installation process which is drilling holes for camera screws, and cables.
First, Pick the ladder you have and put it on the selected camera location.
Second, take the mounting template from the camera package and put it in the camera position.
Third, Put the screw bits on the electric drill to start to drill holes for camera screws. (If you install the cameras on strong material such as concrete you need to install anchors).
Forth, Remove the screw bit and set the spade bit on the drill to make a hole for the cam main cables (power and signal cable).
Fifth, after you drill the big hole for wires, pass the cables through it.
Now, you are finishing one of the hardest steps in the installation process that a lot of people hate to do.
Step3- Fix the Wireless Security Camera
The next step in how to install wireless security camera system at home is to fix the camera at its spot.
Take the screw drive that you buy and fix the screws of the camera one by one, and after you finish adjust the camera angle and direct it to the targeted area.
If you decide to make the connection between the camera and the receiver is wirelessly, then the final thing to do with the camera is to install the camera antenna provided in the device box.
On the other hand, if you want to make the wireless cameras of the system connected to the NVR by cat5 ethernet cables, then you need to bring the fish tape.
First, connect the Ethernet cable first end to the RG45 port of the camera. After that, hook the second end of the network cable to the fish tape.
Second, Pull the fish tape until you see the cable appear from the hole, then remove it from the tape and connect it to one of the NVR ports.
Third, Repeat the previous step with each camera of your system to complete the whole installation process of the system.
Here you’re done with the hardest steps of installing a wireless camera at home, and the other steps are easy to do.
Step4- Turn on the NVR
Everything is connected, and cameras are fixed. The next thing is to turn on the NVR and set the configuration for the features of the system such as motion recording, remote viewing, and storage.
But, before you start doing anything. Check and see if your NVR device has a built-in hard drive or not? If Yes you can go ahead and turn it on, if No then you need to install the hard drive. Just
1- With the screwdriver, unscrew the NVR back and side screws and then remove the top part.
2- Put your hard drive inside the video recorder, and connect it with the connections provided.
3- Fix the hard drive by turning the NVR on its back and holding the hard, and then start to fix the screws.

However, if you are using a network cable to link between cameras and the video recorder make sure that all cameras are connected correctly before going to the next step.
Step6- Connect the NVR to WiFi Router
As we know, these types of cameras have two and sometimes three wires. One for power, the second for the signal which is RJ 45, and the third one for reset.
You may ask Why Should I Connect NVR to a WiFi Router?
Well, to provide full protection security cameras use a feature called Remote Viewing and this advantage allows you to check your home or know what’s going on while you are away.
But, unfortunately, this feature will not work if you don’t have a network connection. So this is the main reason why we connect the NVR to the wifi router.
So, once you connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the network router. The connection status in each camera will be changed to “ONLINE”.
Note: There will be a Cloud ID or Unique ID for every cam that will be used in the next step.
Step7- Link the Wireless Cameras to the mobile App
Now, we are reaching the final step of how to install wireless security camera system at home.
After you connect the wireless cameras to the power source and turn them on, you need to link all the devices in one place to make it easy to control the whole system.
For this, every security camera brand in the market has its own mobile app that’s available for both Android and iPhone mobiles.
To download the mobile application for the cameras follow the below steps:
1- Click on the menu in the NVR screen and choose the “Setup the Wizard” option.
2- A new window will open on the screen and there are 3 QR codes to scan.
3- Scan the QR code according to your mobile model if it’s an Android or IOS phone.
4- Once you finish scanning the code, then you will be directed to the APP page on the store, click on Download, and after that INSTALL.
5- Open the mobile app and it will request you to sign up for an account, create an account and save the login details.
6- Click on the “+” sign or “ADD” to add the NVR and the cameras.
7- Scan for the NVR wireless network or scan the last QR code of the NVR and your system will be ready to work.
Now after finishing the below steps your wireless system is connected successfully and you can go for additional settings for cameras such as set time for recording videos, adjusting the level of motion sensor, and testing the 2-way audio if it exists.

Some customers use the port forwarding/port mapping method because of its benefits, this method allows you to view security cameras on mobile, web browser, or on pc while you’re away.
It’s based on setting up and changing the router device NAT rules to make routers forward ports to the NVR or DVR.
So, once you type your static IP of your DVR/NVR with the port you see your camera feeds.
Solution: the viewing settings especially for port forwarding is easy to do in case you’re a beginner or professional. What you need to do is
Login to your router page with your username and password.
Go for network setting tap (depend on your device provider and model) and in the port forwarding section create your rules, make sure you use TCP, not UDP.
Also, check that your recorder has static IP and you disabled the DHCP.
Look at the port number on your DVR/NVR settings and ensure that it doesn’t change.
Once you do the above steps you can go and test your CCTV camera on your mobile and see if it’s working or not.
5- Scan Mobile App
Sometimes it’s not connections that make the CCTV camera is not working on mobile issues, in some cases, it’s a bug in the Mobile app.
Not only that, customers and homeowners install the wrong mobile app or fake not the original app from the camera provider.
Installation of an incorrect app means that the Mobile application isn’t compatible with your cameras. Almost every camera manufacturer has its application.,
Solution: To avoid this misunderstanding and go for the wrong app, contact your camera brand customer support and ask them what is your App?
In case you installed the right Application and still have the same issue, you can contact your support first, and then search online on the problem to find the best solution.
6- Look At Required Softwares
For avoiding CCTV Camera Is Not Working on Mobile problems you should look at the software that your surveillance system uses.
Always monitor your system software and see if it’s updated or not? Sometimes complete security camera systems stop because the system is not updating.
The same also with Mobile and the viewing Application if you forget to update your software an alert notification will appear on your mobile screen to update.
Solution: go for your camera/video recorder settings and check if they are updated to the latest software update or not? If not, you should update it.
In addition, do the same with the mobile app and open your mobile store to see if a new update is released for the application or not.
Final Words

