hey so uhh I don't really reblog or interact a lot with nsfw stuff (like fanart or Gifs) but if you're uncomfortable with jokes or innuendo this blog might not be for you. It's not All about that this is just a heads up that sometimes I have the humor of a thirteen year old boy
It's so funny how Jonny doesn't sound all that computer-ish when speaking as Chester and the OIAR gang just doesn't really question why the computer speaks with a full range of emotions like a regular human person.
Jonathan Sims, faced with a supernatural being that has explicitly stated they want to kill him: "I think now's the perfect time for a snarky comment."
"is this too cliche?" who cares? bro, write what you have fun writing. stuff your manuscript full of your favourite tropes. the same themes you love. all inspired by things you grew up with. do it all. go off. load. it. up. be freeeee
It’s funny to me that Magnus Archives started out with mostly “normal” ghost stories & held back on the really weird stuff until later seasons, whereas with Protocol we’ve gotten the following in the first twelve episodes:
- Guy Who Murdered His Wife Gets Turned Into a Tree While Running From the Cops
- Man Made of Needles
- Demon Antique Enthusiasts Who Crowd Crush People
- Janitor Runs Away From IRL Timelapse Only to End Up in a Cannibal Restaurant in the Void
- A Guy Just Straight Up Gets Run Over by a Semi Truck
- Knockoff Barney the Dinosaur Shows Up to a Strip Club and Starts Smashing Skulls
What episode hit you the hardest in TMA? For me it's Wonderland and Strung out!
Ooooh that's a really tough question. I think I have a few answers bc a lot of them hit me in different ways
22. Colony was the first one to really hit me. I started listening to tma shortly before getting out of a very infested living condition and I had honestly never seen a fictional character undergo something similar to me, albeit through a spooky supernatural lense. That feeling of being under siege and trapped in your own home really got me and made me instantly connect with Martin on a deeper level than the other characters.
Even before that though, there 9. A Father's Love, which didn't hit me super hard on a horror level but the imagery was so vivid that it inspired my first ever magnus art. I posted that here a while ago (I'll go find it and reblog this with a link to it after I answer).
And then yeah Wonderland got me right in the medical malpractice. Thank god for content warnings. Out of the whole series that's my only skip when relistening. Not a bad episode, just really effective in a way I prefer not to expose myself to often.
