Ito was one who cared greatly for the wellbeing of others, and payed very careful attention to Suzume’s body language and how she spoke. She did sense that Suzume perhaps was feeling rather upset in some way, she would have to ask her about it over tea if she would allow her too. Ito understood full well that the death of another is quite the burden to bear with, especially perhaps for somebody like Suzume. After letting Suzume answer both of Ito’s statements she proceeded to speak.
Tumblr media
“Do not worry about me, as a Maiko, it is my job to bring happiness to those around me through my art, tea happens to be part of this, So serving you is no weight on my shoulders, I certainly have the time.
She figured she should also make some tea for herself, Ito had been craving something to calm her down quite a bit as of late and tea was something that always did, so the extra hand could make carrying it easier, but she could probably manage on her own, carrying a tea cup was not a foreign concept to her. She figured that if Suzume did not wish to join her than she would simply make one cup of tea for her, and make one for herself perhaps some time later.
“If you wish to assist me in making or carrying the tea I will not object, I do not mind the extra hands, however I am certainly capable of doing so myself, I like to believe my tea is possibly some of the best.
Suzume had yet to grow accustom to someone wanting to bring her anything due to the fact she was used to being the workforce coffee runner...Yes, she may be a well known and sought after mind in the Criminal Justice field but she was still what most adults considered....a kid.
A simple nod was all Ito got in the form of a reply at first as Suzume rose to her feet and tucked her notebook underneath one of her arms and began to move in the direction of the door...
Tumblr media
“.....I do not see...reason as to...why I cannot help you carry...this specialty tea you speak of...two pairs of hands will be better...than...one...”
Her words seemed thought out...calculated and properly executed as she spoke, walking towards the door and reaching to open it before standing with it open, waiting for Ito...at least she has some manners.

rakugaki-girl:
There isn’t sadness in her heart.
Her eyes stare into the ceiling as she lays back on one of the lounge’s many sofas. What kind of room needs this many sofas anyway? The ceiling has no patterns in it. Nothing of interest, nothing of merit. That leaves her alone with her thoughts. Thoughts she figures should be deeper. Or more interesting.
There’s nothing inside my mind.
That thought flicks her eyes shut… and then open again. Is there something that should come to mind? Perhaps people like Yahiro would be talking about how amusing it is. Seeking out new victims, people to harass, perhaps to fluff up one’s ego. Others like miss Suzume would surely be on high alert to make sure it won’t happen again. But it would. It will. That’s just the nature of the game. It’s been constructed well. Then others… surely some of them are sad. One died and another was… murdered. Truthfully, they’d both been murdered. Perhaps some of her peers were regretting it. ‘If we send Eiji Ebina’ to his death we are no better than he’… or something. But it’s all preservation. It’s an easy choice, right?
Reality denied will come back to haunt.
That’s quite natural. In her head it makes sense. But the fact that it makes sense… that it comes together so easily…
It’s a little disappointing.
Towa pulls herself up and brushes the fringe out of her eyes. There’s nothing interesting. No interesting shapes in the ceiling. No smells or colours to buzz a sense to life. Just a muted sense of nothing. That confirms it more than anything. She’s a hollow shell of a person. She’s heard it before as well. Maybe there’s something wrong in her head.
That’s why you’re alone. That’s why they lie to you.
She shakes her head and looks across the room realizing as someone enters. It doesn’t… look like they’ve been there long. Or perhaps, rather, it doesn’t feel that way. Straightening a little she tilts her head at the intruder. There’s no real sense of welcome in her demeanor nor is there any murderous intent for the intrusion. It’s just… a blank slate.
Tumblr media
“Oh, you surprised me.”
Said somebody who barely looked fazed.
Suzume had been doing whatever she could to keep herself busy after that gruesome spectacle of an execution. From organizing cabinets in the kitchen and taking further note on what there was available...to looking for possible other hidden doors like the one she had already found in the kitchen. Unfortunately for Suzume, she had nothing worth reporting to anyone who was even slightly curious..whatever way everyone had been swooped in....they surely were not able to get back out that same way. Sighing in temporary defeat, Suzume moved on from the kitchen and heads for the lounge...a place that she found that not many of her club-mates frequented...just where did they spend their time she wondered? Not like it was any of her business to begin with though...
As she waked from the kitchen to the lounge she had her notebook in her hand, reading over it carefully and looking to see if she had missed any of the rooms that were accessible to them...was this all they were going to see while they were kept here for an undetermined amount of time? Too many questions with too little answers Suzume had as she opened the door to the lounge and walked though, stopping at the door and just standing there deep in thought as she looked at her notebook.. But Towas words took a moment for her to register....
...Oh..
Tumblr media
“.....Good...Evening, Tobe-san...”
Just like Towa, Suzume didn’t have much of a fazed tone to her voice more like she had nothing to her voice.