How to Fix Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night Issue
Security Camera Shows Deteriorated images at night is one of the most common problems that affect your surveillance system performance.
While security cameras are good devices to have that make you watch and see what is happening around your outside area but sometimes it gets damaged.
These damages happen because of many reasons such as low ambient light around the camera, poor power source, software, and hardware.
Once a little damage happens in any part of the system, whatever lighting, wires, cables, or IR sensors, you’ll notice that your system stops working, or work with problems such as cameras are off at night, CCTV camera colors are off, sometimes image flickering, and more.
If you have any of the above problems? Don’t worry.
You can fix it easily once you know the main reason and the right troubleshooting and how to fix it correctly.
For now, in this article, we dive into why security camera shows Deteriorated images at night? And how to fix them in easy steps?
Let’s See
Why Do Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night? Or Why are security cameras blurry at night?
If you have a security camera that works during the day without problems and when the outside area becomes dark the camera shows a white spot on the screen or white haze then you mostly have the “Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night” issue. This issue happens when there is a surface or object that makes the infrared light reflecting back into the camera lens.
Another reason for this problem is when you mount or install your security cameras and direct them to powerful light sources such as spotlights or floodlights, the more light in front of the camera the high possibility that your camera is damaged and will start showing large white pictures.
Moreover, Insufficient power can be one of the main reasons for image deterioration at night. The theory behind that is when infrared switches on the camera it will draw more current. So, if you have a low power supply you may face problems with your security camera during the night.
How to Fix Security Camera Shows Deteriorated or noisy Images at Night Issue?
No one can fix any problem unless he knows the reason for the problem and the right steps to fix it, so before starting this task make sure you follow the correct steps.
Here are the checklist for Security Camera Shows Deteriorated or noisy Images at Night Problem:
1- Install Camera Away From Light
When you install a security camera in dark areas the camera produces low-quality images, especially if your cam hasn’t a night vision feature.
On the other hand, a lot of light sources around your camera will make your monitoring camera show unclear images at night.
One of the advanced methods that burglars use to blind home security cameras is to use a powerful light source such as a laser pointer or helmet with a flashlight.
This light is directed to the camera lens and leads to the camera produce noisy footage and Deteriorated Images at Night.
The same concept also applies to sunlight during the day, in case you do the installation process of your security cameras without protecting them from sunlight you may get grainy images.
Solution: Mount your cameras away from any light source such as car light or neighbors spotlight to avoid Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night Issue.
In case you don’t have any free place to put your security camera in, you can keep it in the same location but install a protective cover for your camera lens.
2- Avoid Windows
Another Reason that makes Security camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night Issue is to locate cameras near windows.
Home windows are made of glass and wood, so when you have a camera mounted in front of the window, the bright light falls on the window, then the window will reflect the light to the camera lens.
This small amount of light reflected from the window can make your camera capture undetailed images at night/day.
Solution: Try to move your security cameras away from windows, glasses, aluminum, or any surface that may reflect the light on your camera.
3- Check the Camera Pathway
A clean Pathway for your camera means fewer problems and capturing clear images with details.
As we mentioned above, the root for why security camera shows deteriorated images at night is a problem in sensor functions or the camera being exposed to bright lights.
But what if your camera has moderate light conditions and the problem still exists?
Well, in this case, you need to check and see if your camera path is clean or not, an uncleaned pathway means that the infrared lights are reflected back to the camera lens.
Solution: ensure you remove any object stuck in your camera field of view to enable your cam to work normally without problems.
4- Camera Visor
If you notice that your camera produces white images during the night after checking cables and pathways of your system, then you need to test your camera Visor.
The camera visor piece consists of plastic or glass to cover the camera lens and protect it from IR LEDs, when there is damage in this part it may cause noisy deteriorated images.
Solution: open your camera body and check if the camera visor adequately covers the lens or not? And make sure that the camera is far away from the Light source.
5- Insufficient power & CCD Sensors
Besides the reasons mentioned above, Insufficient power and damaged sensors can cause Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night Issue.
When night comes and the area around your home becomes darker, the camera will turn on the night vision feature automatically to monitor and capture footage.
The night vision feature will turn on Infrared LEDs also which means more power for the camera, so if you have a low power source you must replace it with a powerful one.
Solution: you need to make your wire route short as much as you can, long-distance and narrow cross-sections cabled caused voltage drop.
Another solution you can make from the beginning is to purchase a PoE Network security system, this system uses Ethernet cables like Cat5, and Cat6 to transmit power and data over one cable.
The PoE system is reliable, unlike an analog CCTV system that consists of a DVR device, and Coaxial cables for data, and copper electrical wire for power.
Also having wire-free cameras that are powered by long-lasting batteries will eliminate power problems in your system.
Final Words
No one can deny the importance of security cameras for home safety and protection. Especially at night when thieves target houses to steal.
But the bad news is external factors such as the reasons we mentioned above can damage your cameras and cause Security Camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night Issue.
Not only that, the more damaged parts in your system the more problems you have, problems such as Camera isn’t Working at Night, No Video Signal from a camera, and Camera Shows Black and White Images issue.
So, you must fix any issue immediately to get 100% protection and avoid burglary and vandalism, especially at night. you can read the user manual guide or contact the maintenance center if you test the above solutions and still have the same issue.

How to Fix Security Camera isn’t Working at Night Problem
Security Camera Isn’t Working at Night is one of the security system Problems that are common these days for homeowners and business customers, problems such as lost video signal, CCTV Video Is Flickering, the camera shows a black screen and more.
This issue is important to fix immediately as most crimes are committed at night when there are no lights.
Nowadays, most security cameras come with advanced features such as motion detection, live view, and Night Vision.
The Night Vision feature enables you to capture clear footage for burglars or thieves during the night, but the bad news is this feature may not work and cause Camera Isn’t Working at Night or the camera Shows Deteriorated Images at Night problem due to many reasons, for example:
Power issues
LEDs are damaged
Sensors don’t work
Camera Configuration
Weather Conditions
These are the main reasons why the Night Vision feature doesn’t work, and as a result, leads to the security camera isn’t working at night.
Don’t worry in this article we cover each reason and solution. Here are the checklist and solutions
Security Camera Isn’t Working at Night: Checklist & Solutions
Step1: Check Power Cables and Batteries
The first thing you should do to get rid of security camera problems, especially when the security camera isn’t working at Night issue is to check the Power source.
Sometimes low volts coming to the camera make a lot of trouble, so in troubleshooting ensure that every wire and cable is connected correctly to its place.
The same also with wire-free or wireless security cameras that are powered by batteries, when cam battery indicators show low capacity signs you must recharge them.
Because when the LEDs turn on at night, the CCTV camera automatically requires more volts to power the LEDs.
Plus, the insufficient power supply causes many problems such as video signal loss, a Camera shows a black screen at night, and cam flickering on and off.
Solution: To avoid Security Camera problems concerning power you should check the power source first, and if your camera battery or adapter has a problem make sure to replace it.
Step2: Test the LEDs of the Camera
The second step in troubleshooting to fix a “security camera isn’t working at night” problem is to check and test the LEDs or the camera.
LED (light-emitting diode) is used widely in electronic devices as a light source, and for security cameras, it’s used to enhance the camera capture pictures in dark areas.
Before the CCTV or PoE IP security camera records videos at night there is a small process.
When the light source becomes low or darker in the ambient area of the camera, the High sensitive sensors included in the camera automatically send a signal to the cam to turn on LEDs.
Once the LEDs are on the camera will start to capture footage and record everything that happens at night, so if you have a problem with the LEDs, the camera wouldn’t work normally at night.
Solution: Before you install the camera on your house, test the LEDs firstly in a low-light environment to see if the IR LEDs are on or not.
If the camera doesn’t have LEDs at all, you can purchase a Floodlight or external IR illuminators
to make your camera work at night without problems.
Step3: Scan Sensors
Another Reason that is related to LEDs and can lead to the security camera isn’t working at night issue is the IR image sensors.
As we mentioned above Night vision features depend on both LEDs and Infrared sensors.
If something wrong happens to this equipment, they will make your camera isn’t working normally at night.
Nowadays, every camera that has night vision has what is called IR cut Filter, this filter works to block or prevent near-infrared wavelengths and path only visible light.
The IR filter turns on manually or automatically depending on sensor signals. So, if your camera doesn’t work at night that means your camera sensors don’t work.
Solutions: put your camera in a room before you mount it in any place, and then turn on a light source and see if the Night Vision works or not.
If the problem is still the same you can check the night vision setting on your video recorder setting, contact your camera manufacturer support, or look at the camera manual guide included with the package.
Step4: Look at Camera Configuration
Camera or DVR/NVR Configuration may be one of the reasons for the security camera isn’t working at night, the camera doesn’t store recorded videos, and more.
CCTV customers have complained before that they have a problem when the outside area becomes black, the cameras and DVR/NVR doesn’t work at all.
They check to see if there are some objects in the optical pathway of the cam but they don’t find anything to stop the camera from monitoring during the night.
In the second step they looked at the video recorder settings to see how they set up the surveillance system, they found that the Camera configuration is adjusted to work during the day only.
So, if you have a Wired PoE Security System or Wireless system make sure to select the night vision to work automatically not manually.
Solution: Download the camera mobile app on your smartphone and look at the settings of features that are turned on/off.
Step5: Protect Camera from Bad Weather
Security Camera Problems can easily hit your surveillance cameras if you don’t protect them against bad weather conditions.
If your camera isn’t working at night, check if the camera has rain or dust inside it or not, as we know in some cities the weather becomes bad at night especially in the winter.
Security cameras and electronic devices are damaged fastly if the water enters inside the device body, it affects the device connections and may disable some features.
Solution: to get peace of mind and make your surveillance system work continuously.
Pick a protecting case for your security cameras if you mounted it outside, or hide the camera wires and cables if you have a wired analog system.
Another way to fix this problem is to search for security cameras with weather resistance advantages, these cameras are designed especially to work in bad weather.
Final Words
Security Camera Isn’t Working at Night Problem can be fixed easily if you do the right steps for troubleshooting, so in this article, we mention the 5 steps to check and fix one of the hardest security camera problems.
Make sure before you start any of the above steps that you have the suitable tools as you may need to install/reinstall cameras, or splice the camera wires and cables.
in case you have another security camera problem such as a camera shows black and white images, or noisy footage issues you can check or latest blog posts and know how to fix them.

