♥ What's the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise? ♢ Has anyone ever tried to steal your blog? Your headcanons? Icons? All that jazz
thankfully, my rp experiences have been pretty good. i don’t ever find myself in drama and i like to think because i’ve learned to be pretty up front and leave no room for misconceptions to allow it. i think the only truly bad experience i had happened many years ago when i was playing dick gr*yson and someone who claimed they were about to be eighteen was pretty insistent on shipping with me. i shot her down, she was a minor and i’m not and she threw a little fit. i shut that down too. i’m not here to deal with temper tantrums because i won’t rp with you.
not that i am aware. so, either someone is very sneaky or i have lucked out !

A Reminder
Sending verbally abusive messages that cause the end recipient distress, regardless of intent, is a form of violence.
Mild forms of violence that make a place, digital or physical, inhospitable to a person is harassment.
Sending direct, private messages to a person's private inbox with the desire to upset, distress, scare, depress, or otherwise convince a person they are unwanted and hated is an act of harassment, and it's not behavior I consider acceptable within fandom communities, particularly between fans-- who all have about the same level of funding (we broke) and the same level of media access (we nobodies, besides to each other, to whom we may be known.)
Making violence acceptable in fan communities breeds toxicity, and greater violence.
We all know this shit is fucked. There's no excuse for it, besides the bumbling 'but, but... what if we NEED to bully someone out??'
None of us have the money to promote ourselves.
None of use have the resources to take control of platforms or be seen outside of algorithms and chance.
The best way to contain an unwanted element on your dash is to unfollow and block them, shortening their reach and taking yourself out of their community. Unfollow others who reblog their content, and tell them why you choose to do that if you know them personally.
You are not empowered to attack other people and have it framed as righteous. It is violence. It is harassment. It is unacceptable.
Please reblog this ♡