Smiling bright Ito was very glad that Han-san had allowed her to speak with her, Ito was quite ashamed of her outburst during the trial and was quite worried it had negatively affected how others may see her, she hopes to redeem herself through communication. Listening carefully to Suzume speaking she replied after she had formulated a response in her head.
“I am very happy you took the time to take inventory, I had thought of it myself but I am not quite as thorough as most may be. However I do not want you to worry about helping if you do not want to, I would love to treat you to some tea, no effort on your part required”
Ito is an entertainer before all else, and it is her job as a Maiko to entertain in even the smallest of ways, making tea for her friend would be a simple way she could do this. She of course has thought about performing for others but she is unsure if anybody would be interested in her art. Taking a breath she spoke again to Suzume, she would be happy to have Suzume accompany her but not if she did not want to.
Tumblr media
“May I ask what your favorite kind of tea is? You may accompany me if you so please, however I do not mind serving you, consider me something of a servant for the time being if it suits you better, and entertainer if you will.”
Suzume was still rather wary of Ito now that she had seen what can happen when it comes to Ito getting worked up...but she wasn’t the only one who Suzume now knew the behavior of! But when Ito spoke, Suzume simply nodded and rested her hands in her lap.
“If...you wish to get us some tea, I will not... refuse...if you are not aware of where the tea is located, you will find it in one of the upper cabinets...”
She silently added before she pulled the notebook back from its place and opened it again...thinking the conversation was over for now...but when Ito spoke up again, Suzume looked up at her with green eyes before looking away again and speaking...
Tumblr media
“I am not...picky on tea types...anything is good..but any type of green tea would be suitable for me right now...I can accompany you if you would like some help carrying things...I am not strong but I can at least carry a tea cup...You do not need to serve me....but if you wish to do so I will not...protest..”

Ito had been very fond of the sitting room herself, it was very quiet and not many people came it all the time. She would often use the sitting room to rehearse her dances and practice her singing, however it is not quite the same without any music. However like many others Ito needed an outlet to distract herself from the reality of the situation she was in, especially after the murder and execution of two of her friends who she would so dearly miss. Taking a break she decided to spend some more time to herself in the sitting room, however to he surprise a fellow student had already been seated in the room before her. However, Ito did not mind, in fact she was rather pleased. Ito was rather fond of Suzume, she was very calm and collected, and although Ito tried very hard to be the same she often bursts out into rage occasionally, especially when others are hurting people. She wants to be more like Suzume. Smiling She entered the room.
Tumblr media
“Pardon me for intruding Han-san, May I join you? I could go and fetch some tea if you would like.”
Ito had a very delicate and peaceful sounding voice, It was very loving and pure, very relaxing.
Had Suzume been paying more attention to who entered the room and not just the fact someone had entered the room she would have realized quickly enough it was Ito. Upon closing her notebook though and being approached Suzume placed the notebook beside her, wedging it between herself and the side of the chair. When Ito offered to get the two of them some tea...Suzume looked to the side blankly for a moment in thought.....
“.....I do not see why not....as for tea...I will help you if you would like...I organized the stock...earlier when we arrived...while taking an inventory...of what we had...”
What a strange thing to say....

