just checking in considering it’s been almost a month since i went on hiatus, hope everyone’s doing well. at this stage, i’m shifting over to a new blog/starting fresh (somewhat) but i’ll link that once things are set up.. still here though, vibing hard !!

* / HIATUS NOTICE -- FEBRUARY 1ST 2022

due to a busy schedule & a lack of muse, i’m going to be putting my blog onto a hiatus. i’m feeling really burnt out/drained & my creative drive is suffering as a result so it’s better for me to just take a complete break than force myself to work through it. 

i’m not exactly sure when i plan to come off hiatus, so if we have threads and you’d rather not wait around for me to come back, i completely understand if you want to drop them. same goes for anyone following me who i may not interact with yet-- i won’t be hurt/upset if you decide to unfollow while i’m gone.

           there was a very soft raise of their eyebrow, “i don’t want anything from you but your time.” morgan says, they are very determined to prove carrie wrong, that someone does care and will not leave her. and morgan can be quiet stubborn when they want to be. “well you are being stupid by not believing me. when i stay i stay. i do not back out, only way you’re getting rid of me is death carrie. now, i won’t force you to talk about things you don’t want too, but know i’m here for you, and i promise you that.”

       IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THEM, she has so little trust in people these days that it’s almost impossible to try. morgan is stubborn, carrie can see that, but so is she. it doesn’t matter if seeing them sends her into some kind of crisis, or that being around them makes her feel a little better for the time being, she refuses that risk. carrie doesn’t need another thing blowing up in her face. “ you can keep your promises, morgan. i don’t need them, and i don’t need you, ” she bites, looking anywhere but at them. carrie just wants to be left alone, to crumble and break in peace, away from eyes that’ll judge her and tear her down.

             SHE SHRUGS AT HIM, “ sometimes you do, ” she admits honestly. it’s not that much of a problem, she’s good at tuning out unpleasant noises. it could be a lot worse, anyway. yelena watches alexander as he goes through the bag, almost feeling guilty for benching him again. she knows it’s for the best, a way for her to protect him, but part of her doesn’t want to leave him behind. “ can you do me another favor? ” she asks, and continues before he has a chance to respond, “ go do something fun, something you enjoy. i don’t want you sitting around while i’m gone. ”

           he lets her speak before saying anything himself. luke is just happy that maya is asking him about this. because if they’re honest, luke has noticed the way their best friend is towards maya, and it makes luke happy to see, maya makes reggie happy and that is all he would ever ask for. “trust me… we all kind have noticed,” it isn’t meant to come off rude in anyway, just stating something he is sure that everyone would agree with. “what you do is, you tell him. with reg, you have to be blunt with feelings, or he’ll just either assume nothing or the worst.”

           reggie lets out a huff crossing his arms against his chest, closing himself off in multiple ways. “and i do say so, so fuck off with any healing bullshit. might as well also let the others know too.” one of the other ways he’s closing himself off seems to be pushing away those who want to help him, his friends. “who knows me better then me?”

         THE HURT FLASHES ACROSS ALEX’S FACE, and he does very little to hide it. after all, he’s been taking jab after jab, trying to get through to reggie and there’s only so much he can handle. “ you don’t have to be such a dick about it, reg. nobody’s telling you how to deal with any of this... we just want you to let us in. ” clearly the calm and careful approach just isn’t working anymore. “ pretending like this isn’t fucking you up isn’t going to work forever, you know. we both know what bottling everything up does to somebody, and it’s not pretty. ” alex isn’t telling reggie to get his head out of ass, that would be too harsh, and he knows that. he just wants his friend to see that trying to deal with a breakup this catastrophic on his own isn’t going to end well.
