the scariest thing about old tv isnt really the racism or the sexisim because you kinda go in braced for that it's all the scenes where suddenly an actress is holding a lion cub or a chimpanzee is in the same room as a toddler, or suddenly theres a lion, or there's a chimpanzee again but it's driving a car, or holding a lighter, or holding fireworks. You just kind of watch in horror as over and over an actress performs with only 1960s tv film shootings best animal handling between her and the opening to Nope.

#was kind of a dick for a while until I unfollowed and then #sent herself very specific anon hate regularly and told everyone else in the friend group it was me sending it #none of them ever approached me about it personally just made passive aggressive posts #literally ended up chasing me off tumblr for over a year when someone finally popped over to my messages and Said Something #which turned out to be extremely aggressive 'fucking leave x alone' type shit #would not listen when I said I had no idea what they were talking about #I hadn't even looked at any of their blogs in months I had no idea what the fuck was going on with them #I was off doing my own shit #ended up blocking the lot of them and using tumblr savior to make it so I never saw their URLs again #at least for a while #have since mostly jumped ship from the fandoms they were involved in #do follow a couple folks who still talk to a couple of them but it's been long enough that idc much anymore
