I know I’ve said it a million times but I will never not find it funny how Ravi saying “I’m not really with them” just fucking. JUMPSTARTED the firefam adoption process. Before that they were normal (for them)!!!! They were annoyed he jinxed them!! They were like ugh the probie is here at the treasure hunt we barely know him and now we have to cut him in! He wasn’t even on their same shift!!!

And then Ravi said “I’m not really with them, I barely know these people” and they’re staring at him and suddenly his appearances increase. He’s at Albert’s graduation (the only one not on their shift who’s there, I KNOW they lied to him and said everyone shows up), he gets pulled into their shifts multiple times, they’re chasing him around with chainsaws and dragging him back into the firehouse to come home!

This dude accidentally said the secret words that triggered his adoption because their collective abandonment issues reared up and they took his words as a personal challenge for him to never leave lmao

There was a teaser for a podcast he did that’s out on April 30th and he basically confirmed that Eddie’s introduction was very well Buck having conflicting feelings bc he’s an attractive man. Here’s the teaser!

Like honestly as a Buddie shipper, what the fuck are we supposed to focus on??? What does all of this mean if not Buddie canon???

We get closer than ever this season. There’s a lot of changes in the relationship and how we interact. We’re trying to give the audience what they want.

Well, there’s something brand new for both of us. I can only say that much.

Outside of Christopher, Buck would be the second closest thing that he can have as a relationship.

And then go to Buck and say, 'I trust you with my child, and I see how much you put in for my son; this goes beyond friendship, and I love you to the core. To have that sense of vulnerability is a sense of strength that has been shown.

And the way Eddie navigates that is just kind of a no, that's just who he is. And nothing ruffles my feathers. Even if you break my ankle or maim me, it's fine. That's who he is, and I love him either way. And there's no competition for Eddie.

I don't think that the Buddie fans are wrong.

There is a chemistry there that exists just naturally, so we don't have to try and lean into that or lean away from that. We just let it flow.

Oh, 100%. 100%. I watch certain edits and I think 'Am I Team Buddie?' because there are really talented editors out there. And you know how it is.

Obviously Eddie and Ryan who plays him is obviously an attractive man.

I think with this season 7, we got a lot in store for the audience. You give them what they’ve known and a lot of what they don’t.

There’s a scene in the first episode, where Eddie reveals that he's going — or he mentions a first date, and it in fact ends up being Christopher's first date. And Buck has this moment of "Oh. I thought things were going great with Marisol...' So little moments where I felt like, 'Is there scope to play with Buck?'

They've both become quite embedded in each other's lives. "I think they've kind of bonded and connected on so many levels, whether it be work, their personal lives and then add in that kind of fun dynamic where they clearly do just get on well. I think it's just a nice recipe for a good relationship, however you choose to see it.

There's some really beautiful stuff between him and Eddie and kind of them being open and sharing things with each other that they may have been reluctant to share with—I know how that's going to be taken. But it's true. [They're] there for each other in a very kind of open and nonjudgmental way.

They get to show up for each other in different ways. Moving forward there’s almost like potential for things to come up in a not so great light. But we get to see their friendship persevering, and them being there in ways they didn’t necessarily expect for each other. And I just, it’s a really lovely journey for them this season.

Eddie doesn't really have a sense of direction, so he reaches out for the closest person, and that closest person is Buck.

And Eddie was a mess. I think at that moment, the friendship had a turning point and now has allowed Buck and Eddie to really share as much or whatever they'd want, the scariest things in the world they could share with each other. And we're going to be seeing more of that this season.

As far as [Eddie's] sexuality, I think it's pretty clear that he's tried to fill in this motherly, this wife type role—that's all he knows…"And he's a man [that] first off, he's Catholic. Second off, he's from the military. So those are very straight-edge kind of lifestyles that don't offer too much of exploring. But through the 118, he's had this epiphany each year, like, 'Well, maybe I don't know as much as I thought I did. And maybe I should be exploring a little bit more and maybe I should understand myself a little bit more and even seek a therapist, which is something new for Eddie.