Now let’s see Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Review and first start with Features
Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Features
1- 4K UHD Resolution
When it comes to Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Review and other home cameras review, we put resolution as one of the most important keys to rate cameras on.
The standard video display resolution for most smart security cameras is 1080p like a nest, and blink cams, some cameras increase the viewing angle to capture clear detailed footage.
But the Arlo Ultra security camera has both UHD resolution and a wide viewing angle.
The 4K Ultra High Definition video of the Alro Ultra Security Camera can be startling to the ordinary security camera.
The Arlo Ultra offers a 3x more detailed picture, with 2 times the resolution of 1080p. So, with one camera or 2 of the Alro Ultra Security Camera, you can monitor everything happening around your home.
2- Wire-Free Security Camera System
There is no dearth of options when it comes to security cameras. That’s because security cameras are one of the most valuable tools you can have in protecting your family and valuables.
The problem is that you need to pick just one type of camera out of hundreds!. Not only that, you need to choose a DIY security camera if you are a beginner.
For Alro Ultra Security Camera Review, we believe that Arlo is one of the best wire-free security cameras out there. It has a base station and Arlo’s wireless security cameras with spotlight only.
It’s powered by 1 Lithium-ion rechargeable battery that can stand for a long time without having to recharge it again.
The Arlo Ultra security camera system is suitable for people who are busy and don’t have time to invest in installing security camera wires around their homes.
3- Zoom in Feature
In the Alro Ultra Security Camera Review round, we have the ability to test many features of this awesome security system, and one of the major advantages is the zoom feature.
The ordinary security cameras aren’t able to catch the details, like license plates or faces.
You want to feel secure when you’re at home but you can’t see who is outside your door. Or what they look like.
In this case, you need to invest in a high-quality security camera system that allows you to get every detail of the picture between your hands.
Arlo Ultra security camera makes it easy to zoom in and see details with crystal clear clarity. And it works whether you are home or abroad, so you can check that the kids are playing or sleeping with one touch.
4- HDR Technology
Bored of constant break-ins and home burglaries that happen a lot in the last period and think about the final solution?.
Sorry for that, But you are in the situation of most homeowners investing in a low-quality security camera system that works without HDR.
Maybe you don’t know what HDR is?
HDR refers to High Dynamic Range, and it’s an imaging technology used by super security cameras to allow you to capture images that look more like what you see in nature.
Arlo Ultra Security Camera uses this imaging technology to enable you to take high-quality images without missing details.
It’s an amazing feature especially if you plan to mount your security cameras in areas with direct sunlight or extreme shade.
5- Diagonal Field of View
The Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Review process takes several steps, and one of these steps is full comparison between the current cam and its predecessor.
If you look for an old Arlo security camera, you found that most of them had a 90-degree field of view or a little more. So, this means that you can’t cover the entire room with this small FAV.
Plus, if you have a big house you may need to spend $1,000 for installing four cameras and more.
But, the Arlo Ultra security camera has a 180-degree diagonal field of view.
So, you can see everything in your house with one small cam without investing more money in buying additional cameras.
6- Auto Image Correction Feature
Arlo Ultra security camera is a fabulous device that comes with auto image correction features besides 4K resolution, zoom in, and HDR.
When you record videos using other cameras, they mostly come out hazy when viewed at night because of improper lighting.
Even people who have electrical shutters installed face the same problem while viewing their recorded videos at night as their shutters would not be able to adjust themselves according to the ambient light.
The Arlo Ultra camera can automatically correct itself accordingly and give you bright and clear visuals, even if it is night time by using the auto image correction feature.
This feature is very useful as it helps in getting rid of shadows and incorrect shading.
Within seconds it will automatically adjust the images taken by the lens to make them clearer and crisper.
7- Enhanced Night Vision
In the time of Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Review, we test and look how the Night vision feature picture looks like.
Traditional security cameras are good but not good enough especially in low-light situations.
A dark scene is pure black regardless of how many megapixels the camera has.
Arlo Ultra comes with high-powered infrared LEDs (850nm) with IR Cut Filter. This gives Arlo Ultra the ability to see in absolute darkness.
The Arlo Ultra Security Camera has the ability to produce both black and white images, and color images also.
For black and white footage, Alro Ultra has two LED sensors to produce infrared light and allows you to see in the dark.
For color Footage, The cam uses its motion-activated integrated spotlight to light the area and record colored video clips at night.
So, The image is so clear, you feel like insects, small animals or intruders are in front of you because of the clear details.
8- Noise Canceling Technology
There are some really loud, obnoxious cameras out there. Some may be designed for the outdoors, but then you’ve got to worry about rain and snowproofing.
Others might have impeccable night vision and make you hear fake audio of everything that happens in your outdoor area even if it’s not important for you
But, Arlo Ultra Security Camera comes with noise-canceling technology that actively listens for outside noises.
Then, the cam uses proprietary algorithms to discern between them and the sounds your home is actually making and filters out extraneous noises like passing cars, barking dogs, or neighbor kids so you can better hear what really matters inside your home.
9- 2-way audio
In Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Review, we have the chance to test and try 2-way audio features and measure how great it is.
Nowadays, The modern world seems to be getting more dangerous by the day.
Children aren’t safe playing in the garden, let alone walking to school on their own. And senior citizens feel trapped in their homes for fear of being attacked.
But the good news is anyone can protect themselves and their family by purchasing a simple, wireless security camera that has a clear and reliable feed and 2-way audio.
The two-way audio in the Arlo Ultra Security Camera allows you to see and hear what’s going on outside your home – even if you’re not there. Giving you peace of mind.
So that you can check in on what matters most, and be in direct connection with one touch from your mobile app screen.
10- Weather-Resistant Design
Most customers want to protect their homes, but they fall into trouble by choosing low-quality security cameras with bad materials.
These security cameras at the first hint of rain they fail. Plus, On windy days, they stop working and maybe you need to hire an installer to back it again to its place.
But now you can avoid all those headaches thanks to the Smart Arlo Ultra Security Camera. It’s a perfect marriage of camera and weatherproofing.
With Arlo Ultra Security Camera, you can stay connected and secure despite unpredictable weather that can be a threat to your property and the people (and stuff) that matter most to you.
Arlo Ultra 4K Cam Drawbacks
1- Require Base Station

