Thoughts on our beloved, badass lady Mei?

Going to probably ramble but here we go,

Mei is one of my favorite characters in LMK and her being a motorcycle racer on top of a sword wielder ON TOP of being part of the Dragon Clan and having a badass dragon aura are cool reasons to love her

But her being rough-and-tumble while still having feminine traits such as wearing makeup (she is always consistently wearing pink lipstick and she loves wearing dresses such as that one dragon dress she was put in season 3) is nice, because she doesn't have to one thing, she can like things like racing and fighting and not have to give up her femininity (it's just something I personally like)

Though I do feel like she should get more focus and how she was handled in season 3 in some parts could've been better (I know that they have a time limit with the episodes being short and only ten episodes every season)

Like she has the Samadhi Fire and while the little hints were good, there is so much to be deserved (now if you like season 3 and all of it, I'm not coming at you or trying to discourage your enjoyment of it, this is just my personal opinion)

Like she has it, but she doesn't get a moment where she really USES IT, it feels like she treated more like just the McGuffin for the heroes and the villains to fight over

And how does she even have the ring to beginning with? How did it pass down? Does this means that her parents also have it? Or does it disappear from them when the youngest is born? Just leaves me with more questions than answers

And than she doesn't use it at all in season 4 and I think "so what was the point of all of that?"

She deserves good arcs and more episodes devoted to her, she has so much potential as the descendant of Ao Lie and the Dragon of the West (also why did they end up in the Dragon of the East palace if they were going WEST???? could've been a PERFECT opportunity to see the Dragon of the West, but anyways)

I do love her moments to shine and her being badass, she honestly should stab/bite more people

she's a chaos gremlin and I love her for that

she is unabashedly herself and its wonderful

I wish that we got to see more of her dragon powers, she has this cool green electricity and honestly I feel like instead of her getting a crazy op fire, we should have seen her unlocking more of her heritage, like can't Chinese dragons shapeshift? control weather and water? that would've been really cool to see instead of just fire since I feel like that didn't really fit her

She should punch Macaque in the face at some point, I feel like she should get that after well EVERYTHING (man literally choked her and triggered a very traumatic event for her, though Macaque couldn't have known that that would happen, still she has the right to be mad at him)

And her and sun wukong are an underrated duo and they should interact more in my opinion, they have a lot of parallels and I feel like they'd be an interesting dynamic

People say that MK needs therapy, which he most certainly does, but Mei honestly needs it too, she's been through a lot too

Her and MK are everything, an actual m/f friendship where they are supportive and physically affectionate, but there is no hint/indication of them becoming a couple (and the one time someone brought it up, MK shot that down), it's so refreshing to see

And how she is always there for MK, she is a great best friend

so, yeah, love Mei, she's the best dragon girl
