To be honest, while Jake's character has been more developed as the seasons progressed, Devon and Lexy have not received the same treatment. Lexy was initially introduced as a bully who later became Jake's friend. She has now been reduced to just being an attractive face with little to contribute to the plot. Her only reason for sticking around is that she and Jake have a common enemy in Chucky, and she is trying to find Caroline. Devon, on the other hand, was initially a sassy but supportive person. He has now become nothing more than Jake's love interest. Interestingly, Grant has only been around for one season, and he has more character depth than either Devon or Lexy

I would argue that Lexy had a little development in season 2 and her scenes with Nadine, but it still bothers me that we never saw Lexy genuinely apologise to Jake for how she treated him. He literally just saved her from Chucky and then it was if all the other stuff never happened.

But yeah, Devon is literally the love interest for Jake, and it's honestly starting to feel as if Lexy is becoming that for Grant this season.

I don't even think Jake's character has been developed well either, I want him to be more confident but he's being written in a way that makes it feel as if he is more arrogant and it makes his character unlikeable for me.