How to Fix Security Camera When No Video Signal (Quick Guide)
If you have a security camera you may face that your camera has no video signal displayed on your screen.
Customers and homeowners also complain of other security camera problems such as Security cameras showing a black and white screen, CCTV camera is Flickering, and more.
These problems affect our home protection because security is essential, everyone needs it.
As I’m a surveillance system installer, we discover that most security camera problems happen due to power failure or signal interference.
So, let’s see the main reason behind this issue
Why Do Security Cameras Have No Video Signal Issue?
Well, when you have a black screen or you turn on your security cameras and DVR/NVR and there nothing appears on your monitor, then you probably have No Video Signal issue.
This No Video Signal problem happens when there is a cut or bend on your system cables, especially HDMI or VGA cable connected between your Video Recorder Device and your cameras.
Another reason for the No Video Signal issue is faulty power wires or damage in the power adapter of cameras or any equipment in the system.
The hardware of the security system such as Analog CCTV cameras, DVR or NVR, and the monitor can cause no video signal issue if any device of your system is damaged.
In case you have a wireless or wire-free camera connected with your home network router, then any signal loss or interference from other devices in the network will cause a No Video Signal problem.
In addition, the software of your surveillance system or camera IP settings can cause No Video Signal issues such as IP address conflicts, Mac addresses, or wrong port forwarding rules in case you set up your cameras for remote viewing.
Some technical issues or wire errors can cause your security cameras to malfunction.
How to Fix Security Camera No Video Signals Issue Happens?
To Fix no video signal issue or video loss you must do the troubleshoot correctly to know where the main root of the problem is.
Since this type of problem depends on many factors, So you must check all of them.
Note: You may need additional equipment to help you in your jobs such as a cable tester, a signal detector, and Electric tape in case you want to splice your camera wires and cables.
There are several ways of solving this problem and each one is unique. Here are the solutions
Camera Power Supply
Once your security camera has No Video Signal issue, the first thing you need to check is the power supply.
It looks obvious, and we have all seen this a little bit, even the most experienced engineers also face this issue.
Because it is a complicated problem to analyze that your CCTV camera shows no video signal if your power supply is on.
This problem may happen due to the following reasons.
First of all, you need to see the power supply connectors and cables and make sure they are plugged in and undamaged.
If your CCTV camera has an external power supply, check if it is working or not.
In Case you have all the equipment, try to test the power supply and cable and then release the power and check whether it is working or not.
If the CCTV camera gets the power from the main supply or it is connected to any Electric Outlet box, check your box with care.
For Battery-powered systems check to see if your cam battery is charged or not.
The same steps you need to do in a PoE wired security system, See the PoE connectors and make sure that it is powered on.
Here are
Insufficient power supply Common Reasons
Power Cable Connections, Sources, and Extenders.
Connectors BNC of Coaxial cable and RG45 of Ethernet.
Cut, Bend, or Bad splice in Camera wires.
Long wire route.
Low-quality power cable with no isolation.
PoE switch/ injector damaged or not working.
One Power Cable feeds more than one camera.
For systems powered by batteries, the battery isn’t charged.
Battery life and capacity.
How To Fix?
Always pick High-Quality Power Cable with good materials.
Make your power cable as short as you can.
Don’t run your camera wires in easy to reach places to avoid cuts and splices.
Use the right tools to match the cable with connectors.
Every camera should use one power cable, not more than that.
Check carefully power splitters, and cable connectors.
look at PoE ports in Video Recorder and see if it works or not.
Always charge your battery and don’t make it run out.
Remove any switch, converter, and brigade connection that you don’t use in your system.
Check Your Camera Video or Data Connection
Suppose your CCTV camera doesn’t show the videos or pictures, even the old recorded videos.
In that case, you need to check the data connection because sometimes there is no video signal due to the poor data connection.
If you connect your CCTV camera with the DVR box, you need to check the cable wire and connectors from both ends carefully.
I plugged it in the right way and saw that it was not damaged. Use any CCTV test monitor because it can help you in this case.
If you are using any wired camera, the wiring cable should be solid, long-lasting, and damage-free.
On the other hand, if you are using the IP-connected wireless CCTV camera, make sure that the network setting works appropriately and is connected to the camera and screen.
Check the video requirements and advance network problems and ensure that you are located in the area where the network you are using is stable and good working.
Date Common Reasons
Ethernet cable or port is damaged.
Data Cable has a low connectivity material.
Cameras are installed away from the wifi router.
Signal interference from nearby devices.
Physical barriers like (walls, trees, and fences).
Use the wrong wifi signal (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
SIM cards have coverage problems for cellular security cameras.
How to Fix Date issues?
Double-check on your Data cables before you install them, Plus ensure that ports are working normally and not blocked.
Pick high-Quality Data cable, don’t go for cheap ones.
Remove any physical barriers that may affect Wifi Signal.
Try to use Wifi Extender devices (Repeaters)
Mount your cameras in the network wifi range.
Use Security Camera Jammers to detect if there is any jam or interference on your signal.
Make sure that cameras work on the same wifi channel of the routers (Don’t connect 2.4 GHz cameras to 5 GHz network)
Check your sim card is inserted in the camera and data is working in the case of cellular security cameras.
Check the CCTV Software
Always use the updated software from the cam manufacturer because it allows you to control the access of the cameras to protect your stream within a password.
Sometimes security cameras come with old software that has weak rules and different streaming protocols which may cause no video signal issue.
What I mean is to check your camera software to see if your system has the latest streaming protocols or not, if not update your system through your internet connection and test again.
Another Software reason that may be the reason for the No Video Signal issue is to have a problem with your camera mobile app, sometimes the wrong synchronization with the cam cloud server leads to no video signal problem.
CCTV Software Common Reasons and troubleshooting
The security camera system is not updated.
The camera has a Faulty IR sensor.
Night vision settings are changed.
Camera Zoom turned off.
Wrong Login(username, and password) information.
A bug in the camera mobile app.
Firmware Problem.
Low bandwidth.
How to Fix?
Always update your system.
Check the functions of your security camera carefully.
Use the right information to link your cameras with smartphone apps.
Setup Viewing Setting
One of the reasons that cause the No Video Signal issue is when your viewing setting on the camera or video recorder changed.
If your cameras support live streaming and when you try to access it remotely a No Video Signal message appears, then you must check the Viewing Settings of your camera.
Go to your camera or DVR/NVR login page and see if there are any changes in settings or not, in case you don’t know how to fix it?
reset your camera and reconfigure it again, another way to solve this issue is to follow the camera user guide provided by the camera supplier, or contact your camera support.
Check Your Camera Is Damaged
If you face the no video signal issue in the CCTV camera, the most chances are that your camera is damaged, out of range, or has any technical or another view issue.
If the camera is powered on and has not no connectivity or wiring issue, then there are significant changes to check the camera itself carefully by opening it.
See that the lens is safe from any damage, the domes are working well, and the optical path is working the right way.
If your CCTV camera has not any external damage, then go to the CCTV shop and repair center so that he can check the internal issue by opening it.

