So is merle ambrose mayor too he has his hand in the school and how the city is run as a whole actually why is the entire community centered around one school. now that I think about it

As close as Wizard City can get to a mayor, yes! Ravenwood is structured in the same way as a traditional university, which is basically just a "city" founded on the basis of academia and multiple schools/colleges. It would appear that, in what we see of Wizard City, there's the main Ravenwood campus, the school commons area "the commons" (and the establishments on it), golem tower (whether or not it's under the school's domain is anyone's guess), and some surrounding city areas influenced heavily by the Ravenwood academy. Within cities surrounding academies like Ravenwood (a prestigious academy seemingly open to students of all ages), we usually tend to see the city/town cater a lot of its businesses, events, etc to students. Wizard City would appear to have no mayor, so it would make sense that Merle would somewhat fit that spot given his high status in wizard communities and his status as headmaster of the academy the city has built itself around. I will note though that Wizard City appears to have no mayor role, or any need for one. Merle tends to step in to help from a charity/neighborly standpoint occasionally, but it would appear the streets separate from the school tend to act sovereign? They tend to handle things as a community when possible, and even their guards aren't seen as the wizard city guards, but as guards of each street. If viewing the streets as sovereign, it may help to view the guards as more of a militia than an official military, as as far as I'm aware there isn't really anything to show they ARE more official than a militia. Or maybe this is all wrong and Bartleby's mayor, we can never be truly sure.

I think the best indicator of Wizard City having no mayor is that there is no collection of money by a government there. At least, I sure as hell haven't been paying anything. Maybe I need to have a chat with Bartleby at some point, or respond to those letters from the "Incantation Recollection Society"...

Holy SHIT something about Lemuria just feels so. Smooth. Idk if it was because Karamelle was rough????

The prequest was fun, Dasein and meeting him was wonderful, there’s not really a death clock and I’m not panicking about someone dying, not to mention the environments are interesting looking, and very pretty as well. The Old One’s labs are so jarring from any aesthetic we’ve seen in the game, even though we jump around a lot. It strangely reminds me of a book I read called Running Out Of Time— (I don’t quite remember the plot bc I read the book at like. 9.) especially within the context of Lemuria.
