Umar Ibn Al-Khattab رضى الله عنه said:

“No matter how much guilt you feel, the past will not change, and no matter how worried you feel, the future will not change.

Go easy because the outcome of all affairs is determined by the Decree of Allah.

If something is destined to go elsewhere, it will never get in your way, but if something is yours by destiny, it will not be able to run away from you (nor can you run away from it)”.

There's no greater feeling knowing your whole purpose for waking up each and everyday is to serve Allah and please Him. May our intentions always be to please Allah alone!

Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) said,

كونوا [...] تعرفون في أهل السماء، وتخفون على أهل الأرض

"Be [...] known to the people of the sky [i.e., Angels] and hidden from the people of the earth."

“If perhaps, one day, we did not meet on this earth, and the cup of death set us apart, then our next reunion will be in the abode of eternity, where every kind soul, lives along side a kind soul.”

Social media has spoiled the sweetness of joys, and clouded the solace of sorrows,

It has dressed people in fake attires and taken them away from the spontaneity of actions to the affectation of emotions,

How miserable is the life of one whose nature has been altered and whose spontaneity has been robbed.

Once you fully accept that nothing is actually in your hands and that everything is in the hands of Allah, the stress and weight of all the small things in your life disappear.

Yahya ibn Mu’adh al-Razi said, “Glad tidings to the one who leaves the dunya before it leaves him, prepares for his grave before he enters it, and pleases his Lord before he meets Him.”

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَٱلْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

"He is the One Who made the sun a radiant source and the moon a reflected light, with precisely ordained phases, so that you may know the number of years and calculation ˹of time˺. Allah did not create all this except for a purpose. He makes the signs clear for people of knowledge." [Surah Yunus , Verse 5]

Contemplate The End Result

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said, “A wise person must always contemplate the end results and be careful of them. He must not assume that the way things are going at any given moment will continue.

He must look into the shame that results from achieving a temporary forbidden lust and the ignorance resulting from being too lazy to seek knowledge.”