How To Fix CCTV Camera is Flickering Issue (Easy Guide)
CCTV camera is Flickering problem, It’s a headache for beginners when this issue happens on their surveillance system.
CCTV cameras are a significant part of our security system besides Video recorders whatever DVR or NVR. These devices are used to secure our homes, lockers, offices, and shops.
Many models of CCTV cameras available in the market now use high sensitive sensors to provide advanced features to your system. but sometimes they start causing problems.
Problems such as CCTV camera is Flickering, Horizontal lines showing on the screen, Noisy footage, and more.
Previously we wrote about the most common CCTV camera problems you can check our blog posts. For now, we go deep into the “CCTV camera is Flickering” issue.
Most of the people searching for the cause behind the flickering, and Ask
Why the CCTV camera is flickering?
The main issues behind “CCTV camera is flickering” are electrical problems and Lighting. It can also be due to conflicting electrical frequency sent to the camera. Moreover improper software settings for CCTV can be the reason behind the flickering.
Below are the all possible root issues behind security camera flickering?
1- Electricity Problems
Most of the issues in powered tools are mainly due to the loss of electricity. Sometimes the frequency or power given to CCTV is not enough for its proper functioning.
So, first of all, when you see your camera is flickering, check the power supply.
CCTV cameras are designed in a way to utilize infrared lights for capturing footage in dark areas or when the ambient light around the cam becomes low.
CCTV causes improper action when it has a low battery or power source so infrared lights are not taking enough supply to work accurately.
So, you must check the power supply of your security system. If the system runs on a power outlet, check the output to see if it meets the camera inputs or not.
2- Short Cables or Connections
If your CCTV camera wires or connection have shorts at certain points can cause flickering of the camera.
Short connections are the reason behind the power and data conveyance problem that causes noisy images with inferior quality.
Carefully observe all cables or wires and find the damaged area. Immediately repair or splice it correctly because the damaged part corrodes conveniently. For this purpose, you must ground or cover the connections with electric tape.
Note: Sometimes short cables lead to security camera has No Video Signal issue.
3- Older CCTV Cameras
If your CCTV camera is very old it will face more problems. One problem is the “CCTV camera is flickering” issue.
Because all the security cameras have definite life. If your camera is near to expiration or works for a long time in an inconvenient area it starts causing problems.
So, when possible replace it. Before replacing or buying a new one must check the connection and cables of an old security camera. If there is no damage only buy a new camera.
So, we mentioned all possible reasons and their solutions for you in the above Words.
Now, Let’s see
How to Fix Security Camera When CCTV Video is Flickering
The fixing process of CCTV Video Flickering is easy and possible if you detect the reason for the problem. It may be caused due to power or signal interference affecting camera lights.
Here are the tested solutions that help you to overcome the camera flickering issue:
Step1: Check that your monitor is working properly. If the flickering is only on the specific part of the monitor, repair your display monitor immediately.
Step2: If your CCTV footage continuously flickers even when you disconnect the connected camera. Then inspect the electricity supply of the monitor, wires, and connections for damage.
It indicates that the footage signal is clear, the main problem is caused by the monitor’s end or connectors. Then take steps for its maintenance.
Step3: If the problem is caused by short wiring and connections. Immediately check the wire routes that they are in the right place.
Also, ensure that they are properly grounded. If damage is huge, quickly repair it or call the experts.
Step4: If the flickering is only caused at night make it possible that your electrical supply is sufficient enough to fulfill the camera’s need.
So, if supply is low means CCTV cameras need extra supply for the LED. Call the technician to sort out the power problem immediately.
Step5: If the above issue is not the root cause of flickering in dark. Then check that the CCTV camera is installed away from the electrical source.
Because when the light of cars, bikes turned on, or light of any passing vehicle flickers the footage for a few moments.
So, to avoid such issues, change the angle of the camera or buy CCTV cameras that have light sensors.
Step6: If the above is not the cause behind the “CCTV camera is flickering” issue. Use a signal detector to identify the damage if you have a wireless security system.
Step7: If the issue still exists check the security camera again particularly infrared LEDs for the issue.
As you know infrared radiations are invisible to the human eye, so the flickering of LEDs is also invisible. You can only flicker video with the naked eye. So, repair the LED sensors of your camera to eliminate this issue.
Step8: Old CCTV cameras also cause the video to flicker. So, replace your camera with the latest one or repair it as soon as possible.
Step9: If the problem is still present, call the technicians or experts for an opinion.
Final Verdicts
We end our above discussion with the final words that CCTV cameras are the biggest way to secure our homes and offices. Sometimes these security cameras start causing problems.
One of the problems is that the CCTV camera is flickering. This problem is so annoying and bothers the users.
So, in the article, we did our best to summarize all the main reasons behind camera flickering. Also, we give you tested solutions for this problem.
We are assured that this solution will provide convenience in your life. Moreover, you can earn double benefits i.e. can prevent your time and money (in case you call an expert) from wasting.

How to Fix Security Camera Shows Black and White Images
Fixing a security camera at home when a Security camera shows black and white images on your monitor is an issue many people face.
Each camera image shows only white and black with no colors, which is one of the biggest problems.
Several reasons lead to this problem at higher risks because CCTV cameras may indicate a fact that is not common in actuality.
The guide below in this post is about fixing the problem when your camera shows black and white-colored images.
Showing black and white images at night is normal since many cameras have night vision, so your image will turn black and white even when the scene is completely dark.
This can be fixed easily if you cannot see color in DVRs and NVRs in daylight. Below are some more guides. But before that, you may ask
Why Is My Security Camera Showing Black and White Images?
Well, when your security camera shows black and white images that are probably a defect in the Infrared sensor of the camera, sometimes it’s damaged and can’t pick enough colors to create an image or stays ON even when they are not dark in the camera’s ambient area.
Nowadays, every surveillance camera in the market has a night vision feature, whether colored or black and white, the night vision depends on camera Infrared Sensors to create pictures.
Simply, when the sun goes down the camera field of view becomes darker which makes the camera turn on the infrared light and image sensor automatically to detect the normal visible light.
The cam sends Infrared light to illuminate its viewing area, the light hits people and objects and goes back to the image sensor to create the images for users.
So, the problem of the Black and White images happens when there is a problem with visible light sensors, it may stop or can’t pick up enough light to create colored images.
There is more than one sign that your security camera shows black and white images such as your camera Infrared LEDs work during the day (always look around the camera lens and see if there is a red light or not as IR LEDs are always situated around the lens).
Another sign for black and white image problems is to see black and white areas in recorded videos as Bright infrared lights represent the white spot on the video feed, and dimmer lights represent the gray or black spots on the screen.
Now, Let’s dive in and see
How to Fix Camera White and Black Color Image Problem
Fixing the security camera problem is a significant issue now, as we mentioned above, several reasons make your image’s camera black and white.
Security camera shows black and white images at night due to night vision features that are the standard. It differs if you have a spotlight or floodlight camera then in this case you should get a colored night vision at night.
But when it’s daytime, then a camera should show colored images.
If it’s still black and white, then you need to fix it. Here are some ways you can implement security camera issues at home for black and white color images.
1- Check The Light Source
Mostly Security camera shows black and white images problem happens when there are night visions, or your camera is fixed on the position where there is the absence of light or where a shadow is every day all time.
It’s a common issue that most people ignore and spend a lot of money buying a new camera thinking it’s a cam problem. So, in this case, install your camera in such a place where it’s enough to light for the camera.
Since it is dark, the camera switches to the night mode and shows black and white images but with the help of powerful lighting, it shows colored images.
Solution: Place the camera in a different or brighter light. Also, adjust the night vision settings on your camera.
2- Check Camera & System Settings
Several modes in a CCTV camera are used for home, i.e., auto mode, day mode, or night mode. Some people set off-camera at night mode without their knowledge, and they think their camera is damaged when they see only a white and black image.
In this case, please turn on the auto mode setting of your CCTV camera, and it’s fine now with all colors.
Solution: It would be best if you reinstalled the DVR/NVR or camera to the default settings. Erasing those old settings will bring the camera back to its factory settings. For nighttime recordings, the cameras will sense the light to record in black and white or with color.
3- Input Video Signals Should Match to Output Video Type
There are versatile options available in the market that make your camera choice a successful process.
For example, if you set an analog option for the input video signals, make sure that your output is set to the same type of signals, i.e., the analog output.
Solution: Make sure to set a composite auto signal to the relevant output plugin. It is the least common and hidden technique which most people miss.
4- Check and Clean the Camera Lens
An essential but straightforward method to fix security camera shows white and black images issue is to swipe your camera with a smooth cloth or with a specific cleaner.
Sometimes, there’s high dust in camera lenses or other parts due to which color patterns or the camera rays don’t work well. With an unclean lens Problems such as camera colors are off, and the camera shows black screen can happen easily.
Solution: We recommend implementing this step before any change or reinstallation in your CCTV camera.
In this way, if your camera works well, then you must be happy. On the other hand, if it does not work for you, follow or move towards the other ways to set off your security camera at home.
5- Contact Camera Support
Contact your camera support will be helpful for security camera shows black and white images problem.
There are a lot of customers and homeowners who contact camera manufacturers to ask them for help. If the problem is repeated then they will help you with the correct steps to solve this problem.
Solution: Take advantage and call the technical support, within a short time you may get your problem solved without waiting for a technician for a long time.
Note: Before purchasing your camera system make sure that it has good customer service and available 24/7.
6- Warranty Benefit
The last suggestion that we would love to solve the security camera shows black and white images issue is to take advantage of the warranty.
Think if you don’t want to reset or make any changes to your camera settings, then see your camera’s warranty.
If still there is the time, then definitely exchanging the camera would be the best option. In that case, replace it.
Additionally, you should ensure that the companies that support their products are reliable and reputable. If you use cheap cameras, you will not save money now, but you will lose more when the devices fail.
Final Verdicts
Fixing security camera problems when it’s about black and white color images is a great deal and issue to handle.
There are many ways to resolve this issue, some of these are dead simple, but some of these require your attention and hard work.
The first thing you need to do is troubleshooting and find out why a camera is working without colors and provides an image with white and black colors only.