He is actually starting to figure out who he is outside of 'I am an Army man who has a silver badge! ... He's way more than that. He's starting to live in that [feeling] a little bit more, and I think that's freeing to him.

At this point we can’t be reading between the lines or coming to random conclusions when every thing said is so blatantly obvious.

I find it very interesting that Tim Minear told an interviewer that they are “basically laying down the train tracks on 911 while the train is still moving”. And then he further added that they’re still “in the middle of writing episodes 8-10” which are literally set to air next month. So what this tells me is that they are definitely waiting to gauge general audience reactions for the storylines they have leading up to the small hiatus. Because the hiatus gives them plenty of time to rewrite anything that might not be accepted positively or double down and perfect their initial ideas.

Now what I find a little suspicious is that Tim is a calculated person. We know that he called Oliver ahead of his current storyline and talked to him about what his plans were for Buck, which was his sexuality storyline. Now isn’t it strange how another person on the show, Ryan Guzman, seems so happy and keeps assuring in all his interviews that the writers take into consideration feedback from fans and are going to give us what we want? All the interviews he’s done with Oliver, just give off vibes that they both know something we don’t know. So why would Ryan be so confident in what the writers are writing when according to Tim, they still don’t have anything concrete written for the last three episodes of the season? Unless…unless Tim has also called up Ryan and expressed what his plans are for his character’s storyline for the season. Maybe it was even a joint call of some sort to let both Ryan and Oliver know that he perhaps has plans to get the ball rolling for bringing Buddie together romantically. And what way to do that is by dipping his toe in first with Buck’s storyline with Tommy to see how the general audience reacts to the possibility of Buck dating a man.

Meanwhile Tim has also shown how strong Buck and Eddie are as a family unit with Christopher in episode 7.01. So whatever happens in 7.05 before the hiatus, it’s likely to arise some questions for viewers. And while sifting through the comments and feedback, it’ll help Tim make up his mind on how to finish off this season. Which means it can very possibly end with a big confirmation that Buddie is happening come season 8.

I just think with Tim sharing so many Buddie stills to his personal Facebook page before the season even aired, choosing that specific Buckley Diaz family moment in 7.01, and confirming that they don’t have plans for Buddie “right now” doesn’t confirm it’s not happening. On the contrary, I think he’s literally waiting and watching how the public reacts before coming up with a concrete plan on when it is time to make it happen. Everything he’s done and said just seems so deliberate in my honest opinion.

And both Ryan and Oliver’s behavior also seem very deliberate and I can go on and on about that as well but I’ll just say they’re behaving very differently this season overall than any other season. I mean just look at how often Oliver shares Ryan on his stories. And how quickly Ryan shares 911 content and pictures taken by Oliver to his stories. This has never been the case between these two in all 6 years they’ve worked together. All that aside, choosing both of them to interview together, discuss their storylines and promote together was a definite choice made by whoever is in charge. So why those two specifically when it could’ve been any other 911 cast member? Peter and Angela had a three episode arc and we didn’t get a single joint interview together. We know JLH and Kenny have a big wedding storyline coming up and have yet to get a single joint interview with them. Aisha and Tracie have a storyline coming up about them adding to their family and we don’t have any interviews with them. But we also don’t have any interviews with just like Kenny and Aisha since they also play best friends on the show. Like all these decisions that were made ahead of this season are very suspicious to me especially when you consider literally everything else that’s been said by Tim and both Ryan and Oliver. So I guess take what you will with all this information but I’m just very suspicious about everything that’s going on.

