it’s been said a million times before but hair removal isn’t self care and doing your makeup isn’t self care and plastic surgery isn’t self care and none of these things can empower you as a woman. they aren’t things that can be repackaged as girlboss behaviors. and if you do any of these things (i shave too! i wear makeup too!) you need to acknowledge that while they make us more comfortable, it is only because of misogyny and the things we see as imperfections in our bodies were fabricated in order to sell “solutions”. feminism isn’t simply about women making our own choices bc women are fully capable of making choices that were influenced by misogyny and push harmful standards onto other women 🤷‍♀️

why do so many people ignore the entire process of labor when discussing abortion, unwanted pregnancies, and women’s right to bodily autonomy. labor is no trivial matter! it kills! it has killed! for the majority of human history it was the leading cause of death of women! to me there’s something about trivializing adoption by saying “just give [the child] up” and completely ignoring the tremendous amount of physical pain and irreversible bodily damage women go through giving birth that’s even more disgusting than not supporting abortion to begin with!

Males don't see us as humans; they are not making love to you; they just want to dominate you, force you, and brag about it to their male friends because they see us as a sex toy that needs to be broken and bragged about. Females, separate yourselves from these demons. How many examples are needed to see that males are not capable of love? They say we are submissive, but they have to continue demeaning us.If submission was our nature, they wouldn't need to always force it upon us.