Now, Let’s Dive into Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, and Start with Cam features
Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Security Camera Features
1- 2K Video Resolution & HDR
Before we start the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Review, we reviewed the previous cam from Arlo which is Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight camera to see the differences.
Protecting your home or business gets more and more difficult. It’s like the criminals keep upping their game. Sssh! You don’t want them to know they are getting smarter.
With today’s criminal element using drones for reconnaissance, one security camera with standard 1080p resolution around the outside of your building isn’t enough.
If you’re looking for a security camera with top-of-the-range video, you need to look no further than the Arlo Pro 3.
The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera from Netgear boosts protection by incorporating a 2K resolution with other image process technologies Like HDR.
So, with the 2K resolution and High-Dynamic-Range, you will get crisp and clear footage from your camera in a few seconds.
2- Zoom in Feature
Another amazing Feature in Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review is the zoom-in.
Although the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera comes with 2k Resolution and HDR, the Zoom in feature will add more to your captured images.
In the past, Traditional CCTV security cameras couldn’t see clear pictures at day or night.
The old cams use analog technology for delivering image details which makes it hard to see and zoom in details.
In the new generation of Network cameras, you can use zoom to see car plate numbers and the face details of anyone coming to your house.
So, if you are concerned about seeing more details and info about criminals and thieves, or your car parts, then the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera is the best option for you.
3- Amazing Brightness
What we love more in Our Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review is the Brightness and how great it is.
Live in the country or in a large yard and want to see everything at night? You need a decently bright security camera.
But then you’re faced with choosing between a powerful floodlight that may not be very discreet, or a covert camera with poor lighting.
And both options will cost you more money and time.
But, the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera lights and covers all the boxes with one single device.
With 2000 Lumens of brightness that can reach up to 3000 Lumens with the outdoor magnetic charging cable.
The 2000 Lumens of Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight cam is the largest among other floodlight cameras such as Ring Floodlight cam which has 1.800 lumens.
These Floodlights can work automatically when a motion sensor detects activity or manually depending on how bright or dark it is in your outdoor area.
Furthermore, you can adjust the brightness level if you want to down these lumens a bit.
From the cam mobile App, you can control anything with your camera.
4- Color Night Vision
Nowadays, there is no security camera available in the market that doesn’t have Night vision recording, most cameras have except the rubbish cams.
Night vision is important for anyone to know how things are going on outside, and to be able to see clearly in the dark if they lose something.
While Black-and-white night vision in cams does an amazing job, but the better is always useful.
The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera offers a color night vision. With the lights, the cam has you can see the original color of things around your wireless camera.
If a steal crime happens in your house, with night vision you can see the colors of clothes and introduce them as evidence for the police.
5- Direct to WiFi No Hub Needed
Most wireless security cameras that connect to your WiFi have a major flaw, they require you to buy an expensive Hub.
But, in Our Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, we have the ability to connect the cameras with no need for Hub which is amazing.
A lot of customers complain about how expensive the central hub of cameras is.
For the Arlo Pro 3 Security camera, it’s a bit different. All you need to connect your camera is a strong wi-fi connection.
So, make sure you put your camera near to your wi-fi router, or if you’re forced to mount it far away from the router, then you must purchase a wi-fi extender device.
6- 6 Months Battery Life
Going through the hassle of replacing your batteries every few weeks, and if you don’t your system will totally stop.
Endless tiny screws, unscrewing, screwing back on, making sure no scratches are made in the cameras could be a hard routine, especially for busy persons.
For Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, we insert the Lithium-ion Battery to turn the cam on.
With no wiring problems or finding a power outlet near your camera, The Arlo Pro 3 security camera has a rechargeable battery.
On one charge the cam lasts up to 6 months to check it again. Although it’s not the best for security camera batteries it does a great job.
Note: to know how much battery life remains on your Arlo Pro 3 security camera, just check the power button LED light, it will display a red blinking light when approximately 10% of the battery life is left.
7- No Monthly Fees
Whether you’re a professional or a beginner in the world of security cameras and surveillance systems, you may make a big mistake when you decide to pick a security camera for your home.
This mistake is purchasing a security camera that has hidden additional costs like cloud storage, video playback, remote viewing, and more.
Some camera brands include these features with the camera, and some don’t unless you subscribe to paid plans.
For Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Security camera there are no monthly fees or service contracts to pay every month.
In our Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, We power the cam and start our 3 months of free trial for Arlo smart to figure out more about the cam.
The Arlo Smart subscription starts at $3 per month for the Premier plan and $15 per month for Elite Plan.
The difference between the plans is the number of cameras you have, and the advanced features you get such as Person, Animal & Vehicle Detection, e911 Emergency Call, and Activity Zones motion detection.
8- Two-Way Audio
Finding yourself in a difficult situation involving law enforcement agents or other police? Being able to speak to or hear from intruders can make all the difference.
Whether you’re seeing someone at your door that doesn’t belong there or you want to ask them for assistance, communicating with someone at your door has always been a challenge.
With Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera it helps you keep your home and family safe because it has 2-way audio.
The Two-way audio allows you to stay connected and have a conversation with your loved ones.
Wherever you’re at work or on vacation, in the living room or in your office you can communicate with your family and your kids via your Arlo 3 camera.
9- Wire-Free Fast Setup
Security cameras with wires (or requiring connection to a router via Ethernet cable) are both expensive and time-consuming to install.
They can also be unreliable (even if you struggle, unscrew the walls, etc.).
With the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, installation is easy and the whole job is done in a few seconds, unlike other wired security systems.
For the correct installation of the Arlo Pro 3 Security Camera follow the below steps
Open the package and insert the cam batteries
Plan where you want to place your cam inside or outside.
Fix the mount base with screws
Install the cam on the base
Turn on the camera from the power button and enjoy with your cam.
10- Compatible With Smart Home Systems
In our lab for the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review, we should test an important feature: is the Arlo Pro 3 compatible with smart home systems or not?
Since the use of smart home systems increased in the last decade we should have security cameras to work with it to produce a complete security system.
The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera works with smart devices you already have such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and SmartThings.
So your security system is actually an extension of your smart home and you don’t need to change the way you live.
This means you can protect the things that are most important to you by connecting both together.
11- Siren Alert
Home security is always a concern and being able to take action in the event of a break-in, with fast speed is absolutely amazing.
In many cases, visual alarms are not always the best choice, especially when a thief is already inside your home.
Don’t worry! You can fix it within seconds by pressing the panic button on your Arlo App.
First, once motion is detected the sensor is triggered automatically, then the siren raises and starts to make a loud sound to alert the criminals who try to enter your home.
Second, the Cam will send alerts on your mobile app to notify you of what happens in your home.
Note: you can control how the siren works manually or automatically from Arlo Mobile App.
Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Security Camera Drawbacks
1- High Cost
The only thing that we don’t like in Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam Review is the high price, Arlo offers cost-effective security cameras such as Arlo Pro 2 and Arlo Pro 4 with the same features differ only in 1 or 2 features.
Moreover, Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight cam is a good alternative you can select to mount in your home, it offers the same features but with a low light source, Unlike the floodlight Arlo cam.

