VT COVID-19 Entry #2 April 6, 2020
I’ve been home for a week or so now. Being with my parents hasn’t been too bad, but I do miss Blacksburg. Things have definitely changed a lot. When I left Blacksburg, the VA governor sent out an announcement of an official lockdown where people should not leave their homes unless it’s for essentials. I have been “attending” church via Facebook every Sunday at 9am, which has been an interesting experience to say the least. Online classes have been the same, not much to do and pretty boring. I’ve been working out on a pretty regular basis, trying to go outside for a run or walk as frequently as possible. I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix, I finished watching “Friends from College” which was funny and complicated. Other than that, everything has been the same, I have been officially the most bored I have ever been, but then again there are worse things than being bored.

VT COVID-19 Entry #1 March 25, 2020
My parents made me come home today. I was staying in Blacksburg to focus on school even though it was online, I thought it would be easier to do work at Tech since that’s where I would normally be for classes. The death rate had went up and there were over 1000 confirmed cases of the Corona virus. There was a confirmed case of an international Tech student with the virus, so my parents felt more comfortable with me being at home in case anything happens. Things have been pretty boring since quarantine and online classes. I feel like half the time I have nothing to do even with work from my other classes. I miss being on campus and going to class. The college experience has been suspended and it does suck though I feel even more bad for the seniors as this was their last time to enjoy and live up the undergraduate experience. I’m home now, the drive was smooth, there were no cars so 79mph all the way. I’ll be back to update on how this quarantine experience is going while back at home with the parents.