kabukimonno:
The trial had indeed left Nori shaken to his core - after all, they had just sacrificed one of their classmates by sending him to his death. It may have been done as a justice to another fallen friend, but that did not change the fact that the blood was still on his hands. Or, at least, on the one pointer finger he had used to press the voting button. But Nori was nothing but if not an actor, and an expert on concealing his true feelings.
In truth, he had been not been expecting to stumble across another one of his classmates on the promenade he was taking. Especially not Suzume: he and the girl had not spoken, and for good reason. But that was irrelevant. He did desire someone to talk to, and he was rather open to discussion with any of his classmates. Not to mention that ever since the trial, there had been something that was playing on the edge of his mind.
With his usual blustering enthusiasm, he approached the criminal analyst. Nori was originally deliberating how to approach her, but his job was made much easier by the fact that she turned around and acknowledged him. He met her striking gaze with a wide grin before launching into his usual absurdist nonsense.
“Ah, Suzume-han! Again, I dearly hope that you do not mind that I call you that, yes? ‘Han-han’ is somewhat redundant, and belies your… Oho, my sincerest pardons! I’m getting off track!”
Shaking himself ( figuratively and literally ) of his social mishap, he rested one hand on his waist and cocked his head. His eyes meeting Suzume’s celadon ones, he continued his thought.
“I really must commend you for your performance in the, erm… class trial, I believe that it was called! Your analysis is truly the work of a Super High School Level! Comparable to, uh… Poirot, or Zenigata!”
…No one tell him that neither of those people are criminal analysts.
It was odd for the Crime Analyst to actually want to...socialize for once but it was a need that must be met or else she may lock herself in her room for the rest of the night and ponder of the ‘what if she had done ______’ which would lead to unneeded debating with herself.
When her light green eyes met with her classmates own rather enthusiastic classmate, Nori Higashiyama her tired and stoic demeanor softened slightly.
“....That is...quite alright..I do understand...my name is rather...difficult at times...but there is...no need to commend me...it was simply what...I must do...”
She bowed her head a little in thanks of the praise though..but when the mention of two names she vaguely was familiar with came up she pondered on where she had heard them before...before deciding to think more on it later...
Tumblr media
“I do apologize I was not able to get us to a conclusion...any quicker than we did...I did wish that we could get on with it instead of wasting time...It only drew out the inevitable...despite us not wanting what occurred....to occur...”

Suzume had found a rather...homey sense whenever she visited the sitting room. Mainly because it was comfortable yet also quiet...she could focus on her notes she had taken in the time she had been held captive in this mansion alongside her club-mates. She had no hope of them being rescued anytime soon, but she would not be letting the others know that thought. She knew how long it would take for them to actually be found statistically... But the sound of footsteps brought her out of her thoughts and she looked up, closing her notebook for a moment to greet whoever it may be...
“.........”
Looking for words, but none escaped her lips...
Tumblr media

Wishful Thinking || Suzume || Chapter 2
With the foreboding execution come and gone...Suzume didn’t feel much sadness on a business level. But for one she did feel a certain feeling of...regret? Why had she voted to begin with? Why had she followed this new ‘system’ so closely? Why couldn’t she break the rules for once and admit what happened was wrong
Green eyes scanned the walls of the hall leading to the bedrooms, calculating where she was to go next...where was there to go...? Back to her room was the safest option, yes but she did not find herself wanting to be alone right now. She needed a distraction of sorts to keep her wandering mind from wondering too much on how any of this was actually...possible.
When she turned around though she saw a fellow club member and awkwardly looked at them...not speaking just...looking.

TELL ME... suzume-tan
16. “Okay, okay…. come here and let me hold you. I’ll tell you everything.”
The situation of being locked inside a mansion with your fellow clubmates had been...a peculiar situation at first. But once the news of they would be enforced to kill one another in order to escape got tossed at them as if it was such an easy task...that caused Suzumes calm demeanor to falter for a moment. Death and then execution....how many more times was this going to happen? Things had surely gotten rough and luckily she found herself on good terms with Towa Tobe. Someone who outside of all this you wouldn’t think she would associate with but she actually wanted to know more about what she did...that could wait though. There was something she needed to tell Towa without people thinking she was relaying important information....They had already been talking so what was she to do...?
Tumblr media
‘Okay, okay…. come here and let me hold you. I’ll tell you everything....I mean...sit..next to me...I do not mean to come off as someone perverse...I simply want to share my findings with you...without looking...suspicious....”
What had came over her to say such a thing....Her cheeks had tinted pink and she tried to regain her composure...that was quite a weird thing for her to say....
‘I do apologize Tobe-san for my abruptness”
She bows her head in shame...

TELL ME!
24. “I’m afraid of bees!”
It wasn’t something she was exactly proud of admitting...but it was something nonetheless she had to at least tell someone...and Ito seemed to be someone who wouldn't find her to be strange upon admitting it...it was common to have a minor phobia...right?
Tumblr media
‘Ito-san.....I am afraid of....bees....I believe they have great purpose for us...but I once got attacked by one and....it has frightened me ever since...”
There...she said it! In as monotone a voice as ever but she said it regardless...she hoped Sango wouldn’t judge her...she didn’t hate bees! She just hasn’t grown to trust them again just yet....
