Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut D Pharma & B Pharma students got placed in Hollister Pharma a US based Pharma MNC.
SVU organized the campus placement drive in collaboration with HR Pan India, wherein 450 students from Gajraula & Meerut campuses took part.
After 3 rounds of selection process, the company shortlisted 64 candidates & gave them offer letters.
These candidates got placed as Pharmacists & Research analyst. All these candidates will join on July 1st.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri & the Pro chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, congratulated the selected candidates & wished them a bright future.

Shri Venkateshwara University, along with Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) and VGI Meerut, hosted a national seminar on World No Tobacco day.
The seminar dwelled upon awakening the masses & specially the youth about the ill effects of smoking and tobacco use. Over a dozen renowned Doctors apprised about the adverse effects of smoking and tobacco use & how it’s a silent killer.
We carried out an awareness rally to ban smoking and to prohibit it in the country.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, Dean Academics Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, & Dr Atul Verma inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to goddess Saraswati.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, announced that the faculty & students of Gajraula & Meerut Campuses will awaken people about the terrible effects of smoking.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor of SVU, announced they will promote the message of No to Smoking Yes to Life & will urge the Government to ban tobacco nationwide.
Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, a well-known microbiologist, underlined that tobacco use causes over 70 lakh deaths worldwide every year, demonstrating the gravity of the situation. Of these Pulmonary Cancer kills over 40 lakh people.
After this, we conducted an awareness rally to ban smoking & Tobacco use.

It was a day of momentous achievement for the Venkateshwara Group.
Vishwajeet Sheoran an M.tech (Civil) & 2021 pass out of the Shri Venkateshwara University secured 126th rank in the UPSC 2022 civil services examination.
In honour of Vishwajeet achievement, Dr Sudhir Giri gifted him and his parents a shawl and memento.
We honoured Vishwajeet Sheoran by showering flowers in an open jeep all the way from Gajraula to the University campus.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, appointed senior Scientist Dr VPS Arora as the Chief Advisor for the Venkateshwara Group.
Dr VPS Arora, after assuming charge, vowed to make Shri Venkateshwara University among the top 10 higher education institutions in the country.
He would work in collaboration with the educators & staff of the University.
On this occasion, the dignitaries launched the new edition of Srijan, the official magazine of the Venkateshwara Group that showcases its education & social activities.

Today, Shri Venkateshwara University’s School of Nursing culminated a 10-day workshop on Advance Cardiac & Paediatric Life Support with the Glorious International Nursing Research Foundation UK.
In this 10 day workshop, the experts from the Glorious Foundation UK trained nursing & medical students on the ways to save the patient’s life in an emergency.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, & the Nursing Dean Dr Ana Brown inaugurated the valedictory function of the nursing workshop by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.  
The College Management, along with the Nursing Dean, Dr Ana Brown, gave certificates to over 450 nursing & Medical students who took part in the 10 day workshop.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, while addressing the workshop announced through R & D, the Venkateshwara School of Nursing will be developed as a Centre of Excellence.

We applauded the role of the Nurses for providing selfless service & honored them for doing exemplary work & providing care to the patients.
SVU held an international seminar to discuss the Role of Nursing professionals in increasing awareness of transgender rights and health.

On the birthday of Florence Nightingale, over 400 nursing students pledged for dedicated medical service" by lighting a candle.

On the occasion of World Red Cross day, the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) along with VGI Meerut, organized blood donation camps & collected 242 units of blood.  
We organized these camps in Meerut, Amroha, Bijnor, Baghpat, Moradabad & over a dozen districts & educated people about the benefits of donating blood.
On this occasion, we felicitated 88 donors with a memento & certificate who donated blood.
This included Medical/Paramedical, Nursing & other staff members who voluntarily donate blood.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Pathology HOD Dr Garima Bhatnagar, Blood Bank In charge Dr Naushad Ansari & Dr Ana Brown inaugurated the Blood donation seminar & donors felicitation ceremony by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Dr Sudhir Giri, Chairman of Venkateshwara Group, reiterated that blood donation is the biggest donation of all & if 1 percent of the population vows for organ donation, then countless number of people will have a new lease on life.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi informed we celebrated World Red Cross day as a festival & organized blood donation camps in over a dozen districts of western UP, including Meerut, Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor & Baghpat.
Dr Garima Bhatnagar stated that if every healthy person donates blood, then we can save 5 lakh lives that are lost because of accidents, surgeries, & other causalities that cause immense blood loss.

IEML & the Skill India department jointly organized the India International Education Expo at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
Over a 100 renowned Universities/educational institutions, along with a dozen skill development institutions, took part in the event.

Over 10000 students visited our student help desk to enquire about the many professional & job oriented courses of the university. They admired the job oriented courses & showed interest in the admission process.
On this occasion, SVU launched its flagship scheme called Operation Smile, wherein it will distribute scholarships worth INR 5 crores to underprivileged meritorious students.  
Students seeking admission in UG/PG courses of engineering, IT & management along with other courses can take advantage of this scholarship scheme.  
In his address the Chief Guest Dr Mahesh Sharma reiterated through NEP, quality education, medical, healthcare services, infrastructure & a bold foreign policy India is on track to become a world leader.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri stated the Venkateshwara Group is nurturing skilled professionals as per the global requirement.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi informed that students of both UG & PG courses will be shortlisted based on their score in the qualifying examination & the entrance test.