And now I want a more in-depth reasoning about Ryan knowing since s2

Ok so when Ryan would give interviews in season 2, he was always so nervous and like would default to calling Buck and Eddie bros or a bromance. Check out his like interviews from Paleyfest 2019 or any other one and you’ll see what I’m talking about. So I’ve always thought the introduction of Eddie was very suspicious because it was introduced in Buck eyes like how you would introduce a love interest. Like the second Abby was gone, we get Eddie and he’s being shown through Buck’s eyes and everything. But obviously in the beginning it wasn’t and we came to find out that he’s just in addition to the team yada yada. But what if he was meant to be Buck’s love interest and the writers realized this and used it to their advantage by bringing Ryan into the loop? What if they saw the pure organic and natural chemistry with Ryan and Oliver early on and decided there’s so much potential there so they told Ryan about it since he was the newer addition? And season 3 is when he went all in and started actually acting like Buck’s future love interest bc that is when it was possibly decided they’re gonna go the slow burn route. The reason I say this is bc if a factor of things.

Typically when a show decides to do the whole slow burn love storyline, they let one half of the pairing know in advance before telling the other half. Why they do this is to allow one half (the one that knows) to act romantically and allow the clueless one to feed off their energy. It gives for a wonderful dynamic where the romantic chemistry shines through and the audicme isn’t left to wonder if they’re seeing things or not. So in this instance, Ryan would’ve known and Oliver was kept in the dark. This makes sense when you consider their behaviors when asked about Buddie. And Ryan wouldn’t have been allowed to tell Oliver, hence him being kept in the dark for as long as he had been. Ryan was possessing all the attributes one does when they’re acting on screen with their love interest.

Any time Ryan is asked about Buddie in interviews, he always acts semi nervous and laughs it off, calling them brothers or a bromance. He’s adamant about not changing his tone so he doesn’t slip up and give something away. You can see him actually getting nervous each time he’s asked that. The best example is his IG live he did for “Eddie Begins”! He was answering this question, “Abby better stay away from Buck and let Buddie happen!” He laughs nervously before answering, “Abby gotta kick rocks. Sorry Abby you’ve been replaced by Eddie.” But just before that he answered another ask, “We are not a couple. Definitely brothers, best friends. I know y’all like to speculate and we appreciate it…we ain’t here to turn anything down.” Both times he was nervous and forcefully laughing before answering. I can tell by his facial expressions and overall body language that he’s keeping soemthing hidden. His laugh wasn’t a genuine laugh but one in which someone does when they don’t know how else to behave in that instance. He knows a secret that he can’t give away which supports my theory that he’s known for a while.

In season 4, we still had Ryan continue calling their relationship a brotherhood but emphasizing how important Buck is to Eddie in the “Story of Eddie” featurette they did. But he also gave an IG interview with this woman (I can’t find for the life of me), where he stated he was more open to the idea of Buddie happening. He was very positive and open to them being romantically together. Let’s not forget that season 4 was when he started dating Ana but still chose to heavily play Eddie with fondness and heart eyes when it came to Buck.

Ryan’s a phenomenal actor and he can be very flirty with his on screen love interests. The fact that we saw him acting so weird when he was in a relationship was initially believed to be so ooc for Eddie. However if Ryan was acting like that with GW, while simultaneously still playing Eddie in love with Buck makes me further believe he’s known about this for awhile now hence his acting choices. It was as if he’s been portraying Eddie in love with Buck for as long as he’s known him so that when the writers decide to take them there, it’ll all be laid out in front of us for many years prior. We all are aware of Eddie’s fondness and overall love for Buck simply bc of how Ryan chooses to portray Eddie.

I think Oliver hadn’t know this entire time which is why he was always so genuine when he was asked about Buddie in interviews. Because he was just giving his opinions on the pairing, whereas Ryan’s responses made it seem like he was kinda against it when he wasn’t. I think Oliver was brought in on this secret before season 5, even possibly the end of season 4! That would explain his entire IG behavior when it pertains to Buddie. That’s why he’s now freely sharing Buddie fan art and edits because he’s not worried of being accused of anything since he knows it’ll happen somewhat soon. And that also explains Ryan’s behavior as well, sharing Buddie scenes on his IG like he hadn’t before. Also given the fact that everything we have seen from this half of the season so far shows that it’s very possible they are both acting very much in love with one another and I think it’s because the actors both know of what’s to come for their characters soon! Not saying they’re getting together this season or anything but I really do think it’s definitely heading there soon and they both are very aware of this fact now, given their acting choices.
