to be perfectly honest. i don't care if it is cheesy or cliched or idealistic. i like stories where the core of it is about kindness, the warmth we can offer others and the gentleness we receive in return. maybe the moral of the story IS love triumphs. it better fucking be
I know everyone loves dunking on zionists but please please please reblog and share some GFMs. Go through Hussein's huge gfm list or my mutual aid tag, there are lives at stake and people who need help.
this argument that people are just protesting for clout is insane to me as though we haven't all been watching people get smeared and fired by their employers and schools, or doxxed and harassed by outside organizations without any protection from their employers or schools for publicly criticizing the occupation of palestine since october 7th
schools like ucla temporarily switching to remote instruction is twofold interesting because first, it is a transparent attempt to wait out the disruptive effects of protest by shifting the learning environment into the private space (a capitalist innovation!) of the student's room, which a protest cannot so easily impinge upon; but second, it is something that would not have been possible before the pandemic, before the mass adoption of technologies that could serve accessibility but are now being deployed by the reactionary project. an ongoing pandemic is not reason enough to let students participate remotely—the threat that truths about imperialism will spill into this environment of "higher education", however, is enough to force them to.

This brave brother allegedly took the baby away from his dead mother's corpse; effectively, saving the baby's life, according to local reports.
The United Nations condemned the attack that targeted the camps in Lac Vert and Mugunga, near the city of Goma, the capital of North Kivu province, the UN said in a statement.
The attacks, in which at least 20 people were injured, were a "flagrant violation of human rights and international humanitarian law and may constitute a war crime”, it said.
Many of the victims were sleeping in their tents when the area was attacked.
The United States has accused the military in neighbouring Rwanda and the M23 rebel group of being behind the attacks. Yet the U.S. remains a staunch ally of Rwanda despite its many violations of human rights in DRC and its support for M23.
