My girlfriend is 31 years older than I am. I am 21, and she is 52. We're both happy and content as can be. I'm not the typical partying 21 year old. I have a state job, and we own a house together. We get along because I'm more mature than the typical 21 year old. Even all of my friends are in their 50's like she is. I wouldn't have my life any other way.

My 35 year old friend just started dating a 21 year old girl. Ive met the girl, and she’s super sweet, naive, and only recently came out. When we first met, she asked me out, and we talked a little, but I cut things off when I found out she was so young (I’m 27). My friend is convinced that this girl is amazing and they’ll date long term. But honestly I think what my friend is doing is fucked up and unfair to the girl. I don’t know what to do, if anything, without sounding like a petty jerk

I don’t see how it’s fucked up or unfair. So long as they’re both legal, consenting adults they’re free to do what they wish. And there’s people with larger age gaps that make it.

Friendly reminder that yesterday when my mom took me to Walmart she left me alone in the toilet paper section and this guy started hitting on me and I said “Sorry, I’m a lesbian.” and he was like “Oh my god I’m so sorry I thought you were a boy.”
