BREAKING NEWS: A PHILADELPHIA POLICE COP / FOP UNION LEADER SON ARRESTED WITH LOADED STOLEN GUN. Yes that’s right folks hot off the presses what happens when a Philadelphia Police officer / FOP union leader like Roosevelt poplar son is stopped by police. On 1/17/2023 A Mazda which is registered to him to FOP Union Leader Roosevelt poplar was pulled over . Was stopped on a routine traffic violation in the 39th District area of north Philly. As officers approached the vehicle to conducted an investigation one officer immediately observed what he knew to be a handgun in plain sight in the vehicle. Philly Detectives later found that the handgun recovered by officer in the arrest was stolen out of Georgia. The Philadelphia fraternal Order Of Police has given no statements to the media or comments about the incident. Officer Poplar could not be reached for comment. It has yet to be determine whether or not this stolen gun out of Georgia has been linked or involved in any shootings or homicides in Philadelphia or Georgia.  Also according to Police and Detectives the location in which FOP / Cop son was at is one of the 39th hot zone for the dumping of stolen vehicles. Carjackings at Philadelphia Gas Station have increased by more than 300% this year and growing compared to 2021, according FBI and PPD statistics reports. They include the following: A person can make an arrest if witnessing a crime. Under the law, anyone known for committing a felony may be detained until law enforcement arrives. A citizen’s arrest can take place if a person is engaging in a misdemeanor. A good example is if a perpetrator is disturbing the peace. The arresting person has to witness the act and reasonably feel that the behavior will continue. The citizen also must call law enforcement for their arrest to have validity. When To Make An Arrest What’s important to understand is that the arrest has to protect society. A citizen cannot detain another person for running a red light, for example. A misdemeanor act of breaching the peace is the exception. Officer Grant#3196 clearly does not know his job as a philadelphia police officer. You can not approach and stop citizens for filming, videotaping or taking Photos of officers while on duty. What officer Grant did in this video was a clear violation of Law and stop and frisk ordnance. Cops are supposed to de escalate, not escalate a situation. In this case officer Grant committed a crime when he shove the PA State Agent with his hands telling him to get out of his way. officer Grant gave an unlawful order to move because he did not have the right to detain his client without just cause. Merely talking a photo of a cop car does not rise to a cop ordering a civilian to stop or forcing that civilian to explain to him why he took a photo of his patrol car. Breaking News: Philadelphia Judge Washington finds PSP State Agent not guilty of illegally carrying a firearm inside the CJC courthouse during a jury trial. Act235 Agent now plans to sue the Philadelphia Sheriff office and Sheriff Lieutenant O’Leary for false arrest and other violations under color of Law that Sheriff Lieutenant O’Leary committed.
