"Yeah, pretty much. We always worry during and after a full moon, you just never know what you can get yourself into in that form..." Kaylee trailed off. "You know how it is." She glanced over at Silas. "We're all just glad you're safe."
@silas-dogboy
the wolf boy woke up shivering on the ice of the frozen lake ... "the fuck?"
Caleb and Kaylee woke against the cool ground, the piercing red lights of the basement shining on their bare bodies. Their pounding headaches affected their sight, but they both sat up and stared at the electrified bars surrounding them. Their clothes lay on the ground nearby.
"How are you feeling?" Caleb spoke up first.
"Fine," Kaylee muttered. Which was a lie, they always awoke with something that felt like the world's worst hangover. It was just common courtesy at that point.
Disoriented, Kaylee attempted to stable herself. She rubbed her head, and Caleb followed suit. It would be a bit until Bobby or someone came down to unlock their cages.
Even around the Christmas season, they were still dealing with this shit, but atleast they were a family. A fucked up fucking family.
It was only recently that Silas and therefore Laura had joined them, which was nice. But the winter hadn't proved to be any easier on the werewolf pack; atleast they were able to stay inside most of the time.
Speaking of, they had to go look for Silas and make sure he (and Laura) were okay. They were outside last time they were told, hopefully SIlas made it to the tunnel. Or the island, or something.
It didn't take long for Bobby to release Kaylee and Caleb from their family built confinement. As usual, he didn't really say anything to them.
They both threw on their jackets and headed outdoors. They first checked the tunnels. He wasn't there. Maybe he went to the island? Even if the water was frozen over, being locked in the tree house was better than roaming free.
it didn't take them long to see it. Shortly after arriving at the boathouse, they saw a familiar figure. In the center of the frozen lake.
"Oh shit." Caleb would absolutely have to get their dad's and possibly grandparent's help for this. God dammit.
"Silas!" Kaylee called over to him. "Are you okay?"

Kaylee smiled, lifting herself and Silas to their feet. "Sounds good, we'll get you some once we get to the lodge."

Kaylee too stiffened at the thought of a fire. She still needed to dig deep into that trauma, she realized. Fire...water...all they needed now was something terrible related to snow. She KNEW Caleb was the same, he must've just...got caught up in the moment. They could've lost Silas, and that's what was at the forefront of Caleb's mind.
She glanced between Silas and Caleb. What he said eventually caught up to him, and he stuttered something out. "Oh...oh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like-" He stopped. "I'm sorry."
Kaylee returned her attention to Silas. "Is there anything else you need?"

Kaylee wrapped Silas with what blankets she could find. "Yeah..." She held him tight. "I'm sorry. Water sucks. I still find it hard to go in or near it, honestly."
Caleb knelt down to Silas and Kaylee's side. "Do you need anything else? I guess for now we can just bring you into the lodge and start a fire."

"Jesus Christ." Kaylee and Caleb both rushed to the dock and helped Silas climb on top. They shivered at the thought of him traversing water, they too had several unpleasant experiences, once being werewolves and all. It felt like something wrapped around the entirety of their skin and wouldn't let go. It stung like hell. They thought they would curse water and never swim for the rest of their lives.
Before Caleb could say anything, Kaylee ran to get blankets from the lodge. On top of being a werewolf, the water was also...freezing. Basically, it's a double whammy. "Are you okay?" Caleb asked.

Caleb and Kaylee let out a quick breath of air, amused by Silas' comment. The weight of the situation dawned on them soon after, and the panic once again set in.
Kaylee scanned Silas' surroundings. "Can...can you move? Is the ice cracking?" Caleb gave her a look. Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing to say but... She shrugged.

"Yeah." Jed glanced over at Silas and his catch. "Let's go."
"hey um mr hackett?..... can you take me fishing?" silas asked shyly "I've never um fished cause i thought i couldn't touch water as a human"
@silas-dogboy
"Mmm." Jed knelt down and clutched 2 fishing rods and some bait.
Due to his grandchildren and child being exposed to the werewolf curse, he's come to know a thing or two about them. Well, he had to, in order to survive. In order for his family to survive. He always thought water did something to them, going off of the poem Travis found and some off comment his grandchildren gave here and there... "Aren't your kind affected by water?"
