I think some people don't... like the final girl trope for the reasons I like it. It's not about having a #girlboss it's about having a woman surviving no matter what, no matter how dirty and animalistic she has to become. she is freed from the burden of having to be palatable because it doesn't matter anymore. she screams with her whole body, snot is running down her face, she wildly swings a weapon without any grace. "who is the final girl supposed to rescue if her boyfriend dies" HERSELF!!! IT'S ABOUT HER OWN SURVIVAL!!! she is brought to her base instincts where there is no one else to care about other than herself and that's when she is freed!!
