Day 1, afternoon. Mabel’s diary.

Of course when I get to visit a paradise island, it rains. It’s like someone’s making things harder for me on purpose (I mean, maybe? It really wouldn’t even surprise me at this point). But anyway, I did what I came to do and cleaned up the beach (and found a common Eye of the Sulani, nice!). I thought it’d cheer me up but even though getting rid of all the trash the stupid tourists leave laying around made my eco-friendly heart feel all warm and fuzzy, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe I made a huge mistake in moving to Strangerville. But yeah, soaked and feeling blue, I tried to do that reaching out thing that’s supposed to be good for your mental health and chatted a bit with the lifeguard but he had no great insights for me.

Got back home, had the strangest feeling that someone had been in my trailer. Also, someone left some nasty fruitcake on the table outside. Had a piece, bad idea. Went in and idk, people love to call me paranoid BUT MY FRIDGE WAS GONE AND ACCORDING TO THE NOTE SOME ACTUAL REAL LIFE GOVERNMENT AGENTS TOOK IT. Like... what the actual... like who’s the paranoid one now? Unless they weren’t government agents at all... it’s a mystery.

After I calmed down a bit I ordered a new fridge (see I knew the money would run out quickly) and booked another odd job. Apparently this lady was looking for volunteers to clean up the beach in Sulani. The perfect job for me, getting paid to help the environment.

Strangerville. They really named this place accurately. Massively creepy vibes. I thought they’d have bit more of a problem renting out property to a teenager with no job or papers or anything but I guess the cash payment was enough. Luckily they didn’t ask me how or why I was there, all alone with 20k in cash (that one’s a bit hard to explain). Actually, they didn’t really ask me anything at all. Live and let live I guess. 

I unpacked my stuff (not that there’s much tbf) and then I figured I should probably get ahead of things and tackle the homework that mysteriously appeared in my inventory (so weird, I don’t remember signing up for school). I may not have parents influencing me to do shit like that and I’m no over-achiever but it seemed like the responsible thing to do. 

After that I signed up to do one of those odd jobs. Some guy wanted me to pick up his nomnoms, whatever. I’ve still got some cash left but hey, a girl’s gotta eat and the money will run out quickly at the rate the inflation is hitting the single dish prices. Plus, the timing was good, no welcome wagon for me thank you very much. I don’t know why but the sims here seem to be glitching more than I’ve ever seen anywhere else... I think. Idk, strange shit.

Meet Mabel (in all her vanilla-no lighting mods-no reshade-no editing-glory). A teenage runaway (maybe? She came out of CAS alone so that’s all the information I have so far) who is set on making the world a greener place and helping others see the truth (just do your own research, she’d say) and who just landed in Strangerville where the owner of the park neither asked any questions nor reacted coherently when she rented her trailer. What’s her story? Will she figure out what’s wrong with the town? Will she handle high school or drop out? Who knows, I certainly don’t. Tune in whenever I get a chance to post…

Saint Napoléon's Day Imperial Banquet at the Tuileries Palace

THE TRADITION OF THE GRAND BANQUET

The grand banquet is similar to the State Banquet in Francesim Empire. It is the imperial manufacture of Sèvres and Baccarat crystal that sparkle at the table, engraved with the symbol of the imperial eagle.

His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor, invites 2/3 of the people in the room, the remaining third being given to the guest of honour.

GRAND BANQUET AND NAPOLÉON IV

Since his coronation, His Imperial Majesty Napoléon IV has received several dozen nations in Francesim at the Grand Banquet de la Saint Napoléon. The banquet of the previous edition was held in the Tuileries but in the grandiose Salle des Machines, which is an opera hall within the Imperial Palace.

For Officers of the Imperial Legion of Honour, the decoration is worn as a badge with a red medal for men or a red bow for women.

For Commanders of the Imperial Legion of Honour, the decoration is worn as a red ribbon around the neck, under the shirt collar and over a tie.

For Great Eagles of the Imperial Legion of Honour, the decoration is worn with the red sash on the right shoulder and with the vermeil plaque of the Order.