SVU’s VIMS along with the UP Health department, organized a 3 day Mega Blood donation camp that culminated with tremendous success.
We collected 164 units of blood in this Mega Blood donation camp. The VIMS management & Health department officials felicitated the donors by gifting them a medal & certificate.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, & the Senior Medical Officer Dr Pragya Singh inaugurated the event by cutting a ribbon.
VIMS Blood bank unit was the venue of this mega blood donation camp.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, urged the citizens to celebrate their birthday, marriage anniversary & other functions by donating blood & avoiding partying & wasting money at such functions.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced that on the forthcoming Red Cross day on May8th the Venkateshwara Group along with the Red Cross society will organize blood donation camps.
We will organize these camps in Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Hapur, along with a dozen districts in UP West.
Dr Pragya Singh reiterated that if every healthy person donates blood 4 times in a year, then we can save 10 lakh lives that are lost because of accidents, surgeries, other causalities.

Shri Venkateshwara University/ Institute organized a 2 day seminar on the topic Emerging Opportunities in Agriculture sector.  
In the seminar, Agriculture scientists elaborated ways to double farmer’s income by discarding old methods & adopt techniques that will transform agriculture into industrial farming.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Chief Guest Prof A. K. Singh, former Sr. Scientist Israel Agriculture dept., Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, & the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.  
The VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & senior Agriculture Scientist cum Dean Prof C P Kushwaha assisted them in inaugurating the seminar.
On this occasion, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, called agriculture the soul & backbone of the Indian economy.
He reiterated the commendable work by the Government to improve the condition of farmers by adopting progressive farming techniques that will make India self-reliant & strong.
Prof A. K. Singh, the chief Speaker, affirmed that agriculture has boundless opportunities.
If the farmer abandons traditional farming & adopts the latest techniques of organic farming, animal husbandry, fishing, mushroom cultivation & tissue culture and operates it as a business, then they can augment their income & make India a world leader.
In terms of employment generation, the agriculture sector ranks only after the IT & management sector.
The experts gave tips for doubling farmer’s income by establishing food parks, technology start-ups, & agriculture export zones.
Over a dozen agriculture scientists from Sardar Patel Agriculture University, Pantnagar University, gave their valuable advice in the 2 day seminar.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi advocated farmers must discard traditional farming and integrate technology to make farming an industry. Only then can India become a world leader.
HOD Prof C P Kushwaha, Dr Jyoti Singh from SPAU, Dr Raj Kumar, Dr Laxmi Karan & Dr Mata Prasad also addressed the agriculture seminar.

It was a memorable day for the Venkateshwara Group.
Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Senior Oncologist Dr Abhay Bhatnagar & Dr Mohit Bhatnagar’s (Former Director GIC Cancer Institute) five-member team operated upon a 48-year-old patient & gave her a new lease of life.
The patient was suffering from breast cancer.
On this achievement, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri congratulated the Doctors of the Oncology department and reiterated his commitment to develop VIMS as an advanced cancer institute.
He informed that under the PM’s Healthy India–Fit Indian Mission VIMS offers world class & the most economical health services in UP west.
The Pro Chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, informed that all complex surgeries, chemotherapy, mammography, and advanced MRI are available in VIMS. From July onwards, VIMS will offer the most advanced radiation therapy in western UP.
The Chief Spokesperson & Pro Chancellor of Venkateshwara Group Dr Rajiv Tyagi informed that Dr Abhay Bhatnagar along with renowned oncologist Dr Mohit Bhatnagar’s five-member team performed the 6 hour long operation and saved the patient.
For excellent cancer research & treatment services, Dr Abhay Bhatnagar & his team will be felicitated with the International Best Researcher Award 2023 on May 7th. The World Research Council will honour Dr Abhay Bhatnagar in the presence of Doctors from 42 countries.  
There was a beeline of people congratulating the oncologists for this successful operation.

Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) performed well in the All India Sports & cultural Festival, Aura 2023, organized by Army Medical College.
It was a special day for the Venkateshwara group.
VIMS, under the aegis of Venkateshwara Group, won over a dozen prizes at Aura 2023 organized by Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi Cantt, wherein 50 Government & Private medical colleges took part.
The medical students of VIMS won these prizes under stiff competition from other participants and made the Institute proud.
By outclassing students of Safdarjung, AIIMS, Lady Harding, Maulana Azad, PGI, UCMS, & RML in debate, Painting, Dance, Cartoon making, street play and extempore VIMS, students grabbed over a dozen prizes.
Major General Dr Surendra Mohan of the Army Medical Corps, along with the VC of ACMS Col Dr AK Singh, felicitated the winners by giving those medals & certificates.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, congratulated the winners and asserted that VIMS students are setting new milestones by offering quality medical services. They are helping to realize the honorable PM’s mission of Healthy India–disease less India.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi contended the Doctors & medical students of VIMS are not only serving the patients in rural areas but also winning sports & cultural events at the national level.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi elaborated that VIMS Aniket team won first prize in debate & street play competition while Aniket stood first and Ritik Shekhar second in the solo dance competition.
Similarly, Janhvi Sharma was the winner in cartoon making. Aniket again grabbed the first spot in solo acting.
While, Abhishek Katiyar and Anushka Dwivedi both grabbed the second spot in the painting competition.

On this occasion we felicitated the cleaners with the Cleanliness Motivation award as they are the backbone of our cleanliness campaign.

Dr Kamal Malik, former MLA & President Nationalist Thinkers Forum, stated that Dr B R Ambedkar was the only person who opposed Gandhi ji & Nehru during the partition of undivided India.
Dr Ambedkar believed in equality, freedom, national unity, truth & social harmony and these were the basis of his thought process.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi informed Dr Ambedkar uplifted the exploited sections of the society by explaining them the worth of education & knowledge for leading a respectable life.