As we are security camera installers, we noticed that customers and homeowners have different types of problems related to their surveillance systems such as camera colors are off, the camera shows a black screen, image flickering, Noisy footage, and the cameras shows horizontal or irregular lines (Also known as a smear or blooming lines) issue on the display monitor that makes it hard to see what is happening inside your house
So, in this post, we provided complete detail on how to fix CCTV camera issues at home when there are Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video. Before the solutions, it’s also necessary to know
Why do CCTV cameras show horizontal lines?
Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video problem shows ”rolling lines” on your monitoring screen that move from top to bottom and vice versa or sometimes move vertically from right to left or in the opposite direction from left to right, This Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video issue happen because of interference that causes ground loop problems or through faulty power supplies.
For power supply, A CCTV camera needs 60Hz of frequency, and sometimes due to low lights, it’s unable to produce enough light that can cope with the frequency requirement. As a result of which CCTV cameras will provide horizontal lines instead of explicit images and videos.
There might be a problem in the IP surveillance with those cameras specifically that have a single chip CCD sensor. In this problem, your CCTV camera cannot expose all pixels that are important to make a clear-cut video.
How to Fix Security Camera Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video problem

The first solution to get a clear picture is to fix the light source, which may be in the wrong direction. It happens when the light of your bulb at night falls on the CCTV camera or when your cam is directed to a powerful light source.
Solution: the only way to solve the problem is to fix the lighting source that should fall on the camera lens or move it away.  In this way, your camera will work fine and show clear video output.
Alternatively, you can change the angle of the light or reduce its intensity in the ambient area, or pick a darkened dome camera that will reduce the light.

There are thousands of CCTV camera brands and their types available in the market. In this situation when having Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video issue it is hard to find the top-notch camera of the exact criteria that you wish.
And one of the most common issues that cause this problem is a low-quality camera that is unable to show some images and videos at the lowest point. It may be due to the low resolution and pixel value of your camera.
Solution: in this case, we recommend using a camera which is able to meet your demands and provide a high quality of video.
Or, You can buy one with a high wide dynamic range or a high pixel value for the specification. Alternatively, a CMOS sensor could be another solution.
3- High Power Supply
Fix Security Camera Problems at home must be resolved by using a high power supply, as we mentioned above the standard light source of less frequency could be another reason for horizontal lines on CCTV video issues. It is a problem that can be easily indicated by the light source, which is very low.
Solution: provide a high power supply with a frequency of more than 64Hz. In this way, you can fix it yourself without calling a camera operator or a professional.
4- Check Cat 5 or Cat 6 Cable Shield
Another effective solution to the horizontal lines video on CCTV problem is to fix Cat 5 shield and cables problems, Cat 5 shield is a cable-type product that connects security cameras with DVR or NVR in a wired PoE system.
Solution: Disconnect the system connections and check the Ethernet cable of your system, sometimes the Rj45 which is used at the cable ends has a  grounded problem.

This review will provide you with first-hand information about the Arlo Pro 3 Security Camera which exists as of now.
Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Features
1- 2K Video & HDR
The first step on Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review is to check the camera resolution and its power in providing high-detailed images.
A lot of Homeowners and maybe you’re one of them worrying about burglars, unauthorized people entering their property or missing something they wanted to capture on video?
In this case, having a security system doesn’t stop worrying but at best it stops you from being freaked out every time a tree rustles.
The Arlo Pro 3 Security camera comes with 2K video resolution and HDR that means greater detail and more natural-looking colors than ever before.
With 2K resolution which is higher than standard security cameras that have 1080p, you can see everything in detail.
In addition, Using HDR (High-Dynamic-Range) technology will enhance the footage of your Arlo Pro 3 security camera for the best.
So, with this cam, you can see everything clearly in crisp clarity whether it’s a bright sunny day or in the dead of night.
2- Wide Viewing Angle lens
In the Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review evaluation process we compare Arlo’s cameras such as Arlo Pro 2, Arlo Pro 4 to see the differences.
In the previous article we reviewed Arlo Ultra, this cam has a wider angle of view than the Arlo Pro 3 security camera, it has a 160° diagonal Viewing Angle lens, not 140°.
While this viewing angle is not bad but also not the best between Arlo’s cameras.
This 160° diagonal Viewing Angle lens allows you to see more of your home and cover most of your outdoor area.
Some customers go for cheap security cameras that have a narrow viewing angle lens from 80° to 90°.
After a while, they discover that one camera can’t cover the whole area and they must invest in buying a security cam with a wide view range, and that is an additional cost.
Get peace of mind with Arlo Pro 3 Security camera if you want to cover a wide range of your property.
3- Zoom in Feature
A lot of homeowners and maybe you also worry about their family and property knowing that burglars can break in and steal anything.
Even if there are no burglars out there, sometimes you hear unfamiliar sounds or movements and want to check what is?
The best choice is to get for yourself a smart security camera with High Definition resolution and Zoom-in features to see things closely.
We go further by reviewing security cameras in many categories including zoom-in features.

Not only are there a lot of choices out there, each one claims to be the best in the world of surveillance cameras and security systems.
In Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review, we search for the top features and advantages that exist on only one camera, not most of the available cameras.
And for Arlo Pro 3 security camera, the cam works with our AI algorithms to detect movement and faces.
This added feature allows you to get more by Artificial Intelligence the camera will do
Vehicle, and Car Detection
Person Detection
Animal Detection
Package Detection
So, the Arlo Pro 3 Security camera will notify you of the things you wait and are interested in, there are no fake notifications and wasting of time.
5- Color Night Vision
Nowadays, there are many security cameras that provide black-and-white night vision which results in grainy footage and missing more details.
Although the night vision feature is essential in outdoor areas with low light, but the black and white footage is better than not.
In the Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review journey, we first open the package and turn on the camera to try the night vision feature.
What we found is the Arlo Pro 3 security camera supports both black-and-white and colored night vision.
Simply, the cam uses LED sensors to stream infrared night vision like Nest, Blink, and other security camera systems.
The additional thing is the Arlo Pro 3 has integrated spotlights, so when it gets darker, the spotlights will open automatically and the camera will start recording.
So, the color night vision allows you to see your world in beautiful color whenever it’s dark. It shows you more details and more angles, so you never miss anything important again. If you search for Arlo Camera with Powerful Light you can go for Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera.
6- 2-Way Audio
Lastly, there are a few methods to communicate with your family or kids when you’re away.
But now and in the fast communication world, you can hear and speak with anyone you want in seconds.
To make a call, you can use your small mobile phone to surveillance devices like home cameras. These home security cameras have a 2-way audio feature.
This feature is awesome to speak with your kids when you are in your room and they are playing outside, hear your dog, and what is doing while you’re busy.
During our Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review, we test the quality of 2-way audio and speak to see if the sound is clear enough or not.
After minutes of trying we can give the Arlo Pro 3 security camera full marks in 2-way audio.
7- Wire-Free
Security camera systems are still not that easy for beginners to installing it themselves, especially if the system is a wired surveillance system.
Arlo Pro 3 security camera is a wire-free security camera that is powered by rechargeable batteries, not plug-in like most cameras in the market.
The Batteries are 2 Lithium Polymer batteries that last three to six months depending on your usage.
It’s a wireless indoor/ outdoor camera and can be placed anywhere you want. It’s helpful and you don’t have to look for electric outlets or fix wire and cable problems.

9- 6 months battery life
In our lab for testing and reviewing security cameras, we plug in and turn the wired cams to see if it works fine or not.
The same with Network IP POE cameras, we connect the Ethernet cable and test it.
For our Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review, since it’s a wire-free cam powered by batteries, we insert the battery pack and turn it on.
From what we see, the Arlo Pro 3 security camera works in a few seconds, not taking too much time.

Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Drawbacks

One of the disadvantages that we face in Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Cam Review is there are some features available for certain countries such as the Emergency Response Feature it’s available only for U.S. subscribers only.
While this feature is important to have in any dangerous situation but every state and country has its rules, so we hope that Arlo makes this advantage for all countries.
2- Require Smart Hub
Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight Security camera system requires a smart hub device, so you’ll need to purchase cameras separately or buy the system complete package that includes the cameras and the smart hub.

How To Fix CCTV Camera Footage is Noisy Problem
When your CCTV camera Footage is Noisy this is because of Noise or interference of other devices’ signals that affect the CCTV cameras.
The use of a good connection, proper power supply, and the construction of a well-designed monitoring system can minimize the interference or noise problem from your security cameras.
Is your CCTV camera making a noise issue? Do you want to know why it is happening? and how to fix this problem?
Well, you are in the right place. In this article, you will get answers to your questions.
Why is CCTV security camera Footage is Noisy?
CCTV Camera Footage is Noisy is a common problem and happens when there is damage or cuts on connection, such as image flickering. The main reason is interference from HV electrical cables or RF signals to the camera range.
To stop CCTV cameras from showing noisy footage make sure the wired connections for power or Coaxial cable are away from High Voltage power cables, and for wireless cameras mount it away from any device using High Radiofrequency at least 1 meter to avoid interference.
Now
How to Fix Security Camera When CCTV Camera Footage is Noisy
When your CCTV camera footage is Noisy there is more than one reason behind that and you must make your troubleshooting, but here are the most common reasons
1. Wrong Grounding
Moving lines may appear on the screen if the grounding is done wrong. Such kind of interference is called a grounding loop.
A ground loop problem might happen at multiple points in the system, and each occurrence must be addressed separately.
Loops may arise from a camera to a switcher, between a camera and a display screen, or in various other ways.
one of the solutions for this issue is to buy Ground loop isolators, such as this available on amazon is a simple way to reduce interference generated by ground loops in a short time.
2. Using Low-Cost Cameras
Buy a branded camera that is more expensive than a local security camera. Branded and local cameras have differentiation.
The cheap camera does not have the latest technology. No matter how much you upgrade the infrastructure, the cheap camera will produce inferior, grainy images in low light.
Therefore, it is crucial to conduct thorough research on a product and ensure that it meets the quality criteria for your CCTV project before purchasing it.
For this purpose, meet people using branded cameras, ask their experience about the product, and then purchase. If you purchase a low-cost camera, you will wind up paying more than an expensive camera.
3.  Using Low-Quality Cables
If you have a wired Surveillance system such as analog CCTV cameras with DVR or Network IP cameras with NVR, the cables may be the reason that makes your CCTV camera footage is noisy, For Example
Coaxial Cables
A low-cost coaxial cable is insufficiently shielded against electromagnetic phenomena. Many users give little care to the cable they choose, despite being a critical system component.
For traditional CCTV, a cable called RG59 Siamese. It’s termed “Siamese” because it’s made up of two different cables connected to each other.
However, not all cables are the same, and low-quality or badly installed cables are reasons for most visual difficulties.
UTP Cables
If you are dealing with UTP cables (network cables) with the use Wifi Router, Ensure you’re using cables made by a trusted company rather than a low-cost Chinese manufacturer.
The most well-known Cat5e is because it is a copper-coated cable. But in many cases, because of poor quality, it causes problems.
4. Poor Connection
Most of the interference is due to poor connection. When building and testing a connection, don’t rush. Always double-check when your connection joints before turning on your cameras, and never be lazy.
There is a device that you can use to check your wired connections called a “cable tester”. This device enables you to see if your cables work fine or not? installed correctly or need enhancements.
Moreover, if your system wires have splices, make sure that you splice security camera wires in the right way and don’t affect other connections.
5. Inadequate Lighting
Plenty of light is required to capture a clear image in all cameras.
Therefore, there must be adequate light in the CCTV ambient areas. On the other hand, examine the nighttime function of CCTV cameras in demo films or look at the number of LEDs embedded into the camera before purchasing.
Solution: Installing floodlights or LED illuminators in the surveillance area is another approach to boost illumination or picking a camera with a night vision feature, and adjust the color settings.
6. Use The DNR Feature:
Many brands are using DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology in their cameras. You may ask
Why do we use DNR in Security cameras?
DNR is created for photography at night or in low-light conditions. The latest kind of DNR is 3D-DNR, or written as 3DNR.
3D-DNR is the most recent version of Digital Noise Reduction. It compares each pixel to the pixels around it, as well as each frame to the next.
This produces a crisper image than a typical DNR and increases the overall clarity of pictures while taking up less space on the hard drive.
When we talk about CCTV cameras, DNR is important for clear images. The CCD’s image sensor removes the grainy impact on images, resulting in a richer image.
This is necessary to detect any movement of objects on the screen. It’s beneficial to have DNR on security cameras to get full protection for your outdoor area.
7. Low Power Supply
If the power supply is not according to the specification, it will cause interference, noise, make your camera show a black screen, or lead to the destruction of the camera in the future.
Some cameras require 12VDC, also support the 10% above (13.2VDC) or 10% low (10.8VDC) the standard 12VDC, and some require 24VAC.
With the help of a potentiometer in power supplies, you can increase the voltage supplies. In the same way, some security cameras need 1A, and some need less than 1A.
8. Poor Video Baluns(Converter)
For wired systems, If you will use video baluns with Cat5e or Cat6 UTP cables, ensure you get the high-quality trusted converter that meets your system technology, low-quality baluns may cause Horizontal Lines on CCTV Video Problem.
Video baluns that work with HD-CVI, HD-TVI, or AHD cameras are available but with different specifications according to the technology of your cameras.
So, before you pick a Video Baluns know the maximum distance the baluns can use, read the specifications, and ensure that it provides high performance.
Final Verdicts
Above is complete detail about how to Fix Security Camera When CCTV Camera Footage is Noisy in easy methods. The reason and solution of the problem are mentioned clearly.
Don’t go into the rush and find the solution at once. But focus and find out the problem, then implement the possible solution.
We hope the above guide is helpful for you, if you still have an issue solving CCTV Camera Footage is Noisy issue, you can contact us by comment box or Email anytime.

2K with HDR
In Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Review, we first test the cam resolution and compare it with its predecessors.
The Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Security Camera has the same quality as Arlo Pro 3 both come with 2k resolution for recorded videos.
To produce the 2k resolution the camera uses a 4-megapixel sensor and HDR technology.
This combination enhances the footage quality and it’s more powerful, sharper, and clearer than ever before.

Most homeowners and maybe you’re one of them buy security cameras for knowing and recording what happens at night.
According to police reports, the majority of crimes happen in the dark when the sun goes down and become dark.
For this reason, security camera manufacturers produce home cams with advanced features like night vision.
In the past, there was only black and white night vision depending on using infrared LEDs, but now you can get Color night vision also.
In Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Review, we test both black and white, and colored night vision. Both are strong enough to make you see what is hiding in your outside area.
Integrated Spotlight
Before we dive into the Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Review, we test and review the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight security camera, and we are shocked by how powerful it is, especially in the dark.
But the drawback of Floodlight Arlo cam is it’s higher in price than this can.
The Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight security camera has only a spotlight, although it’s less powerful but with a strong impact.
The spotlights deliver sturdy illumination and contrast for color night vision. It’s useful and saves your money from buying separate spotlights for the outdoor area.

We make a small test in Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Cam Review for how fast the alerts, and the time it takes for messages to be shown on our mobiles.

No Need For SmartHub
The old Arlo Pro security camera devices required a SmartHub to connect to Wi-Fi and the cloud.
It made setup and installation more complex than it needed to be, and cost you more money for buying and fixing the hub in the future.
But, the good news is Arlo Pro 3 Spotlight the old version of this cam doesn’t use a smart hub, and so on Arlo Pro 4 it only uses a home wifi network signal with no wire.
With the Arlo Pro 4 security camera forget the base station. The camera has built-in Wi-Fi, you can bring Arlo into your home without needing an extra device connected to your router.

 2-Way Audio
Home security cameras are a must-have for homeowners and renters, but they can be complicated to use.
